over two years ago I bought a 2011 mini cooper S clubman, real cheap $1200.00 with 63000 miles. the owner said the dealer wanted $6000.00 for a new engine and decided to sell it when I took it home on a car carrier I checked everything and found out it was two coils pack that where bad. purchased two new ones and the car is running perfect.
I bought the same car color and all with 102k miles except mine is automatic paid $900 with a bent valve i removed the engine put $1000 in parts and bmw timing tools for the job oem bmw timing chain kit, knew turbo and upgrade intercooler and replaced all gaskets, seals, filters came out great car runs 100% now
Not true. The petrol turbo engine are problematic. IF these are wrong it can be bad: I owned a 2008 JCW in 2019, 90tkm/70 t miles and serviced. 8 months later the dealer took the car back! They were not able to fix the cam issue and a local bmw expert (25 years bmw only!) could not find the issue either. was sold export later, unfixed. the psa engines all in all were better than the ones before, the manuals also.
@@Fulloctanegarage N14, was the engine code. Mine had a cam code, dealer took off the head, put in a new set of lifters, 3 times checked the timing with a standard tool and a orignin BMW tool. Than i went to the BMW guy.... I loved the engine, though it could have made more power > 5500rpm but it is not a good one.

Wow score!! 🙌
I picked up a 2010 Clubman S, in Colorado summer of 23’ for $100 guy said dealer said it needed a engine, it needed a HPFP junk yard $30.
Soo cool, I love the rear doors on these. Sadly most of the ones I see here in Scotland are all rusty now :/

You are correct, It was a horrible car and left the fleet some time ago.

We just k swapped our 09 clubman base. Turbokit as well, making roughly 400whp much more fun than stock lol
What year is it?
