This is a beautiful movie. Walt's family is horrible but he becomes family with Sue and Thao. He knew he was about to pass so he sacrificed himself to put the gang away for good👍🏼
Clint has classics fr..he is and has always been one of the greatest actors and directors in cinema...from his westerns to his action thrillers...nah, he aint Denzel..he's Clint..
Walt's true confession (you were looking for), was through the screen door to Thao. Clint was a big actor when he was a young man, then had a resurgence later in life. He was 78 when he made this movie.
I love this movie. He had reasons behind his actions. Leaving his dog next door. His hair cut & shave...a fitted suit...preparing for his funeral. He was dying... So he chose to go out in a way that would help Tao & his sister (family).
A part of it may also of been to honour the guys from WW2 he knew who didn't make it home & likely died while in a terrible state. I'm 42 and on my bucket list is a tailored suit. Hope I make it.
19:02 Being a veteran myself, you have to keep in mind, war changes people, especially if they have to kill someone. My grandfather and dad served in WWII and Vietnam and it definitely changed them. In those days they didn't diagnose PTSD and there weren't a ton of support for people going through it.
You all gotta understand there's a reason why Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson and Chuck Norris were so loved. It is because they were real life Bona fight bad asses. Clint and Charles were both known to be able to really throw those hands and of course Chuck was World Champion
_Unforgiven_ and _Million Dollar Baby_ would probably land high on your Clint Eastwood list if you watched all of his stuff. _Unforgiven_ costars Morgan Freeman.
As a 55 year old man (With more than half my life gone) I think Clint (Walt) was probably in his 80's I have a feeling the coughing up blood was lung Cancer and terminal, and Walt probably did not want medical treatment Chemo/ radiation and spending the rest of his days in and out of a hospital and missed his wife. Also since he did not have a good relationship with his son and grandchildren . He took one for the Team.
It seems that a common theme in a lot of Clint Eastwood movies is that he is generally a loner who reluctantly adopts people along his journey and eventually takes care of them as if they were his family. One of the best Clint Eastwood movies-which is one doesn't use the 'loner/family' theme-that I strongly recommend is Unforgiven (1992). What I like most about that movie is the fact that unlike most westerns, none of the main characters are heroes in the traditional sense. It makes it difficult to root for anyone when you know virtually every one of them have a very dark and troubled past.
Clint Eastwood is a legend, originally from westerns then as Dirty Harry personally I think this is his greatest movie. One of the best endings ever, those guys shot an unarmed decorated War veteran who was standing on the sidewalk not their property. The judge is going to sentence them under the jail
People would get too upset in todays age for a movie like this. I still remember going to the cinema with no knowledge of where this movie would go. Good Stuff! quality movie and keeps me coming back every now and again to re watch it. Good choices for movie lines and characters without worry of people getting offended. New movies lack the confidence to tell a story without being afraid of upsetting the 1% with words and dialogue to compliment the chosen characters.
The white boy Sue was on the date with is SCOTT EASTWOOD. Clint's son. Spitting image of how Clint looked when he started acting. Clinton Eastwood is a LEGEND
You made a joke when they shook hands on the hardware store. How can you NOT see that was a TOUCHING moment when Walt showed him kindness after the kid showed appreciation for the mans kindness.
At the end of his life, the "new" Walt gets to know the family with which he would have fit in well, regardless of his position. She shows him the wrong path he was on, called racism. Two “children” he was incredibly proud of, who saw him as a friend. What a great father or grandfather the “new” Walt could have been to her. Instead of waiting in his bed for the terrible death from cancer, he sacrifices himself to free the children from the clutches of these criminals. Death according to his rules, just like a soldier's way of life. How many of this new community attend the eulogy shows how they all saw the new Walt. As an enrichment, no more than ballast. An incredible film with very good actors.
Guys absolutely loved your reaction to one of Hollywoods greatest ever, have now subscribed and will be looking out for more reactions in the future…I may even throw a few ideas your way on what to watch..all the best from the U.K.
Clint Eastwood is a huge western movie star and director from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. The Good, The Bad, the Ugly (1966) Unforgiven (1992) Million Dollar Baby( 2004) are some of Clint Eastwood's best movies that you both should check out too!
Fun fact: none of the Hmong actors are professionals. All first time actors, which Mr. Eastwood sought out to add authenticity to their community. wonderful Boss move. Walt was sick, more than likely lung cancer. His prognosis was not good. His final act was completely selfless and saved Tau and his family's lives, while alleviating his own suffering from his illness.
pretty simple concepts but as far as the language goes, the movie shows a time or how relationships come and go and that actions speak louder than words.
Clint Eastwood really was a big star for a long time. Some time catch his movie "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" from the 60s. He plays a bounty hunter in the old West.
For many of us who that had or have family that was in either World War 2 or the Korean war theay are exactly like Walt and my grandfather was like thatI'm Mexicano. So even though many people think they are racists they are not really racist they are hard on everybody. They have just been through some really really bad things and saw some horrible awful things in war.
Y’all gotta realize that Walt probably had some PTSD still that he was dealing with, his kids ain’t what he wanted them to be, his wife died, so he really isn’t giving an ish about anything at this point in his life
Walt still believes there will be justice done. These days, the gang would be out of jail in less than 24 hours. He should have done it the old fashioned way.....like he does in all of his other movies. It would solve the problem and it would stay solved.
Sue was even graped by her own cousin too... that I found the most disturbing when Sue turned up at the house and I saw the blood running down her leg Hmm 😒 🤔
This one is hard to watch, it’s just he was from a different time, and was stuck in the World War era. And saw a lot of his young buddies killed. PTSD before anyone knew what it was. Old. Wife died. And yes, grumpy as heck. Didn’t sugar coat stuff. Kids were only out for what they could get. But got to live and respect. 😊❤
Hi y'all former member of the first Calvary division 13 bravo 10 Go first team!!! We were a lot tougher back in the day then you all are today you guys let that woke crap get in your way Great reaction rock on
Why would anybody want to watch a film about a miserable us veteran with a car? yet it might be one of the greatest films ever made. And, why would anybody want to watch a black and white Christmas movie from 1946 ? It's a wonderful life, is surely in the top 3 films ever made. These 2 movies might have no interest for you, but give them both a try, you won't regret it.
When y'all gonna watch Belly? Lol... FYI the asian chick walking with the white guy before running into those 3 black guys... The white guy is Clint Eastwood's real son... when he locks the boy is in the basement and the metal screen door is between them he confesses to the boy what he has done not the the priest
A quick list of movies you should watch: A long kiss goodnight Devil in a Blue Dress Stir of Echoes The Devil's Advocate Hope Floats Boomerang Love Jones Harlem Nights Hoodlum Rosewood Possee This Christmas Almost Christmas Love and Basketball New Jack City New Jersey Drive Malcolm X Enjoy!❤
Compromising yourself for prejudice white acceptance and approval with this "they'll eventually like us" mentality was never my thing. Thats some Stockholm syndrome type shxt.
This is a beautiful movie. Walt's family is horrible but he becomes family with Sue and Thao. He knew he was about to pass so he sacrificed himself to put the gang away for good👍🏼
But also Walt knew he wasn’t the best father wasn’t close
FunFact that white boy who got punked out was Clint's real life son😂😅
It makes the scene so much funnier
The white kid in the scene with the thugs and the asian girl is Clint's real life son Scott Eastwood.
Yup😂
@superdupermacc9839 Lol I thought that was hilarious when I first found that out haha 😄
@@MKF30twins fr 😂
@@superdupermacc9839 👍🏼Right?
“The stink face” that’s Clint Eastwood for ya! Should watch “Unforgiven” with him
Right? Clint Eastwood AND Morgan Freeman? Nothing better! That movie is Amazing.
Clint has classics fr..he is and has always been one of the greatest actors and directors in cinema...from his westerns to his action thrillers...nah, he aint Denzel..he's Clint..

