Modeling of a helical gear is a little bit complicated. It's not only the modification/addition of equation of the spur gear. If I'll have time, I'll upload the modeling of a helical gear, but I think you need a solution now :) There is two quick way for your problem: 1.) Set the "prc" environment variable (see the video here: ruclips.net/p/PLZulU9H8Zkzhex2tZ-TpzP1Qxr4fwl-7B) 2.) If you have Mechatronics Concept Designer license you can reuse a helical gear pair from INSTALL DIR\MECHATRONICS\mcd_reuse_parts\Metric\gear (or reuse from Inch directory, if you need inch units). Hope this helps!
the link works if you delete the final parenthesis :( . The question was functional to the fact that I did not have the tool kit), Thanks for your fantastic availability, I will be learning from your videos ciaooooo
thank for the great tutorial. what expression I need to insert in the datasheet to get a helix spin?
Hi m lavarone,
what do you mean on "helix spin"? Would you like to create a helical gear?
CAD Tutorials yesss, please!!!
