Bear in mind that Dreamcatcher come from a company with only a fraction of the wealth and reach that Blackpink have. The budget for Blackpink's MVs is likely 10 or even 100x that of Dreamcatcher's. It's honestly amazing how even smaller companies with a lot fewer resources are still able to make incredibly good videos. Kpop MVs in general are an art form way beyond anything in the West right now.
You picked the perfect time to become an Insomnia because they’re releasing a new album next week! ☺️ This was the song that made me totally fall in love with Dreamcatcher.
the two dreamcatcher songs you heard so far actually have less rock elements than their older tracks since they are trying to appeal more to the mainstream by mixing in popular genres like edm for scream and raggaeton for boca. if you want a more straight up hard rock song, try endless night. deja vu is also another good song but in a totally different direction.
I’m so happy you reacted to this so quickly! The vocalist with the deep voice on the rap parts (the woof!) is Dami! She has a super unique sounding voice in the kpop scene and is hella talented. Can’t wait to see more of what you react to!!! 😊
You should react to their Tree of Language Album. It is their 1st full album. They have diverse tracks in it (Funk, Jazz, Rock, Edm, etc.) Also, dreamcatcher will be having a comeback on Jan 26. This will be the last part of this dystopia (trilogy). I hope u react to that 😊
Please react to Dreamcatcher - Break the Wall, it has 2 versions. There is a self-shot video that the girls made, and there's them performing it live as a showcase (sadly no crowd because, you know...2020). Either or both would be great.
The whole "kpop MVs don't have green screen or cgi" thing is way overstated. Most of the time they tend to do sets instead of green screen, but there are still some green screen, mostly for groups from smaller companies that don't have as big budgets for MVs, and cgi is very common. But just because they post behind the scenes stuff where people see them do the practical stuff they assume EVERYthing is practical when it's not and then go on to perpetuate the misconception that it's all real...
There are three more songs I feel is a must for Dreamcatcher. "Piri" is one of them. It's very much like "Scream" and "Boca". Two other favourites of mine that are a bit more "rock" is "Chase Me" and "Good Night". "Good Night" is the sequel to "Chase Me" like "Boca" is the sequel to "Scream". Another very loved song from Dreamcatcher is "Deja Vu". It's a little more down tempo, but a really beautiful song!
Two things for you. 1: Dreamcatcher are huge fans of Babymetal. Just thought that was a fun thing to know 2: if you like skrillex he produced two songs for a group called 4minute named “crazy” and “hate” if you interested. Thanks for watching more of our girls here!
@@OhrionReacts ikr! Just like you, I'm into heavy shit such as Lorna Shore, Infant Annihilator and all deathcore/death metal stuff, and is incredibly how they won my heart 💜
I just want to say that many kpop fans are so proud to say that their group don't use CGI, build their sets and use practical effects, but the truth is EVERY GROUP uses both CGI and practical effects depending on what is more visually fitting. Also, when they use CGI, it's EXPENSIVE CGI, like quality CGI, so they should not be ashame to say that there is CGI at all. They don't understand that renting a tiger is less expensive than making one on the computer, just saying
You could start reacting to their earlier releases/ the nightmare series: Chase me Good night Fly high You and i What Piri. The first ones have a lot more rock sound. You could also check out their b-sides and their self made mgs.
Thanks for doing more reactions to DC~ also if you like skz and DC, you're going to love Ateez (and for good reason - Ateez uses two of the same producers/composers/songwriters that Dreamcatcher does!) And yeah. Odd Eye. the 26th. Be ready (though 100% no one is going to beat our Insomnia President Ryu Sera (she's actually the former leader and member of the 2nd gen group Nine Muses) in posting a reaction) Also if you want to see more of Dreamcatcher's hairs being in sync, check out Chase Me, their debut song. (No kidding, they use their hair as a prop!)
Their mv for deja vu is honestly one of my favorites in terms of cinematography (it’s more of a rock ballad but is is so beautiful and was a collaboration with a mobile game called “king’s raid” so the sets are beautiful)
thanks for reacting to them! i recommend doing their new song next since it completes this trilogy (comes out on the 26th) and then backtracking to endless night, sahara, and break the wall! also, those "blegh" sweatshirts are so cute!
Rolling Quartz is K-Rock with K-Pop visuals. They just officially debuted (though they've been releasing content for a while now) and they're definitely harder than Dreamcatcher. Their lead singer has an incredible voice, the drummer is adorable (and awesome), and their bass looks like she will shank you. Last of all, the two guitars are a great ying/yang.
Ayy subs! With Dreamcatcher, you are in for a treat! With the diversity in their genre (b-side) and their japanese track are a different animals! Imo. Looking foward for another one, welcome to the Dreamworld 😄
If you want another video with interesting visuals, I would recommend (G)I-DLE's Oh My God. It plays with heaven/hell contrasts, plus the song has some unique transitions like Scream. Also, for more DC, definitely No More! It's basically metal (guitar solo and all) minus the screams haha. Deja Vu would be a good one too, it's one of my favorites.
If you're a metalhead, you MUST check their japanese releases, especially 'Endless Night' and 'No More' Also, new album comming in 26/01, and title tracks spoilers already sound fantastic!
Apart from Band-Maid, Dreamcatcher is my other favourite. Their other rock influence tracks to note Goodnight What Tension Sahara Break The Wall Endless Night No More

I'm also a Canadian, Hello from Eastern Ontario :>. I grew up listening to JRock and ended up in the Kpop world in the mid 2000s. -- I have a big love for Power Metal/Rock Opera (and well Rock in general) when it comes to English Language music. I'm also into Videogame music. I'm a huge Kpop fan still, and I suggest definitely investing in Dreamcatcher. My husband really enjoys them when he's forced to listen to my Kpop music in the car.. He's also a Power Metal fan, so win-win. I have to say, Korean Singers and Rappers have a quality in their voice that allows me to listen to things that were out of my comfort zone when I was a teenager, it is a genre I suggest to many rock lovers! There are some Korean bands that aren't metal but they have amazing voices and instrumental control. I suggest The Rose (their songs Red and Baby are my favourites). Also, a Soloist named Gaho sang with KAVE and covered "How You Like That". I think you'd really like the darker tone Gaho and KAVE gave the song. Sorry for the excited ramble. Welcome to Dreamcatcher, they are extremely talented and underrated.