Huuah !

There's absolutely a message in this movie and it's obviously to do with racism and prejudice, love and redemption.
my top 3 greatest films of all time. Gran Torino 2008, it's a wonderful life 1946 and As good as it gets 1997.
How do you not know a lawnmower? Its an original. Thats what EVERYONE used in the fifties, sixties, and seventies until power lawnmowers came out.
_Unforgiven_ and _Million Dollar Baby_ would probably land high on your Clint Eastwood list if you watched all of his stuff. _Unforgiven_ costars Morgan Freeman.
Million Dollar Baby is a great one!!
Million Dollar Baby 😊
Unforgiven is amazing
Christmas is coming so you need to watch Home Alone if you never seen it. Considered the greatest Christmas movie of all time

I left the movie theatre in tears when it came out. It's the only time I shed tears for a movie.
Also ain't got.nothong to do with being black or white. I'm Mexican and Clint is just the biggest American star/legend there is
Clint Eastwood is a legend, originally from westerns then as Dirty Harry personally I think this is his greatest movie.
One of the best endings ever, those guys shot an unarmed decorated War veteran who was standing on the sidewalk not their property. The judge is going to sentence them under the jail
I’ve never heard anybody call Clint Eastwood “the white Denzel” but I don’t hate it 🤣😂🤷🏼♂️
People would get too upset in todays age for a movie like this. I still remember going to the cinema with no knowledge of where this movie would go. The doctor gave him the "bad news", that's why he did what he did.

