      Thank you for asking doubt.When the incomplete plane starts from the top (upper half) of the crystal, its +ve dislocation.it is represented by the symbol ⊥ When the incomplete plane starts from the bottom (lower half) of the crystal, its -ve dislocation.it is represented by the symbol T
