She is Norwegian. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of seven, blowing everyone away in the process. I think to this day the judges still can't quite believe how good she is. She can cover all the old classics because from the time she was about two, her grandmother exposed her to a lot of classic jazz and blues songs. They are older now and their voices have changed, which they are still getting used to, but that doesn't mean they can't sing anymore. Another male singer with an unusual voice is Zhou Shen, though he has english covers and the one I'm recommending doesn't even have english subtitles, what it does have is a good sample of his vocal abilities, watch "Dalabengba".

Somewhere down below someone told you about how her mother made her change the lyrics. If you go online you can find the lyrics for both versions of the song. The interesting thing about this was that Angelina rewrote the lyrics to match the arrangement that had been planned for her cover with the original lyrics. The orchestra didn't need to make any changes to accomodate Angelina's changes. At age 10 the girl is a genius.

She can cover all the old classics because from the time she was about two, her grandmother exposed her to a lot of classic jazz and blues songs. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up but that she probably wouldn't be able to because she was poor. She admired Angelina's pretty green boots and Angelina saw that the girl was barefoot and had scars on her feet, so she took off her 'favourite shoes' and gave them o the girl. The girl asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina said she wanted t for the world and spread love. The little girl said she would pray for Angelina and Angelina vowed to always sing barefoot when she performed until 'all the children had shoes.' She wrote and published a book about that encounter and became the youngest published author in Norway's history. 😎

Angelina's arrangement. The car trip to record this was a long drive. The story I heard was that as Angelina was practicing the song on the trip, her mother listening told her she didn't like the songs story and did not want her singing this song. So while driving Angelina rewrote the words. The next day she perform her rendition. You will notice that while performing Angelina refers to her notes to remember the words.
This and Rehab, she rewrote so they were more age appropriate.

To understand Angelina and how she is able to sing the way she does, I found it really helpful to go back to when she was 7 and entered Norway’s Got Talent, and won. Even then she didn’t sound like a child, and had amazing vocal techniques and made her own decisions.

Angelina was too young to sing the lyrics that Amy wrote so she wrote her own lyrics for the parts that would have been inappropriate for an 8-9 year old to seem to endorse. I wanted you to get this explanation so you would understand the changes and why they were made.
I haven't read through the over 300 comments to see if anyone else has suggested them, but if you are wanting young male singers with unbelievable talent then check out the TNT Boys cover of "Flashlight". They are older now and their voices have changed, which they are still getting used to, but that doesn't mean they can't sing anymore. Another male singer with an unusual voice is Zhou Shen, though he has english covers and the one I'm recommending doesn't even have english subtitles, what it does have is a good sample of his vocal abilities, watch "Dalabengba".

Somewhere down below someone told you about how her mother made her change the lyrics. If you go online you can find the lyrics for both versions of the song. The interesting thing about this was that Angelina rewrote the lyrics to match the arrangement that had been planned for her cover with the original lyrics. The orchestra didn't need to make any changes to accomodate Angelina's changes. At age 10 the girl is a genius.

The story I heard about the lyrics is that her Mom told ANGELina (age 10) that she had to change the lyrics and make it more appropriate for her age because the original lyrics where to adult oriented. See a biography of Angelina below, but I wanted to comment on your statement about Angelina being able to express emotion as she experiences different things growing up. What you have not been able to see yet is that Angelina has the unique ability to express intense emotion for events she has not yet experienced as a young person! This is a unique character trait of hers that I have never seen in any other young singer. You have to hear more of her repertoire to understand this. A good example may be A Million Years Ago by Adele that Angelina did when she was 12 years old. Emotion that Angelina exhibited in this song would absolutely convince anybody that she had gone through that experience, yet she had not.

Why does Angelina sing barefoot?
When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and promised she would never again wear shoes while performing until all children of the world had shoes! At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina penetrates hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. Angelina has sung barefoot, except for rehearsals, since age 6 in remembrance of an orphan girl near her age that she met on the street in the middle east.
The girl was using bathroom scales and weighing people for money. It was cold, she was barefoot, and her feet were scarred. They chatted about their dreams, and she asked Angelina what her dream was. Of course, Angelina said she wanted to be a singer, and sing for the whole world, and asked the girl about her dream. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor, but that was not possible because she had siblings to care for, and she wished Angelina luck in becoming a singing star, and she told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina, on the spot, gave her the sea green boots, her favorites, that she was wearing and told her to never give up on her dreams, called her a “princess” and that she would always remember her.
Angelina wrote in her diary that day, “…to be able to do something for another human, it was such a big thing. Hard to describe really.” Angelina, at 9, became Norway's youngest author when she wrote a book about it, "Mellom to hjerter" ("Between Two Hearts"). Angelina promised herself never to wear shoes when performing again until there were no more children around the world without shoes, clothing, or family. In her book Angelina says, “In respect for you and all children like you, and that you prayed to God, today I walk barefoot on cold floors in front of so many people and sing. This book is for you little princess. You’re like sunshine! I remember and remember you every day.”
Angelina has raised many millions of Euros and Dollars around the world performing at charity concerts since age 8. So, to this day, almost 9 years later, Angelina has always performed barefoot in public. As your wife said, Amy Winehouse had a very unique voice and style. I always loved Amy's voice, and never thought I would hear anyone that could capture that sound... until this 10 year old girl from Norway came along and just nailed it. She nails some other Amy songs as well. Many people have said they are reminded of Amy when they first hear Angelina, but she is able to take on so many different styles with her voice.
