We already can live-stream war. It's just so messed up that it would be a bad idea. It may be fun in games but in real-life "War is hell!" - Gen. Sherman
DiplexHeated do like a ww1 offensive like how they do in battlefield 1 like start with tanks and trench defenders and then have them change as they get further in on different maps or one big map Damn this took awhile to type
At about exactly 5:00, you totally missed the beginning of the Confederate Officer’s epic one-man attack. He dodges a cannon shell by running around his cover, the slowly moves up on the enemy Union lines. Nothing but his revolver, he survives until like 6:00 when he gets hit by an artillery shell or something
that was probably the thing that every one wants to see looking for just that perfect non historical roleplayish series with big and small battles with a story that leads to the next one and actually had tactical value and thinking. i really think that it would probably be one of the best video games ever but the sad part is that it would be one of the hardest to make and it shows how great it is even by people still asking for it after all this time i do wish it was going to be on this channel i would not even care if the factions place and ideals were different i would just hope for even a long lasting series and not just different settings battles and genre every episode maybe even naming the leaders commanders and making his own complete story building up the faction from one man to five to one hundred to a thousand even having the battles of the story time or what or the second episode of the series which has to be one of my favorite videos i have ever seen but really all i want is to see something that is a long lasting series that was made the way that diplex wants it to be without people saying they don't want there kids to be listining to this while saying what he wants to say with out every one having to be touchy and and parents saying there there kids cant watch this if there is swearing and getting caught up on anything that is said or in a video
John Titor, but the apocalypse series got massive following in comparision to his other series's didnt it? I mean they even did aa wiki! A bad incomplete wiki, but a wiki!
No there was a Union Version of Dixie where Uncle Sam was referenced. It's actually one of the earliest parody/insult songs and worth a listen on that alone. Who knew Weird Al had a relative alive in the civil war era?
I love your videos. Before my kids got older I was a lot into RTS games like this. I haven’t played an RTS game since probably 2008. Graphics really have improved and processing power is awesome.
The origin of the term Uncle Sam, though disputed, is usually associated with a businessman from Troy, New York, Samuel Wilson, known affectionately as “Uncle Sam” Wilson. The barrels of beef that he supplied the army during the War of 1812 were stamped “U.S.” to indicate government property. That identification is said to have led to the widespread use of the nickname Uncle Sam for the United States, and a resolution passed by Congress in 1961 recognized Wilson as the namesake of the national symbol.
The flags up in the trenches at 9:20 are the battle flag of the Confederacy I believe, while the ones in the back at 9:10 are the national flag of the CSA
Omg Diplex. Thank you for this video SO MUCH!!! I love when you do only infantry scenarios. I have been watching a couple months you stArted youtube. I will always likw your videos. Keep up the great work.
At 14:15 the British version of uncle sam was Lord Kitchener he was used first in propaganda and later became a general and is famous for creating the pals battalion where friends and colleagues could fight together
Its great to see a video about the civil war were the comments are people screaming its just a community talking about how cool the map was good job guy 😁😁
NevermindPlays yeah its really fun but really use mods i use red rising and robz the most and the multiplayer is really fun the mods really keep it alive
NevermindPlays You should, I have 500 hours soon under my belt, all in Editor. Red Rising mod mostly. It has such a variety of mods, that keeps it going. But do remember, even if the game itself is only 3 gigs, all the mods increase it drastically, Red Rising alone is 17,5 gigs. So if you have similar problems with space I recommend a second thought. Some mods I recommend are Red Rising, GSM, Galaxy at War and Born In the Fire America. Red Rising alone is amazing
more massive amount of troops tug of war is cool. This was epic. The defenses for the union actually ruined them since the reinforcements advanced much slower hiding behind cover instead of going up.