It's not that they don't do green screens but they mix it with traditional props. Most of their MVs has nice mix of mix media and green screen which makes their MVs so creative.
Thank you for these reactions! As I mentioned on another video, you should definitely check out an underrated kpop group called *A.C.E!* - I personally recommend their song *'UNDER COVER'* for a first listen to them!
Like you I'm a metalhead but have recently got into K-POP , this is one of my favourite songs but I must urge you to check out either Cool by Weki Meki or Dream Of You by Chungha , the choreography in both is outstanding.
This is probably gonna be a long comment but I have some more info and some suggestions! I hope it’s not too overwhelming Info: - this mv is almost exclusively cgi and green screen. The only exception is the desert floor and pillars as well as the white dance room with red lighting -most of their other mv’s have fully constructed sets or were filmed in specific locations. For example, Fly High was filmed in a mansion in France -Dreamcatcher are incredibly synchronized even for a kpop group ! Ever since their debut they’ve been known for their “knife-like sharp” choreography. A RUclipsr called techie_ray did a computer based analysis on their dance and they’re one of the top 3 most synchronized girl groups there is - the rapper you keep pointing out is Dami. She never disappoints with her parts Dreamcatcher recommendations: (These don’t belong to storylines so there’s no order you have to worry about) -Deja Vu -> the genre is unique but it of course has the Dreamcatcher touch. The mv is super beautiful too -Endless Night-> A Japanese release. Definitely on the hard rock side. Drums were done by the drummer from Coldrain -Break the Wall-> Linkin Park vibes. The vocal effects on this one are pretty awesome -Silent Night -> unique and unexpected even for Dreamcatcher. A fan favourite but unfortunately it has no video accompanying it Other recommendations: Hate by 4minute -> They are a kpop group that is no longer active. This was the last song they released before disbandment and it was produced by skrillex which might interest you !
Like your reactions 🤟 BTW! If you wanna listen to THE MOST METAL a "KPOP" song that has ever been you definitely need to check out those Super Junior - Don't Don (it's from 2007 so rather old and you'll probably cringe at the clothes and hair haha, but it's one of the most legendary kpop bands and they're still top of the top in business) !!! Kim Jaejoong - Mine (he's also super popular in Japan and highly influenced by many j-rock artists as he's friends with them) Purple Rain - The King Must Die (maybe not exactly metal but definitely a nice rock ballad with great music, video and vocals!)

- this mv is almost exclusively cgi and green screen. The only exception is the desert floor and pillars as well as the white dance room with red lighting
-most of their other mv’s have fully constructed sets or were filmed in specific locations. For example, Fly High was filmed in a mansion in France
-Dreamcatcher are incredibly synchronized even for a kpop group ! Ever since their debut they’ve been known for their “knife-like sharp” choreography. A RUclipsr called techie_ray did a computer based analysis on their dance and they’re one of the top 3 most synchronized girl groups there is
- the rapper you keep pointing out is Dami. She never disappoints with her parts
Dreamcatcher recommendations:
(These don’t belong to storylines so there’s no order you have to worry about)
-Deja Vu -> the genre is unique but it of course has the Dreamcatcher touch. The mv is super beautiful too
-Endless Night-> A Japanese release. Definitely on the hard rock side. Drums were done by the drummer from Coldrain
-Break the Wall-> Linkin Park vibes. The vocal effects on this one are pretty awesome
-Silent Night -> unique and unexpected even for Dreamcatcher. A fan favourite but unfortunately it has no video accompanying it
Other recommendations:
Hate by 4minute -> They are a kpop group that is no longer active. This was the last song they released before disbandment and it was produced by skrillex which might interest you !
You had me at Skrillex haha. Thanks for the comment! Much love. Hope to see you back for more 🔥🙋♂️
Like your reactions 🤟
BTW! If you wanna listen to THE MOST METAL a "KPOP" song that has ever been you definitely need to check out those
Super Junior - Don't Don (it's from 2007 so rather old and you'll probably cringe at the clothes and hair haha, but it's one of the most legendary kpop bands and they're still top of the top in business)
!!!
Kim Jaejoong - Mine (he's also super popular in Japan and highly influenced by many j-rock artists as he's friends with them)
Purple Rain - The King Must Die (maybe not exactly metal but definitely a nice rock ballad with great music, video and vocals!)
Next : " Endless Night - Dreamcatcher "
Let's get it!
@@OhrionReacts i like your spirit!!
You have to do Deja Vu - Dreamcatcher. It might be your most favorite yet
Definitely gotta get that one 🤘🔥
you will love their song Endless Night
I can't wait!
2:35 she's on pilar
Not sure if you've done it but "chase me" and "goodnight" by dreamcatcher, in that order, are amazing.
Endless Night
Make sure to listen to other songs. Break the Wall, Sahara, etc. You'll love it.
