Well done Jack and the THG team!
Well said, Mike.
Amen mr. Brady!!!
Bravo Mike well said
Oh hey queen
jip i agree
The thumbnail alone is night and day. I remember the 2016 animation going viral, and I remember Tom Lynskey’s update here on THG saying that animation was originally going to be deleted at a later date because of how preliminary it is lol.
But it was too popular to remove.
@@zyloproductions4870 definitely, it’s at like 92 million views now haha
As far as I know, the OG sinking animation is the most-viewed Titanic video on RUclips that's unrelated to the 1997 movie. That is insanely impressive.
@@N8Harris99 The whole of the UK pop is just 67M, and I've done some population counting and the whole of the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Finland put together.
Just to watch that video how crazy to have a video that 5 counties population viewed it once.
@@deathmisser85
..That's really really crazy !!! WOW !
Oh wow, I thought the 2016 version looked great, but the new animation makes it look like a 1990s video game. I really like the "greening" effect of the seawater in the interior shots of the updated version. Terrific work to everyone at THG!
i never saw a 1990s video game look that good.
@@matthewbarabas3052it’s a simile
@@santiastronomo i am so out of practice with poetry...
@@matthewbarabas3052 a simile is when you compare something using like or as, in this case for not too literal purposes :D
Agreed, it's gotten worse. Overly saturated.
It's nice to see the evolution of Titanic real time sinking videos.
It's crazy to think that this tradition is nearly a decade old.
Keep up the amazing work.
When you see the progression from 2016 to 2024, you can really appreciate the dedication and attention to detail by the developpers, really well done to all involved. Also, it turns out that this year, April 10th will be a Wednesday, Titanic left Southampton on Wednesday April 10th 1912, so that means that the sinking will indeed take place on both Sunday April 14th and Monday April 15th
Your realtime sinking animation from last year was just amazing probably the most accurate sinking animation yet.
I can't wait for this years animation
had a ton of issues and wasnt that good really, it had information we knew since 2019. Most of it is just stuff we already knew and no actual advancements into researching the ship, im not hearing anything good about the new animation from some test watchers so I wouldn't get too excited.
@@RobloxianXI could point out the worst aspects of the animation, I'm curious, I don't know all the events of sinking
We're all curious, but the 2023 animation did have a lot of issues, especially timings.
@@Wolfric_RogersI noticed the timings a lot, there were a lot of mistakes. I'll be honest, last year the only thing I liked was starting from the break forward The sea was terrible, but Jack explained that there were bugs in the water plugs. This year it seems like the water was really good.Afterwards, and what I found worst is the direction and photography, the perspectives of the video were very boring. Sometimes they spent a lot of time focused on aerial preparations or always in the same direction. Then I didn't like the big clock that appeared every now and then and that text box.In my opinion, the 2016 animation and the 2021 tom animation have the best direction and photography. The perspectives and camera movements of the last 20 minutes of the 2021 tone animation wreck are very good and are not boring.Virtually this year's animation from THG is much better than tom, But unfortunately it fails in everything else in relation to the 2021 animation of all They have already announced that there will be a new animation this year, But from what I understand, preparations and new discoveries will only change, it seems that the graph will be the same as in 2021 unfortunately...It's wait and see
i got like a whole document on all the errors sent from the historical advisor of Titanic: SOS. The animation felt rushed af
It’s amazing how in just 7 years, these guys made an improvement.
I love how for 2024 you gave the lights the reddish glow which survivor's say is what it looked liked as the sinking progressed.
the starry sky, the warm light of tantalum bulbs, the cloud of steam coming out of the safety valves.
great work guys, I would like to one day see the room in different places as the passengers saw it, but for now it's really a great job. 👏🏻🇮🇹 greetings from Italy
👏👏
Just astonishing to see how these animations have evolved and improved. Quite a journey for the whole Titanic H&G team.
YOU FIXED THE LUMPY WATER!!!!
It’s incredible seeing how far this project has come, with so much improvement over the years. My only critique of this was the water reflection on the ceiling and walls of the areas that were flooding, I think that needs some work.
Please have a small timer in the corner instead of the massive timer that comes up every minute it’s so annoying and takes away from the beautiful animation :)
Who watches Titanic instead of solar eclipse 8 April 2024??? :D
Me
After this, I'd almost forgotten.
I do.
Me
Respect to the camera man who once again went back in time to make us much better video
that was original
He really upgraded Earth's graphics
Excellent work, guys. It really shows how hard you’ve been working on making the experience as polished as it can possibly be. Also, the choice of “Londonderry Air” (aka “Danny Boy”) as the background music for the video is really appropriate.
