No we don’t expect the librarian and lunch lady to be packing heat. But there is no reason the pe teachers and the principal can’t be. Or any other qualified and properly trained personnel.
0:35 That's not the anti-Christian "Gotcha!" they think it is. Of course we believe in satan, the Bible says he's the god of this world, roaming about like a lion and seeking to whom he can destroy. He's called the enemy who only seeks to kill, steal and destroy while Christ gives us eternal life. So yes, we believe in him because he's real and he's the reason this world sucks! The Adam and Eve wasn't the gotcha they thought either. God didn't cancel them, if He did, we wouldn't be here. That was a consequence to their actions being kicked out of the garden; He warned them to leave the fruit alone.
It's a gotcha because some knot head Christian decided to imply that believing in Satan was a bad thing. Perhaps they intended on addressing worshipping Satan, but they were to sloppy to say that. And it's a bit moot since people don't worship a Satan they don't believe in. The primary reason it is amusing is because so many Christians, can't seem to wrap their head around folks not worshipping Satan, despite being a member of an organization with Satan in the name. I suspect the primary reason they have Satan in the name, is to get exactly that sort of knee jerk reaction from some Christians that don't know better. And you are correct, it is not inherently an anti Christian gotcha. More like a gotcha to a subset of less knowledgeable Christians. As to Adam and Eve, God literally said that they would die on that day if they did what they actually did. didn't actually do that killing, but then cursed them and all their decedents for all time, also throwing the rest of creation under the bus for good measure. How extreme do the consequences need to be to be considered "canceled" exactly? I wasn't aware that being canceled, inherently involved getting killed. I thought cancel culture was more typically about less bloody things, like deplatforming, censorship, or perhaps getting a person fired. If you want a more explicit and murderous cancel in Genesis, just move forward a few pages and read the flood story. Or the Midianite genocide, or Sodom and Gomorrah... Do I need to go on? The punishments God meted out in the old testament were frequent and bloody. So, it is a bit curious when conservative Christians bemoan cancel culture. Despite the bible being full of the stuff.
quick question. The Christian Bible says that "Free Will" was given to humans, implying that the angels did not have it, so then, how did Lucifer "rebel"????
@@dissodatore Satan has always been a problem for biblical free will. But then if angels have no free will, of what purpose are they to an omnipotent God?
Masks are like cheap bullet proof vests - they stop most things getting through, but not everything. So if a mask is 90% effective then the person wearing it is 90% safe from an unmasked person. If you both wear one then you can add the effectiveness together (10% chance Vs 10% of 10%. Which reduces the risk to 1%. Which odds do you fancy for your elderly grandmother, or any chemotherapy patient that happens to be going about their business without asking your permission?).
@ voiceofraisin241 If two undressed men are talking face to face & one of the men peas (yes I know that’s misspelled) then they both get wet. If the man who is not peaing is wearing pants they both still get wet but the guy wearing pants doesn’t get as wet. If they are both wearing pants only the guy peaing will get wet. Also, according to your non-logic it shouldn’t matter if people drive intoxicated because sober people are wearing their seatbelts & driving cars with airbags. I mean, why would you care if a drunk plowed into your car at 60 mph, your seatbelt & airbags work don’t they?
To the smart elic with about the guns. If each worker had a 8mm they WOULDN'T have to roam the school looking for the shooter. As soon as someone made, for lack of a better word, Visual of him, they could shoot him. So many teachers have died because they saw the shooter befire he saw them and tried to rush him barehanded, where if that same teacher had a gun, they could have shot him before bwing noticed more then likely. Part kf the strategy of police is that they have to worry about how they move so they don't accendently hurt/kill a innocent, of cause a huge hostage situation like has happened in the past from them rushing the scene. One case the man killed the adult and one by one molested and killed the little girls one by one. The police didn't know that of course because he said he wasn't, but would if they tried. Or something like that. If it's the case I think they are talking about............one of those officers own wife and daughter were in their and was killed by the gunman. So you know there was a reason why they didn't rush in because he would have been first. A lot of the officers' families were in that school. I'm not judging, because we don't know the reason why they did that.
The problem is what if the teacher who’s allowed to carry a gun now threatens students or even is the one who ends up being the school shooter. And how many parents are going to want to send their children to schools where any teacher can have a gun? There’s no good solution, if anything it would have to be up to schools and people in that community deciding if they felt the risk outweighs the POTENTIAL benefits. There are so many more things that could go wrong with saying teachers could have a gun. What if students get ahold of a teachers gun somehow? You can say they should know better, but we all know how people are. There’s no guarantee of safety, typically adding more guns doesn’t solve a gun problem. And just to say this as well, I have nothing against people having guns/carrying them, I’m just being realistic and considering how people would actually feel about that. They’d probably have to be professionally trained to actually have the responsibility and gun discipline to be realistically considered for something like this, I don’t see how it wouldn’t just backfire otherwise. And we certainly don’t need kids feeling like they have to be scared of teachers in school.
