Of course You know waves don´t break off-shore... Except Cortez Banks! Off-shore big waves are just a powerful roller coast, at least for smaller boats!...
@@sullivan2339 I guess that there is a time and a place for that type of music. It just seems to my mind to not be for this video. That's the problem with associating music with videos. You can't please all of the people all of the time so no music seems a better option. Just my opinion.
That wave at 2:35 it's insanely huge, it's what I call mutant! The shape is like a piramid at first then it's growing bigger and bigger! I can't even imagine the power and energy of that wave, simply amazing! NAZARÉ it's on other level of craziness, in a good way of course. 👌😁
I have to say I was def watching the jet skis trail ahead of the wave. They’re the lifeline for those guys when shit hits the fan, and losing line of sight from the surfer has to be one of the most nerving feelings ever
OoooHooooMyyyyy Gosh !! Massive. Powerful. Thank you for sharing the footage Ben De S'a. Mother nature. Love it respect it. It a powerful unthinking force. If we challenge it we are playing by it's rules. ~ your neighbor
Would've liked to have seen Toby's full rescue (including that of his 1st jetski rescuer who got swamped with him!) Now i just gotta find that footage!!
Somebody is going to die out there one of these days for sure. Hate to be that way, but these guys are pros and this kind of thing happens like every swell it seems like.
@@nonow1353 perhaps...but it's the last thing on my mind when I view these vids. They all train so hard, even under water, hugging massive boulders, even while running; wrestling, too. Plus most have safety/lifesaving measures built into the surfwear so they can largely deal w/the gnarly wipeouts & multi-wave holddowns. Getting knocked out by their board is often a concern so they eschew ankle/boardtethers in spots like Nazare. Some--espc the island-bred lads--have head banged the coral reefs...a lot...& must now always don protective headgear. The unpredictable nature of the waves, there, however, is something to consider. Just last week, surfer Alex Bothello was being jet-skied out of harm's way & was knocked out after a wild wave crashed into them; it swamped the jetski. The driver was ok but Alex drowned & very nearly died.
OMG...as a weather nerd, the true power of that system to be able to produce those winds winds like....COMING FROM THE SHORE!!!!......is so fascinating to me

The safety crew are top notch.. Outstanding skill and bravery
Durbanboy UK thank you!
They are surfers as well...amazing
I'm no surfer, but I need to visit this place one day during wave season. Just to witness the raw power of this first hand!
you will not regreat! they call it "the best show on eart" :)
Those guys on the jet ski's need a big mention.
str1xt True!!!!!!
str1xt I’m planning to do a video focused on the jet ski drivers 👍🏻
@@AboveCreators awesome!!!
Oh wow
str1xt yes men
The wave that starts at 2:35 is unreal!
1:31, by far most Beautiful shot and sick set of waves well over any other big wave spot hands down...
Could you imagine being a sailor a few hundred years ago sailing past that shit at night, scary AF.
Of course You know waves don´t break off-shore... Except Cortez Banks! Off-shore big waves are just a powerful roller coast, at least for smaller boats!...
eggzactly. Like a nightmare come true. Something human eyes should never see.
@@MatrixWarri0r I live on the coast my friend, I'm Australian and cortez banks is the perfect example of what I meant, some scary shit right there.
Just sitting out there must be a trip. The sound would be insane. Love it. Nothing better than surfing.👍👍👍
Tom M thank you!
The world does not have a soundtrack. Is it not possible to just listen to the majestic sound of the ocean?

Nazaré is the most powerful wave i have seen in my life. Much Respect.. Locals only

That was the biggest A-frame wave I've seen. It even looked like a massive waterfall when it broke !
Look at the texture of the water flowing over.

confused current...
Must be thousands of tonnes of water in a wave like that.
