My cousin has 2018 model. It's a perfect premium 160 cc commuter. Mileage which we used to get is 48 in city and 55 on highway. Downside is, it lacks top end speed as compared to hornet although having same engine. And on corners it is not as stable as hornet because of softer suspension. Yes but practically be don't need top end performance everyday life, on regular basis we just travel 80-90 kmpl, and if you travel below 4k rpm then you will get about 65kmpl mileage in xblade (I am getting this in bs4 then this will increase in bs6) which is excellent
No ACG in this one 😓. I love Honda Xblade but they are still using the same primitive centrifugal oil filter and screen filter at a place where one needs to remove the engine RH cover for cleaning them. They seriously need to change/upgrade it to paper type oil filter system. Paper type oil filter provides better filtration, engine life & engine oil life. It's required now, as engine oils are a lot costlier than before. Also, the screen filter should be repositioned at an easily accessible place(Ex - Bajaj Discover's Screen Filter comes out with the Drain Bolt). These 2 things affect the life of these beautiful engines as most of the mechanics don't clean the centrifugal filter & screen filter every 15000 kms. Also, they should have at least provided 90 section tyre at the front. I guess it can be switched to a 90 section later as it's speedometer sensor is not in the front wheel.
Centrifugal filter is also present in Xtreme 160R, and no one is complaining except me, what an irony. same comment I have already posted on another video.
@@struggler5960 I had messaged Hero Motocorp about this long back during Karizma ZMR 2.0 launch in 2014 but didn't got a response. Again messaged them during Xpulse 200 BS4 launch. I got a response from them this time but still they didn't updated that primitive oil filter system, i think no one demanded for it. I don't like these filters since Old CBZ, Ambition, Karizma were launched. Even Pulsar UG models, Avenger, Old Platina, Honda Unicorn 150(Old) & 160(New), Hornet, Hero Splendor & HF Deluxe have the same oil filtration system. My dad had a Fiero, it had paper type oil filter, i was very impressed from that design and since then i don't like the centrifugal filter design. Do you work on engines yourself or Are you an Automobile Engineer ?
@John Doe Screen & Centrifugal filters are primitive now. Obviously paper type oil filter is better in terms of filtration(Considering PPM). People in India like to keep their commuter bikes stock as it's illegal to do modifications in India. Also, we expect commuter bikes to be pocket friendly. Centrifugal filters collects the black particles and metal shavings in it and When we put a new engine oil, the oil goes dark very fast. Because of this problem, people have to change engine oil frequently. If they don't change the oil frequently, the black particles and metal shavings get mixed in the engine oil and starts ruining the engine parts even when the engine oil is good. As engine oils and spare parts are a lot costlier nowadays, it's better to use paper element oil filter because it filters the oil better. Better oil filtration means better engine life and engine oil life. Whenever we change engine oil, the paper type oil filter has to be changed and with the old oil filter, all the black particles and the metal shavings come out resulting in more life of the new engine oil. As you mentioned about CBR 150R, it comes with coolant system, which we call liquid cooling, which is obviously better than air cooling but i don't expect Xblade to have it as it increases maintenance cost of a bike because coolant change is also required during periodic maintenance. I mentioned only about oil filter because these are commuter bikes and it should be pocket friendly and must have long life. Now from a customer's point of view: For cleaning a Screen filter and centrifugal filter, the engine RH cover/clutch housing has to be opened, most of the time customers stop the mechanics to open it because the customer thinks that his bike's engine is getting opened. Even mechanics avoid opening the Engine RH cover for screen and centrifugal filter cleaning. So my point is, even if company is providing Centrifugal oil filter and screen filter, it must be easily accessible, so that it can be cleaned during every oil change. I know CBR 150R has a screen filter only but have you ever thought why CBR 250R comes with a paper type oil filter ? Also, you might have noticed Yamaha bikes like XSR 155, Byson, MT 15, R15, WR 155R come with Paper type oil filters.
Yeah good....i am 5.9" i got flat foot...but 5.6" people getting half foot only that what i commented...its bcos of the wide seat....since it got 80mm front tyre you must also need to consider your safety....
I get it bro. I rode Mt15 yesterday without seat modification. I could've managed it easily had the seat cushion been cut and its thickness reduced. But I find MT-15 a bit over priced. And if the seat cushion of xblade is altered I believe I can ride. Last year I rode R15 v1 for about 100km and had no issue in balancing the bike. Yea, if I can't put both my feet on the ground confidence is less.
