Unfortunately Chinese entertainment is very different from western entertainment. It’s not easily changed. This has been the way for a very long time. When you sign a contract, make sure you read everything beforehand. Lusi’s father should have advised her since he was an actor as well. She’s not the only actress/actors who is suffering. This is not isolated. She will have to pay plenty of mula to get out of her contract. It is definitely risky. Unfortunately these actors/actress are easily replaceable. Also if you get too powerful and too wealthy and become too public, there are consequences as in previous precedents. Wishing back to good health both mentally and physically.😢

The time for her to break free is now. While this is the hot topic.if she doesn't do it now,she never will ,No matter the penalty fee they want. If it bankrupts her, then so be it.she will not heal mentally while she still works for those people. She is at the peak of her career and can always make more money but what's important now is her health.

Unfortunately these contracts are never benefitial to the artists. If even super famous, super rich get abused, imagine what happens with less famous artists. Also when an artist gets super famous he is faced with over working hours to make as much money as possible regardless their health condition

Sue the company and refuse the penalty fee - argue that agency broke the contract by its abusive conduct

Typically, artist contracts in China and Korea last for 7-10 years, sometimes even longer. It's really rare to see shorter contracts ...

Her story is about the trade-off between health and work. The management company does not take good care of her, they just think of giving her a lot of resources to create money and she can make a lot of money during her time in the spotlight. It is best for her to take an indefinite leave, and only do advertising photography or advertising projects. The filming work should be stopped now, and will be signed in writing. She should not leave the company when the contract ends to avoid financial loss.

Zhao Lusi is absolutely one of the best Chinese actresses in my book! She totally reminds me of my daughter with those similar features and hard working characters.
In China, many actresses and actors have had to endure "slave contracts" despite their health deteriorating.

Why not give her a rest. Long leave , loss of money? For production house ? Lusi health more important.

All celebrities experiencing a breakdown should prioritize their health recovery.

People go through many stages in life. It isn’t unusual to want to quit at some point in any career. It isn’t unusual to be oppressed by someone or more during a career. To even become seriously ill. It’s all part of a learning process for the individual about life and its journey.. give her space to be ill and recover. It isn’t a sin or problem until others make it so. She was ill that’s not a crime or sin against society or her fans. If she didn’t work hard she would t have gotten ill. Stop judging. Let her get well and go back to work. The hospital and doctors said she was ill, they know. Hospitals don’t help fakers, she was very ill. If China wants to progress then stop judging everything and assigning blame.

Maybe in future, need a lawyer before signing a work contract.