2016 is much brighter, and I realize Titanic's lights were not that bright. 2024 is more true to the real view, but harder to see for the viewer.
2024 animations look like a painting 😢😢😢 it's amazing
Truly the TH&G team are doing their job: bringing Titanic back to life
Amazing work guys! Just absolutely captivating to watch the progress over the years :)
Wow the past 8 years have been amazing to watch and see the hard work of putting a lost ship back together. Thank you TItanic Honor and Glory and there team for working above and beyond on this.
It’s looking more and more better by the year!
Yeah by 2124 it will look even better and hopefully the game will have been released.
Great work, especially with the water. The more recent also seem to have more blue and green filtering?? having haunting effects.
Keep up with the superlative work on this magnificent virtual space creation. Remember it's not a game per-ce, but a complete history lesson! A virtual space history tour almost 100% accurate, that shall endure a long time in virtual space, educating everyone on all the finer aspects and details of R.M.S Titanic. This once mighty and yet eloquent queen of the seas. The Titanic is the world's most famous shipwreck and continues to provoke our fascination.
You've come a long way, to the point where some of the imagery actually looks photorealistic in my opinion. Quite impressive!
But could you please do away with those exploding light fixtures? Even on a sinking ship, Light bulbs don't randomly explode and send sparks flying. Especially not before they're even touching the water.
And at least in my opinion, adding such unnecessary exaggeration to an already plenty dramatic, true story is quite tasteless.
cant wait to see what the 2017-2020 animation pre final plunge was like
Well, they only included the real times they published to their channel
It would be great to have an updated TITANIC: ADVENTURE IN TIME video game (using this new rendering) when the game is released.
I remember when you first posted the 2016 1 I thought it couldn't get better than that I definitely was wrong.😅
Wow I don't think I ever appreciated just how far these animations have come. Can't believe it's been 8 years since that original.
As amazing as the animation looks now, something that I dearly missed from the 2016 version in 2023 was the band's list of songs and the real-time sounds of the morse code going out. I felt like the information and overall understanding of what was happening and when was slightly better in 2016, and I hope that 2024 can have at least some of that. Overall, excellent work, looks wonderful, and I can't wait to watch this masterpiece!
Ok I am excited for this now the day is going to slow down
really fast?
Why does the day go slower when something cool happens in that day
And meanwhile I am waiting for a GV update this month.
I was at an expo in Brussels earlier and they were using your animation. Quite nice to see
Amazing 😊❤
Absolutely stunning!
Incredible work. I am so thankful that you guys are still here working on this wonderful detailed experience.
To call this beautiful might not be quite appropriate, as it is, after all, commemorating and depicting, in extreme detail, a horrific tragedy. However, what this surely is is a master work of incredible value. I hope the premiere goes well - I’ll be there.
Haven’t heard this song played in conjunction with the titanic since Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck in the first 20th century film fox called titanic
This is sick
It’s great to see the 2024 animation will depict the many reported icebergs around the Titanic. Animations always only show the one it hit as a lone berg in a vast sea.
After 10 years I've learned to stop asking when is the game coming out. If it happens, it happens.
Amazing video as we come up to the 112th anniversary of the sinking RIP to all those souls.
wow i cant wait for the2024 full real time great job i am speechless really just keep better and better really love it keep on with this job .
God, the flooding interior of the ship just fills me with despair. I feel like a trapped rat.
It's very good! I can't wait to see the new animation!!!
i need that in project 401 and it will be like my coffie at morning. thank you
The 2016 version has its own charms. The ship looks pristine which adds to the sadness of the tragedy.
You guys have a come a long way. The animation continues to bring us to the moment of what happened on that fateful night.💙
This is going to be interesting!
Love to see the lighting effects closer to what reality would have looked like. The warm blue and green effects still give visibility but also stress how relatively dark it was with the electrical system taking a beating later in the sinking and probably being very dark in the areas with water.
When is VR support coming? VR will make this MIND BLOWING to experience!
A great change from 2016 to now...
Here's to another year...yet to come.
Love the addition of ice in the area around the ship.
Excelente trabajo. Excelente, excelente, excelente 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Sinking amination, 2016 to 2014.
RMS Titanic.
In real time.
Hit with the iceberg.
Nearly 10 years, time flies really fast...
