This song was originally sung by Mr. Wilfy and Mrs. Meena Rebimbus for their third
volume and was recorded at Radio Vani Studio, Mumbai. The original music was
composed by Mr. Bharath Kumar and this album was released on 26th January 1981.
This song continues to be on the top of the charts of Konkani Music.

AYA-MEST has been a standout from the stables of the legendary Wilfy Rebimbus. The same nostalgia with the youthful rendition of the young singers is refreshing. Empathy, inclusivity and reflection are all reflected in this lyrical melody. It captures the sentiments of a golden era whose glitter is reflected in today’s love story. Beginning with a young boy working for a living in a different land his escapades in his outdoor assignment. The young lover girl in all her innocence narrates the picture of the inner maternal instincts of having a child of her own. The world that we see make us question every fault line imposed by society and politics and reminds us that being true to our internal self that the good Lord made us truly highlights the essential requirements of our personal lives and brings out the best of human nature to love and share.