Lmfaooo talking about "the grabber" hahaha funny as hell
Clint Eastwood is a huge western movie star and director from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. The Good, The Bad, the Ugly (1966) Unforgiven (1992) Million Dollar Baby( 2004) are some of Clint Eastwood's best movies that you both should check out too!

pretty simple concepts but as far as the language goes, the movie shows a time or how relationships come and go and that actions speak louder than words.
You hàd me crackin up when you said white guy look like he from a 2000 dance movie lol
Clint Eastwood really was a big star for a long time. Some time catch his movie "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" from the 60s. He plays a bounty hunter in the old West.
Yall GOTTA react to The Road from 2009 PLEASEEE!
Growing up in South Sacramento I saw how Vietnamese, Hmong and Filipino kids weren't like the A-grade student Chinese, Japanese and Korean kids

Mr Clint Eastwood is a national treasure 👍
Walt had terminal lung cancer so he sacrificed himself to rid Thao and his sister of the threat.
For many of us who that had or have family that was in either World War 2 or the Korean war theay are exactly like Walt and my grandfather was like thatI'm Mexicano. So even though many people think they are racists they are not really racist they are hard on everybody. The lady wasn’t blaming him, he didn’t tell anybody he went over there and did that
This movie is legendary!! I may not like his politics but his movies are fire 🔥!!!!
Clint knows how to make a movie. You hate Walt at first and end up loving him by the end. Great writing👌🏼
The outlaw josie wells
Y’all gotta realize that Walt probably had some PTSD still that he was dealing with, his kids ain’t what he wanted them to be, his wife died, so he really isn’t giving an ish about anything at this point in his life
21:08 Scott Eastwood (Clint’s Son) is the white guy he tells to get out of there too 😂😂😂
Be ready to cry your eyes out for Million Dollar Baby 😢
He pointed the finger, he pretended to have a gun, so they would think that he didn’t have a gun
In the old days when you were talking to somebody that you didn’t care for, you would spit before you talk to them as a sign of disrespect
Walt still believes there will be justice done. These days, the gang would be out of jail in less than 24 hours. He should have done it the old fashioned way.....like he does in all of his other movies. It would solve the problem and it would stay solved.
You should watch his late career movie “the Mule”. Impressive.
35:50 nah he was gonna ask him to go to the doctors with him
You guys will love Million Dollar Baby 😊
Y’all should watch Afro Samurai Resurrection next
You guys should check out "Dirty Harry." It's one of Clint Eastwood's best and he was a lot younger.

"Unforgiven" with Clint Eastwood.
He was coughing up blood. He was already dying. That's why he went over there with no gun
Since you watched this, please watch "Dirty Harry." Vintage classic Clint.
Now y’all gotta do a reaction to his movie called unforgiven
Yall should watch million dollar baby, that’s another good Clint Eastwood movie
This one is hard to watch, it’s just he was from a different time, and was stuck in the World War era. And saw a lot of his young buddies killed. PTSD before anyone knew what it was. Old. Wife died. And yes, grumpy as heck. Didn’t sugar coat stuff. Kids were only out for what they could get. But got to live and respect. 😊❤

How sad they have no idea who Clint Eastwood is. ARE YOU BOTH LIVING IN A CAVE??😡😡😡
Why did he want to die un purpose? he had cancer, he was gonna die anyway. The way he chose it freed Tao and his family from the gang.
Why would anybody want to watch a film about a miserable us veteran with a car? yet it might be one of the greatest films ever made. And, why would anybody want to watch a black and white Christmas movie from 1946 ? It's a wonderful life, is surely in the top 3 films ever made. I think this is one of Clint's best movies, and that's saying something. They don't make many movies like this anymore.
This movie is awesome. Clint Eastwood was a big thing back in the day. Here’s a fun fact: Clint Eastwood’s son Scott Eastwood is an actor as well.
It's chewing tobacco. Therefore all the spit!
He wasn’t spitting to look tough, he had tobacco in his mouth, that’s what you do with it
He's spitting because he always has chewing tobacco In his mouth cmon haha
7:22 chewing tobacco.
Compromising yourself for prejudice white acceptance and approval with this "they'll eventually like us" mentality was never my thing. Thats some Stockholm syndrome type shxt.
