You got me thinking...what about pop up food stands, hair salons etc... Alot of the campgrounds we've been to have no food also, could be so nice to get some fun extensions in the kids hair or, hair cuts. Two separate ideas but, came to my mind at the same time (lol). Thanks for the video!

Seriously considering making the jump to on the road life full time as a senior. Good video, great thoughts, helpful info (especially RUclips income expectations). Looking forward to more videos.

Did you mention work campers/ host?? That’s what we have done and it’s been amazing. We love the out - doors , get a free RV site and get paid too!! I don’t care for the TEchy jobs but some people may. We are traveling missionaries and love sharing the gospel and having fun doing it. All to His Glory!!

Agree on the coffee shop comment. You tune out the world much easier at coffee shop, then with family in RV or home for that matter.

Thank you so much for your content! We are about to become full timers and we have never even RV’d before, but we feel Jesus pulling us towards this lifestyle. So y’all have been very informative. I can’t believe the amazing RV community and how they help each other. It’s what suburbia used to be 🥰

Love the money tree intro 😅 we workamp as needed and have had many cool experiences like working and amusement park, Amazon, the sugarbeet harvest, a camphost etc. I also have a successful Etsy shop with items mostly geared towards campers and travelers so that’s a lot of fun.

Funny thing..... We've (my entire team) been working remotely since Covid started in March 2020. Management decided to officially move us to a new office location that has been set up as a shared site, so basically it's enough space for about half the staff. We aren't expected to go in unless it's absolutely necessary. I broached the idea of working from the road and was immediately shot down.
The only difference would be my actual location not being a "stationary, bricks and sticks" structure.
They actually get more hours out of us this way too. No hour commute each way and no distraction like talking to coworkers across the aisle.
I've always said that we just need power and a reliable internet connection.
They just don't get it. Maybe one day, but not yet.

    • @GratefulGlamper

Oh man, that’s a bummer! Maybe they will get it someday and you said….

Thank you for making this video.
I have wondered how most of you that are on the road full time actually afford to do it. I watch several RUclipsrs regularly that are full time and you are the only one that I can think of off the top of my head that has explained in-depth several ways to make an income while traveling.
With my current profession (HVAC Tech) I have become burnt out, I also have adult children that are about to be scattered around the country and would like to still be able to spend more than just a weeks vacation with them.
Still in the research phase of acquiring an RV to make the dream a reality. These ideas are great to bring in income to afford all of the expenses that would come with a dream like this. Although I would need to reevaluate the budget to compare being in sticks and bricks vs. being on the road to get an idea of what would be needed for an income. I am guessing that being on the road would be less than living in an apartment.
Or about the same depending on costs of RV and maintenance, fuel cost, cost of campsites and anything else that comes with this different lifestyle.

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  3 года назад +2

Best wishes as you evaluate your next steps. RV life costs can be cheaper in some cases and more expensive in others. So many factors that change costs.

Thank you guys you know I have a much smaller RV than you so the organizational thing is what I was looking for. But in a few years I'm going to retire from doing surgery as a first assist and I really like the this video here that kind of helps me think of some ideas to make some extra cash after retirement while I'm traveling around but I really think that your videos are awesome thank you so much for the time you spent on these and you guys have a great great day thanks again

I tutor English online for a company called Cambly. No degree required (although I do have a BS degree). English must be a first language. I choose my own hours, no minimum number required. Lessons are already designed so no lesson prep. Can work anywhere in the world where you have fast internet because you are taking video calls from around the world.
Cambly doesn't pay as much as some other companies but I have SS income also, so it's enough. I can easily make $1,000 a month or more.

In the name of all things Holy, NEVER use Wi-Fi at a coffee shop! That is the absolute easiest way to get your laptop hacked . Unsecured (password-less) Wi-Fi is the leading route for others to access a computer.
