As far as I know, the OG sinking animation is the most-viewed Titanic video on RUclips that's unrelated to the 1997 movie. That is insanely impressive.
@@N8Harris99 The whole of the UK pop is just 67M, and I've done some population counting and the whole of the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Finland put together. Just to watch that video how crazy to have a video that 5 counties population viewed it once.
Oh wow, I thought the 2016 version looked great, but the new animation makes it look like a 1990s video game. I really like the "greening" effect of the seawater in the interior shots of the updated version. Terrific work to everyone at THG!
When you see the progression from 2016 to 2024, you can really appreciate the dedication and attention to detail by the developpers, really well done to all involved. Your realtime sinking animation from last year was just amazing probably the most accurate sinking animation yet. I can't wait for this years animation
had a ton of issues and wasnt that good really, it had information we knew since 2019. Most of it is just stuff we already knew and no actual advancements into researching the ship, im not hearing anything good about the new animation from some test watchers so I wouldn't get too excited.
@@Wolfric_RogersI noticed the timings a lot, there were a lot of mistakes. I'll be honest, last year the only thing I liked was starting from the break forward The sea was terrible, but Jack explained that there were bugs in the water plugs. This year it seems like the water was really good.Afterwards, and what I found worst is the direction and photography, the perspectives of the video were very boring. Sometimes they spent a lot of time focused on aerial preparations or always in the same direction. Then I didn't like the big clock that appeared every now and then and that text box.In my opinion, the 2016 animation and the 2021 tom animation have the best direction and photography. It's nice to see the evolution of Titanic real time sinking videos. It's crazy to think that this tradition is nearly a decade old. Keep up the amazing work.
Wow the past 8 years have been amazing to watch and see the hard work of putting a lost ship back together. Thank you TItanic Honor and Glory and there team for working above and beyond on this.
Excellent work, guys. It really shows how hard you’ve been working on making the experience as polished as it can possibly be. Also, the choice of “Londonderry Air” (aka “Danny Boy”) as the background music for the video is really appropriate.
Keep up with the superlative work on this magnificent virtual space creation. Remember it's not a game per-ce, but a complete history lesson! A virtual space history tour almost 100% accurate, that shall endure a long time in virtual space, educating everyone on all the finer aspects and details of R.M.S Titanic. Love to see the lighting effects closer to what reality would have looked like. The warm blue and green effects still give visibility but also stress how relatively dark it was with the electrical system taking a beating later in the sinking and probably being very dark in the areas with water.
As amazing as the animation looks now, something that I dearly missed from the 2016 version in 2023 was the band's list of songs and the real-time sounds of the morse code going out. I felt like the information and overall understanding of what was happening and when was slightly better in 2016, and I hope that 2024 can have at least some of that. Overall, excellent work, looks wonderful, and I can't wait to watch this masterpiece!
I discovered THG from that 2016 sinking animation and I was quite impressed by it back then. But to see how far it’s come since then - my hat’s off to the whole team! Well done!
It’s great to see the 2024 animation will depict the many reported icebergs around the Titanic. Animations always only show the one it hit as a lone berg in a vast sea.
amazing improvement. great job. the 2016 sequence however will always be special to me, because it made me discover this project, as well as Demo 3, with those atmospheres where everything was still a discovery. keep up the good work.
This is an amazing visual to see the evolution of the animation. It's always looked amazing, but this year's looks to be beautiful. Well done to everyone involved!
It’s incredible seeing how far this project has come, with so much improvement over the years. My only critique of this was the water reflection on the ceiling and walls of the areas that were flooding, I think that needs some work.
The lighting looks fantastic! There are even refractions of the water on the ceiling/wall for the interior shots and at 3:40 it looks like one of Ken Marshall's paintings to a tee! Pardon the pun, but it's a night and day difference between this coming weekend and 8 years ago.
God the colours on the 2024 edition are beautiful. It really remind's me of some of Ken Marschall's work, absolutely incredible job! Kudos to all behind the project :)

Next thing you know we'll have full on character models and animations for the people who were there.
To call this beautiful might not be quite appropriate, as it is, after all, commemorating and depicting, in extreme detail, a horrific tragedy. However, what this surely is is a master work of incredible value. I hope the premiere goes well - I’ll be there.
@@JoeyMartz Animating passengers would require hiring an outside studio, which they have tried to do in the past but it is ridiculously expensive.