God the colours on the 2024 edition are beautiful. It really remind's me of some of Ken Marschall's work, absolutely incredible job! Kudos to all behind the project :)
Just imagine what the animation would be like in the next few years from now. Like in 2030 for exmaple. The 2024 one would look basic in 10 years from now
2024 sky is too much. Makes it look like a postcard and not very realistic. Otherwise, outstanding job.
I’m glad they’re finally doing a good update to the model, but one question I have is with the water that is slowly coming into the ship really be that choppy I understand in areas where you’re getting a lot of flow but I don’t think it’d be that choppy and it kinda pulls you out of it, making it not be Israel, even though it’s not realI think they should’ve had it where the water wasn’t as choppy
I'm getting that sinking feeling.
Me too!
I remember watching the first one on my bus ride to school in freshman year, im now graduated, and seeing the evolution, from UE4 and demo 4, to UE5 and the new demo 401 is incredible
I didn't realize there would be so many improvements made this year. It's almost as big a leap as '16 to '23.
I honestly like more the 2023 version. The blue-ish bright atmosphere in the middle of the night is already inaccurate but at least the 2023 color palette made it look realistic, the 2024 color palette is excessively vibrant for me and the lighting looks more amateurish than the previous one. Also the color of the flooding water is excessively vibrant, in both 2023 and 2024 animations. The only improvement in the 2024 one is the smoke on the funnels, nothing else. I appreciate the visual effects of the latest one but it's not realistic, im sorry.
Next year they should redo it so that it misses the iceberg in time, thus resuming its maiden voyage to ny.
Well done guys really is an incredible thing you have re created here can't wait to see the finished product in the future
I am already excited for a 10 year anniversary in 2026
Yay, interior shots
Today and tomorrow will be the anniversary of the sinking of the titanic
Music. Irish Tune from County Derry. Great choice.
Really looking forward to Sunday night!
What did they do to the 2024 animation? It looks sweet!
Why do they not show the D Deck gangway door open and flooding
Its looking more and more better by the year!! kisses from Brazil 🇧🇷
Gosh, the 2016 version just looks so drab in comparison. How far we've come!
Not to mention rife with errors.
Looking forward to the end product. I’m 46 now so I hope to see it soon. 😅
Can you make a no comment Livestream?
Just the titanic sinking.
The only thing that is better in 2016 version is that it was 2016 lol
It's been 84 years 😭😭😭 I remember following you guys since 2014 I think.
I can't wait to see what the break-up animation will look like.
Oh wow the difference in lighting!!! Are you guys using ray tracing on the 2024 version?
this is absolutely astonishing, awesome work.
You didn't show the ship breaking into 2.
Coming from Belfast this hits home. As fate would have it we recently had a storm here and it damaged the Titanic Centres roof, meaning it may not be open for the anniversary. April is not a kind month for Titanic it seems
I love how they didn't include the 2020 theory
I just got back fro the 2016 one😂.
I like all animations but the 2024 is a lot more detailed
The graphics produced by this team have come a long way. But I still remember watching the 2016 version and being genuinely frightened (if only for a moment) when the Titanic broke in two with onboard passengers screaming...
will you upload a real sinking this year on youtube
Awe inspiring! I’m a history professor. Titanic was my path into the profession.
(also a retired army combat correspondent: FIRST I got to record history, now I teach it.
... at least, I try to...
The reception room sinking is just *speechless* ❤
I salute to the Titanic 😢
I discovered THG from that 2016 sinking animation and I was quite impressed by it back then. But to see how far it’s come since then - my hat’s off to the whole team! Well done!
Just got THG's Patreon goodies today. Amazing stuff 🤩 Thank you gentlemen. See you on the stream 🙏
amazing improvement. great job. the 2016 sequence however will always be special to me, because it made me discover this project, as well as Demo 3, with those atmospheres where everything was still a discovery. keep up the good work.
Watching my favorite ship die is a heart-wrenching experience (and don't even get me started w/ the human tragedy that came w/ it like so many other wrecks), but it is nothing short of incredible seeing the extent to how you lot recreated that night and continue to improve on it still. Next thing you know we'll have full on character models and animations for the people who were there.
Great, now I'm thinking about how much vram I'm gonna need for this.
The lighting looks fantastic! There are even refractions of the water on the ceiling/wall for the interior shots and at 3:40 it looks like one of Ken Marshall's paintings to a tee! Pardon the pun, but it's a night and day difference between this coming weekend and 8 years ago.
This is an amazing visual to see the evolution of the animation. It's always looked amazing, but this year's looks to be beautiful. Well done to everyone involved!
The solar eclipse has happened you know.