Here's how the name "Uncle Sam" came about diplex. The name is linked to Samuel Wilson, a meat packer from Troy, New York, who supplied barrels of beef to the United States Army during the War of 1812.Wilson (1766-1854) stamped the barrels with “U.S.” for the United States, but soldiers began referring to the grub as “Uncle Sam’s.” The local newspaper picked up on the story and Uncle Sam eventually gained widespread acceptance as the nickname for the U.S. federal government. Got a feeling the Yankees lost cause the outer walls were higher than the inner walls. meant only one row could shoot at a time and that the attackers were shooting down onto the second defensive line.
Anyone ever hear of the Stars and Stripes trilogy by Harry Harrison? It's an alternate history series where just after the Civil War began, the British become involved and attack both sides causing the Union and the Confederacy to rejoin again to fight against the invading British. I'd like to see a battle like that where it's Union and Confederates vs British.
The iconic Confederate flag that almost everyone in America knows about was actually the Virginia Battle flag used by the troops from Virginia. And since Robert E Lee was from Va and lead the Army of Virginia, one of the most famous Civil War armies, the Virginia Battle flag has become synonymous with the Confederacy when in actuality it's not.
You are right but the battle flag of the army of Northern Virginia the one Robert E Lee lead used a square version wile the army of Tennessee used the rectangle version which is known as the Southern Cross
They should make a command where you can tell everyone to advance exactly forward from where they are standing. That way you don't have to tell individual groups separately to advance so that everyone doesn't just run to the same spot.
The Union did well than the Confederates. The Union had a heroic loss while the Confederates had a Costly Victory. The Confeds took thousands of casualties.
Just a suggestion. Don't zoom, spin, or move around the map so much. Just sit and stay in one spot for a bit so we can enjoy the nuances of the battle. It's dizzying to get situated on one part to see what's happening. Then get zipped all the way across the map.
Someone whose familar with Louisiana should make a map of the Cecilia and Breaux Bridge areas as we think they were in the 1860s and we can have a battle of the skirmishes along the Bayou Teche. Or maybe recreate the historical area near Tensas and we can have those battles. I want to see Louisiana get blood soaked virtually. (Seriously this state has seen so much war.)
make a modern day version of "The Civil War" yes, i know it will spread a lot of controversy. but it will be awesome, and most people would love it, my self included. and, this is just my opinion, but i don't think the Birdseye view would be a good idea.
The two flag carriers are carrying the first confederate flag. The flag you’re thinking of is the Virginia battle flag which was the last confederate flag
Diplex, Uncle Sam wasn’t made in ww1, they were made 100 years earlier in 1813, hell the unions version of Dixie land literally says “mind you Uncle Sam”
What really ticked me off was that the Union flags were full 50 star flags but instead in real life in the civil war the union flag had 13 stars which represented the 1e colonies and at the time there weren't 50 states.
i have an idea of what you could do. try doing battle of the crater it was apart of the siege of petersburg in the civil war. dont bother finding any pictures of what it looked like though they're all inaccurate unfortunately. if u need a clear picture of the battle watch the scene from cold mountain.
Kentuckian Orthodox Theocrat Kinda late, but: the Texan flag didn't have a star in the center. Only an unofficial one that had more stars overall. So: Diplex needs to check his flagsmanship.
DiplexHeated wow umm dude i dont think this guy was being mean its a tiny bit harsh to say that sorry And your my favorite tuber you saying that makes me wanna unsub :/
Diplex are you American and if your not I think it's funny you kinda do a lot of American stuff and I am not complaining I love your vids and content I just think it's funny
Anger and irritation gives the soul a false sense of fulfillment. The people here taking it so seriously are the ones most likely to be the least happy in their lives. But we must not judge them, they may be surrounded by negative people in their lives and it's become a normality.
When technology gets to the point where war is live-streamed, you need to pursue a career in moderating it.
All war, real or fake, is moderated to some degree or another.
We already can live-stream war. It's just so messed up that it would be a bad idea. It may be fun in games but in real-life "War is hell!" - Gen. Sherman
Got another Red Rising Mod and Squad Ops video coming tomorrow!
DiplexHeated star wars mods and battle grounds please
DiplexHeated can do a us vs isis in a star wars battle please
DiplexHeated praise the dark lord

