You don’t need a £17,000 bike to tour Normandy. I did it last year on my sub £4,000 royal Enfield meteor. From south wales, across from Portsmouth to ouistreham and at 100 mpg. Sat nav was my phone, mounted with a quad lock. Plugged into the convenient standard USB port.
These beautiful retro bikes like these Royal Enfield are the true motorcycles for aesthetes and philosophers among motorcyclists. They are just as suitable for long tours. Slowing down isn't a problem for everyone.
In the case of late model Bullett 500s they’re also the natural choice for any home mechanics out there as QC was…well, slightly spotty. Hopefully that was the idea behind the shoot. Product looks great if a bit steep compared to the Kreiga roll I use. Totally different style and I understand why it costs like it does but I figure it’s more for someone buying their first roll rather than people who already have one. Best of luck with the sales mr Dobbs, looks very dashing.
I love that, due to the time difference between us (I’m in Tucson, Arizona), I can wake up at 6 or 7 & your video is usually ready to roll. Very relaxing way to enjoy a cup of coffee as I watch the sun come up :)
I won’t slag the price of the tool roll, you’ve figured the price point needed for your business and I respect that. Certainly out of my price range however but they do look nice.
I'm a big fan of Freddie and love his vlogs, also his enthusiasm for his products but the price of this particular product is over the top. Having said that though, most things relating to motorcycles are the same. They cater so much on the born again and middle class bikers who have vast amounts of disposable income who are willing to pay out for this stuff.
I think whatever makes your own riding experience better and puts a smile on your face and gets you to your destination safe, is fine with me, we're all different, we all like different amounts of tech and power and sttyles of bike. That for me, is what I love about biking, all things for all people to get them on two wheels and push the limits of what their bike was designed to do, or just enjoy it as is. Great video.
Ohh Freddie, Monika & Mother a fantastic launch and a classic tool roll for every classic motorcycle 👌 Great to see Danny & the beast KTM. Congratulations on the launch ⭐️
Love the time colapsing intro of the Classic with the intention of a rough direction guess at the cabin, waiting for the updates getting loss. This is why I like your honest vlogs. Ride safe mate
Like a lot your videos. They are always entertaining and relaxed. That cabin is lovely. I live in Spain, visited my son that was working in England and liked a lot your countyside. I like a lot RE bikes, tried almost all of them and I can say that they have soul. I currently own two Japanese bikes that are fantastic but I do not discard add in the future a Royal Enfield to my stable. Keep releasing videos, amigo, they are unique.
Beautiful countryside. Beautiful music 🎶 Great to see Danny again 👏 The KTM is simply a engineering Masterpiece 👏 Loved the Royal Enfield. Danny really is a bike Guru and wonderful to have Monika behind the camera again. Wonderful video.
Hey Freddie and Monica - thought you had missed a trick not kick starting the RE, but then, BOOM! Great way to finish and shows off well how to carry the tool roll on the bike. All the best.
🇺🇸 Yet another absolutely awesome video Freddie!! Outstanding relaxing entertainment, and my Wife and I enjoy your content more and more every new episode. I truly adore the modern day Royal Enfield’s superb performance and build quality, but unfortunately they don’t make a DCT version being that I can no longer use a gear shift lever! However, I am totally addicted to my ‘22 Honda CMX1100 DCT! Thank you again Freddie! 👏 👍
Gotta say Freddie I love most of yours and Monika’s videos you’re enthusiasm to life is amazing, but £93 for a small tool roll is a bit much compared to other top brands made from leather
Bought a wax cotton one. Whilst more than I’d normally spend on something like this I recognise the quality and generally want to support this great little uk enterprise. Design looks perfect for my bonneville. Best of wishes and hope it is the first of many nifty little products.
Love the Tool Roll, These days you are not expected to have to use tools on a new motorcycle so no longer get a set of spanners in a plastic bag under the seat, I guess today's bikes are less likely to break down, however, it would be nice to have a few basic tools when you purchase a new motorcycle, handy even just to carry an adjustable etc to adjust the chain and charge or replace the battery, hopefully it provides a nice income for Monika and whoever else is involved, Great innovation towards safe motorcycling.
Two bikes on opposite ends of the motorcycle spectrum , and both confirming my preferences lie very much in the centre of that spectrum ! ... great video as always.👍
My brother and I are HUGE Saab fans and I've had 8 different Saab 900 classics - my brother's had even more. At one point he had a 19'78 90 GLE with the 1.85 Triumph engine - very neat car! They are some of the most underrated cars, especially the performance and configurations of the turbo models! I love Saabs like Freddie loves the old Discovery Land Rovers and I totally get it! Awesome video @FreddieDobbs!!!
My order has been placed for the tool roll! I went for the ‘limited edition’ waxed cotton version. It’s a lovely looking piece of kit and it looks like it should outlast me. 😊 Looking forward to taking it on my travels.
Ahhh he's great on screen isn't he (Danny)!!! You should honestly do more bike stuff or a tour with him. Great vid Fred, best of luck with the Tool rolls.
All you need is heated gloves/jacket. Then you have heat for any bike. Gloves heat outside of the hand which is what you want. I use Gerbing XRL gloves connected to bike's battery. They are fantastic! 👍
I am fortunate I had a big Sport Tourer Triumph Trophy SE a T120 Bonneville and an Aprilia Mana 850. I’m thinking of adding a mid size ADV bike. Having a big motor on a bike for touring is great. Just makes the day effortless and not getting blown around on the US highways.
that classic 500 is absolutely stunning. might i add, the gear you’re wearing somewhat matches the bike :) your joy about the 500 is infectious. excited to see the new 500 RE will release in the future ?
Going car like isn't a real selling point to me but Danny seems very happy with it. I guess it is a great tool for longer rides. Some my memorable rides were on basic motorcycles without the aid of technology. However, the hitting the easy button may not be as memorable but the increased number of rides on technology advanced bikes may add up to the old school rides.
I have a TA and a Multi, I think the comparison is very fair. spot on about the luggage set up on the KTM I run the same on the Multi and TA. One big thing on the TA it feel much lighter and more movable this makes it a much easier got to daily rider, but long long distance touring, especially 2 up then the bigger bike make more sense.
Looks like your gonna be back on your bonneville in no time, watched the premiere today on it. Another great video freddy. Also how the hell does Danny have 92 misssed calls, that’s unbelievable lol
Freddie get yourself Peak design mount (plus phone case) i love mine in seconds between my GS and my Mountain bike. Also just loaded the Riding app your mate mentioned- game changer; just did an hours ride on roads in Surrey I’ve been looking for but didnt know it! Thanks so much.
Fantastic video once more, thank you Freddy and Co. Here in Denmark, riding season begins this friday (closed for 3 months due to snow), cannot wait to bring out my new Triumph 900. Could I trouble you for the name and model of the tablet that Danny uses on his KTM please ? Regards Carsten

There is no comparaison between the Transalp and the KTM 1290. KTM’s bad reliability is much more of a urban legend than a reality. I love the toolrolls. But im in the U.S and the only biker that would spin that are hipsters that are used to spending $15 on a cup of coffee. Sorry but here in America working class would never spend money on it. But we have alot of rich hipsters here thou😂
