Vicma Bambo Unboxing/Dolly & Monchichi Show & Tell

- Big thanks to Liz Amend for introducing me to these adorable Vicma Bambo dolls! Check out her clean up/restoration and box openings videos of her Bambo dolls here:

I couldn't find very much information on these dolls, but what I know is that they are vintage 20" dolls from the 1980's, and there were 8 in the Bambo series (see video for list of the 8). They were made in Spain by the doll company, Vicma. The darker haired one in the video is #372 - Fair. I'm not sure what the other one's ID # is since he didn't come with his original clothing or packaging.
I also think monchichi's are pretty cute too with the same open mouthed thumb sucking feature as the Bambo dolls and decided to get a couple because of Josh Crawford who has an adorable collection of them! Check out his Monchichi's here:

Hi, I have three of these dolls that I got in Spain in the late 70’s early 80’s. I have the boy you have with the golden hair, the grandpa and a boy with white blond straight hair. My 8 year old plays with them now, such cool dolls. Thanks for sharing.

What a GREAT, informative video! I just found one at a high end thrift store yesterday and I am OBSESSED with her! I got her for $50 and she is in mint condition. I had no idea there were different skin tones. I found the darker skinned doll with brown hair like your video. How exciting that she's even more rare than the other versions. Since I brought her home I haven't stopped carrying her around with me. She's so darling and squishy! Thank you for this video!!!

Bambo's face reminds me of the Ice Cream dolls I loved back during the Cabbage Patch Kid craze. They're adorable, but too big for me. I was around for the first Monchichi craze too. There was another brand of monkey at the time called Monkeynus (not sure that's how it was spelled).

Just looked those up! They do favor these Bambo dolls! I am just finding out about all these cute little treasures from back in the day. Lol I could, but I really need to stop. I've been having to make room for all these dolls but soon I won't be able to reorganize and fit them all in my workshop. 🙈
@@evergreenartdolls4460 Well, Ice Cream dolls game in itty bitty sizes too. XD Sadly, the only one I ever found in recent years was a giant, and I think I gave her away at some point.
@@Tam.I.am. yea smaller dolls are so much easier to deal with but I just couldn't resist these. Love their surprised expressions too 😯 lol.
@@evergreenartdolls4460 XD They're beautiful babies. I love their faces and their hands and feet. The reason I say they're too big for me is I have too many other big kids! lol I literally have no more spaces for large dolls. As it is here now, the biggest one is in a bag.

How cute. These remind me of a line of Peruvian dolls (also from the 80s) that are called Bonboncitos. There’s also a contemporary doll line in Mexico in this image but I cant recall them. And I also do see your Big Comfy Couch comparsion.

Hi! I think I paid around $25 for the small 1 and $50 for the big 1 but you can find them on eBay for all different prices 🙂