And I, still waiting for the apocalypse series, a faint hope in my heart.. but doubt in my soul.. Whatever you do, I'll love it anyway Diplex!
Anthony Borden The second apocalyptic series is diplex's own half-life 3
Derek Guerrero At this point, yep.
diplex has dropped like a 15 series from when his channel started to now
that was probably the thing that every one wants to see looking for just that perfect non historical roleplayish series with big and small battles with a story that leads to the next one and actually had tactical value and thinking. i really think that it would probably be one of the best video games ever but the sad part is that it would be one of the hardest to make and it shows how great it is even by people still asking for it after all this time i do wish it was going to be on this channel i would not even care if the factions place and ideals were different i would just hope for even a long lasting series and not just different settings battles and genre every episode maybe even naming the leaders commanders and making his own complete story building up the faction from one man to five to one hundred to a thousand even having the battles of the story time or what or the second episode of the series which has to be one of my favorite videos i have ever seen but really all i want is to see something that is a long lasting series that was made the way that diplex wants it to be without people saying they don't want there kids to be listining to this while saying what he wants to say with out every one having to be touchy and and parents saying there there kids cant watch this if there is swearing and getting caught up on anything that is said or in a video

I'm glad you enjoy my map, Diplex. Will provide more :)
Did you inspect the interior of the tents?
Eri Lyout awesome map!
Great job!
Eri Lyout what is it called in the workshop
Eri Lyout thanks
What's the map name?
that one Dixie officer was a badass
Mr. Lightning ikr
Mr. Lightning I like to think he was just drinking from a flask and yelling "Fuck it"
hahaha
Them southern officers were crazy as hell and some of the best tacticians of their time. Lol just very under supplied to meet their needs.
I'm actually inclined to learn how to make maps just so i can have one of Diplexs balls.
I'll keep it on a pedestal in my room.
No there was a Union Version of Dixie where Uncle Sam was referenced. It's actually one of the earliest parody/insult songs and worth a listen on that alone. Who knew Weird Al had a relative alive in the civil war era?
Love the civil war videos diplex, your awesome man
Tac Politics who's the good guys or the bad guys
I love your videos. Before my kids got older I was a lot into RTS games like this. I haven’t played an RTS game since probably 2008. Graphics really have improved and processing power is awesome.
Nice work of the historical time of the war, in the trench and the dead bodies lying around too.
Politics aside, this was a beautiful battle, from the colors to the carnage. Awesome stuff
I'd like to see a rework where they can't retreat ;)
out of all the civil war battles ya have done dude, this 1 is the best... SO BRUTAL an BLOODY... this 1 is like the Battle of Gettysburg...
Anyone else notice the canon ball hitting right next to the officer at 5:07?!
Uncle Fetus damn
Omg do more of these types of battles it was so EPIC thanks diplex

You're really good at making slideshows. You should make a tutorial!
Diplex: it’s alright it’s family friendly.
Shows a bleeding dead soldier
The flags up in the trenches at 9:20 are the battle flag of the Confederacy I believe, while the ones in the back at 9:10 are the national flag of the CSA
You deserve way more subscribers man keep up the good work
Omg Diplex. Thank you for this video SO MUCH!!! I love when you do only infantry scenarios. I have been watching a couple months you stArted youtube. I will always likw your videos. Keep up the great work.

Diplex makes the best mowas2 content
a whole battle from static view? Count me in on that. ^^
This game seems like fun, should i buy it?
NevermindPlays yeah its really fun but really use mods i use red rising and robz the most and the multiplayer is really fun the mods really keep it alive
multiplayer is super fun with friends, the only things I play are multiplayer, map editor, and campaign
NevermindPlays yes with mods that fix the problems.
the destroyer 7002 rippo
NevermindPlays You should, I have 500 hours soon under my belt, all in Editor. Red Rising mod mostly. It has such a variety of mods, that keeps it going. You should do a hypothetical Battle of Washington D.C. in 1865 where the British are helping the Confederate States.
Yes! I love how you do your videos! Your an amazing guy and i love what you do in your videos.
Shame that some people would tear down historical monuments and statues for not fitting the fashionable politics of the time.
4TheWinQuinn fuck antifa
People would rather hide history instead of face it head on.
4TheWinQuinn I agree, but TBH, it's just a waste of space. We have many more things that represent the same topic.......but ehhhh
It's going in a mueseum.
4TheWinQuinn It doesn't help that white-supremacists are the ones protesting against it
Haaa.... After 3 weeks of no sleep..... And now I have time to watch this!!
This was a rather Civil Tug Of War.
more massive amount of troops tug of war is cool. This was epic. The defenses for the union actually ruined them since the reinforcements advanced much slower hiding behind cover instead of going up.
urban civil war battle.

Got a feeling the Yankees lost cause the outer walls were higher than the inner walls. meant only one row could shoot at a time and that the attackers were shooting down onto the second defensive line.
HOW DOES HE MAKE HIS GAME LOOK SO GOOOOOOOD?
Anyone ever hear of the Stars and Stripes trilogy by Harry Harrison? I'd like to see a battle like that where it's Union and Confederates vs British.
Hey Diplex yet another great vid keep up the good work
I love the top-down perspective idea, have you done it yet?:)
For your static camera video, it should be a massive charge on a German position, all the soviets flooding down a hill onto the Germans below.
Let's just call this the Battle of Fredricksburgh
The iconic Confederate flag that almost everyone in America knows about was actually the Virginia Battle flag used by the troops from Virginia. And since Robert E Lee was from Va and lead the Army of Virginia, one of the most famous Civil War armies, the Virginia Battle flag has become synonymous with the Confederacy when in actuality it's not.
You are right but the battle flag of the army of Northern Virginia the one Robert E Lee lead used a square version wile the army of Tennessee used the rectangle version which is known as the Southern Cross
I like how he says the battle has back and forth action, but he complains when one side pulls back.
Love your videos keep up the good work
Woould love to see the paris commune done with this game
missed these
American civil war.........seems quite relevant at the moment
Love the trench battles
Europe: interesting, we should use this type of warfare.
Hmmm.... These Union soldiers must've been led by McClellan.
Great episode love it!
They should make a command where you can tell everyone to advance exactly forward from where they are standing. That way you don't have to tell individual groups separately to advance so that everyone doesn't just run to the same spot.
Awesome video
10:03 it’s stone in the wall Jackson and general Robert E Lee lol
The Union did well than the Confederates. The Union had a heroic loss while the Confederates had a Costly Victory. The Confeds took thousands of casualties.

