    I think they did a great job with this boot. It's a phenomenal boot for touring that still does pretty good in the resort.

    Im thankful for the new radicals for a wide foot, finally I found a boot that fits! I have big calves and it was torture with other boots in the past

    It will be great to try out this new boot. I just returned Dynafit Hoji Free 110 back to the shop. It seemed to be a nice and solid design but very uncomfortable traversing up on the angle. It made my ankles hurt and I got some wounds after 4hours skitouring. Never had this issue before with the Scarpa boots (Spirit and Maestrale RS). On the way down it also felt weirdly stiff around the ankles. SO I hope I get my money back for the Hoji Free 110 and will be able to try something more suitable for touring.

      The volume difference is massive. The Radical pro has a lot more room than even the pro-tour. Totally different fit. Much roomier toe box, heel pocket, and ankle. Bigger than an equivalent maestrale.

    Is the top buckle adjustable? Can it be made tighter around the calf area?

    Thanks for the video! I have some trouble with the Dynafit Radical (non pro) and I thought of buying the Pro model but as I could see in the video the structure inside is similiar to the non pro model. So I would have the same problem as I have now with the non pro model :(

      Sounds like its not the boot for you :( There is a new boot out soon the Tigard, we will likely have it in in the next few weeks.

      I noticed that my bow legs are the reason why the boots do not fit for me

    Why get his name out though?
    Hoji was a great name for a boot.

    Frame binding…. Is an older marker duke considered a frame binding? Would this work in a reg marker binding also?

    • @EscapeRouteCA
      @EscapeRouteCA  2 года назад

      Yes an older maker duke is considered a frame binding. The Radical Pro boot is certified to work with tech and MNC bindings. So I would check to see if your marker binding has one of those labels.

    I’m currently in 27.5 TLT6 boots. Would I go to a 27.5 in the rad pro? I noticed the sole length in the 26.5 is the same as my 27.5 TLT6s. Seems strange.

    • @EscapeRouteCA
      @EscapeRouteCA  Год назад

      The reason for the BSL discrepancy is that the TLT6 is a non-normed sole So the heel and toe overhangs are shorter and the sole is more rockered. The TLT6 is much lower volume than the Radical overall, although their internal lengths are quite similar. The most relevant difference when choosing size is that the Radical toe box is much squarer, wider and deeper than the TLT6.

    ...103 or 104 mm last! Why soo wide? Is this how AT skiers wear their boots?

    • @jmanswat2457
      @jmanswat2457 2 года назад +2

      I believe last width coincides with ankle and calf fit. I think narrow last boots were ill-fitting for the North American market.

      all top tier boots come in a >100 mm last. spare me of your complaint for you don't know the perils wide feet people endure
