  • Today, I'm looking at a Fender Special Edition Custom Tele FMT HH - an absolutely beautiful guitar! The Seymore Duncan humbuckers sound clear, have great tones, and are amazing! This is definitely one of my favorite guitars that I've ever laid my hands on. Simply incredible. Specs from the website below.

    I found a used one a few years back. Blue with black back and hardware. It was made in Korea, it had Fender pickups which I swapped out for Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbuckers. The guitar went from pretty good to awesome with that swap. It's lightweight, stays in tune, plays great, and looks fantastic.

      Same here. I think it's a 2005, MIK. The Fender pups were very "tubby", so I swapped in SD59s in both neck and bridge. Absolutely my favorite electric guitar.

    I bought one for about $350.00 somewhere around 2008 to 2010 from musicians friend. Had coil split. Sold it for about that only 3 years later because I had to move back to another state. perfect guitar. It is worth twice what i paid for it but that is the way it is sometimes. What can you do but try not to be upset about it.

    Nice guitar man! I bet it's sweet but I'll put my Musi Fusion Tele up against that fender tone for tone spec for spec any day. And I bet mine is a fraction of the price hahaha!
    Seriously though, fenders are great, I just don't see the dollar value when I add everything up 🤔
    Great job on that thing! And nice riffing!

    • @TonJager
      @TonJager  11 дней назад

      Thank you, J-Man! In this case, I believe the guitar helped greatly in the riff department! 😂 And I believe you about the Musi! The FMT looked great, but the secret sauce was in the Seymore Duncan pups. You don't need to buy a Fender to get those! Or something cheaper that's pretty close. I love the variety of options these days! Cheers, my friend!

      @TheChicagoTodd Thanks for your comment! I do love that flamed maple top! And it is a great guitar, no question. However, I'm not nearly a good enough player to justify paying that much - for any guitar. I think an often asked question is, are people paying that price because of the components/materials included, or because it says Fender on the headstock? Could you get a similar quality guitar for less money? It seems there is a growing number of people who believe so. Cheers!