Hey diplex could you consider adding a time stamp in the description for the battle start time?
Rice nB just skip into the video a bit damn it aint that hard to do
Make a massive hand to hand combat against the same teams
Someone whose familar with Louisiana should make a map of the Cecilia and Breaux Bridge areas as we think they were in the 1860s and we can have a battle of the skirmishes along the Bayou Teche. Or maybe recreate the historical area near Tensas and we can have those battles. I want to see Louisiana get blood soaked virtually. (Seriously this state has seen so much war.)

The two flag carriers are carrying the first confederate flag. The flag you’re thinking of is the Virginia battle flag which was the last confederate flag
Hey small tipp: change the map borders so the fog covers the border of the map and it doesnt look so editor-ish :)
Also you don't have to explain everything you do to improve the battle. Noone with a brain would shit on you for that.
Diplex, Uncle Sam wasn’t made in ww1, they were made 100 years earlier in 1813, hell the unions version of Dixie land literally says “mind you Uncle Sam”
You could do a continiuation battle 'cause a lot of union soldiers retreated and defend the city, just an idea.
*grabs popcorn* lets watch the potatoes get salty again for some stupid reason
Redline Music omg true
What really ticked me off was that the Union flags were full 50 star flags but instead in real life in the civil war the union flag had 13 stars which represented the 1e colonies and at the time there weren't 50 states.
Hello fellow Reeves! And no the Union flag had more than 13 stars, 35 at the end of the war if I am not mistaken.
looking forward to civil war 2
4:56 so like the game R.U.S.E? I love that game
I love your vids
Hey diplex, i would love if you could post this map with the units on the workshop or somewhere else because i would like to play them myself :)
The Union Had The High Ground So I Believe Their Defeat Was Mainly Due To The Large Amount Of Confederate
Hey good video bro :-) :-) :-)
Damn, I haven't watched diplex in a while but is his accent lighter? It sounds like it
i have an idea of what you could do. try doing battle of the crater it was apart of the siege of petersburg in the civil war. dont bother finding any pictures of what it looked like though they're all inaccurate unfortunately. if u need a clear picture of the battle watch the scene from cold mountain.
*Runs at 10fps*
''Ok we're not experiencing any lag rite nao gais''
You should do another video on the modern american civil war
Europe should have learned from the American Civil War before it decided that trench warfare was a good idea.
I hate top down view but I love diplex
The Americans got Uncle Sam from lord Kitchener the British variant
If anyone wants to listen to a good civil war song from the perspective of an irish immigrant look up the dreadful engagement by David Kincaid
I know nothing bout the civil war cause I'm Asian but this looks interesting
South Carolina was the first to leave the union
this was a good vid
Can you do more Star Wars modded battles
AT 9:13 THAT WAS NOT THE TEXAS FLAG THAT WAS THE CONFEDERATE STATES FLAG
Hahaha, google "Texas state flag civil war" and sit down :)
DiplexHeated man that fire 🔥
That is the First National Confederate the National Flag of the Confederacy from 1861-1863, it has three stripes rather than the Texan Two
Kody Langham it is a Texas flag
Kentuckian Orthodox Theocrat Kinda late, but: the Texan flag didn't have a star in the center. Only an unofficial one that had more stars overall. So: Diplex needs to check his flagsmanship.
You've prolly already gone over this... But, what kinda rig you got? Cpu, gpu, ram, motherboard, hard-drive or ssd and monitor?
Can you do a hypothetical situation like Germany made it Washington D.C. or London
>soldiers don't move up
>deletes them instead of moving them up
fucking hell
DiplexHeated wow umm dude i dont think this guy was being mean its a tiny bit harsh to say that sorry
And your my favorite tuber you saying that makes me wanna unsub :/
boi
There, I blurred out the bad word.
the comment is child friendly now
DiplexHeated Damn, so harsh. Is this how you treat your subs?
I think that lose realism when the map suddenly ends. There is no way to put some more map around the battle?
Stop saying Tug of war... I keep singing that damn Paul McCartney song.
More BITFA please!!
Diplex are you American and if your not I think it's funny you kinda do a lot of American stuff and I am not complaining I love your vids and content I just think it's funny
Jack Blanchard he's Swedish
Jack Blanchard he's Swedish
You have to be fucking with me 😂
