As someone who owns an AKM I would like that a lot.
Now I want the American "Thumper". The Abrams prototype that had a full meter of kinetic protection on the turret cheeks, an autoloaded 140mm gun that produced double the kinetic energy on target of the 120mm gun it currently has, and 64 grenade launchers.
Yes, you read that right. 64 smoke grenades. 6 4. 16 on each corner of the turret. Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right.
We can’t even get your historic rounds. Even if we got the Thumper it would be disappointing because gaijin would nerf it and make it 11.7 for no reason.

Thumper did not have a full meter of kinetic protection on the turret. What you’re referring to is the CATTB. Both the Thumper and CATTB are different vehicles. Thumper was the demonstrator for the ATACS which is the 140mm XM291 while the CATTB is a technology test bed. Thumpers frontal protection would be similar to a M1A1 with thicker side composites while lacking a blowout panel.
IRL 152mm cannon have around 1m of penetration. Same cannon was on Object 195.

@@Luisasophie163 it’s not that doubtful. Modern guns and rounds can produce that amount of pen with smaller projectiles, with more modern designs, higher velocities, better materials, and more. This absolutely could produce close to a meter of pen.
@@Luisasophie163 Actually, the Object 292 really does have like the HIGHEST pen ever recorded I believe, only challenged by the American M103. This thing was made to be as stupid as possible. The fact that it can ever non pen in any circumstance, even at like 2 kilometers out is unrealistic. It's one of those tanks where they legitimately made it worse than it is irl for balance, rather than the other way around.
I must admit, watching your videos and how you position your tanks in your videos has made me a lot better at the game

Honestly I bring the 292 to 11.7 in my top teir line because I don't think it's fair having that much power and armor having the chance to fight 9.0 vehicles. I feel like it'd do just fine at 10.7-11.0
Armor? This is my first top tier tank and I may just be a retard but I never survive a dart with this, the ones I do survive often result to either a barrel or breach being fucked. Also the reload is the one that balances it out for me, I don't often survive short range encounter where I whiff my shot
Hence why I use this as a HE slinger not an MBT

Gaijin Fixed The LOSAT
Few little fun fact's about the Object 292 I've read while researching more about it's history. Most people probably know this at this point that the hull of this tank is from a T-80BV, but less not so many know that the in game engine it uses is from the T-80B which makes 1100HP which is incorrect because the engine that was used on this prototype and which would later would be used on this tank in general (if it would go in the production stage) was an modified variant of this engine which produced 1250HP, another fun fact is that the turett could be very easily taken out from the hull and changed with the normal T-80's one and the last one I can think of right now is that the APFSDS round which we have in game have less pen that what it's supposed to have IRL (in some documents from the testings it's said that the pen that they were able to achive was around ~1000mm), the gun itself was also not very survivable because it was estimated that it could shot around 80 times and then the barrel would have to be swapped with a new one (for context a normal 125mm barrel have estimated lifespan of around ~240 shots)
Every apfsds shell in the game has less pen than irl gaijij uses the same equation to calculate all the apfsd so all the apfsds in game are nerfed
292 is sooo op I die every round 20 times against it and have no chance to win against it with the 2a4

wasn't the IPM1 moved to 11.0 when it was at 10.3 (before the 5sec reload for an ACED crew) because it had a high pen round for the BR and armor like the 292? except the IPM1 has a worse round

So, it's a tank that was nuts to grind for, will be very expensive in the store, and will be the meta tank for quite a while since it is pretty OP. Pushing FTP or anyone who is not a no-lifer out of the game.
where's the op JS-7 and objêkt-279? I don't need your lecture. I need evidence. Players of random battles "vote" with their line ups they take with them to a battle. I didn't see those behemoths for this patch abd despite being an active player I've seen inly twice 279 in the former major update.

Yes that should be at 10.7 because that thing can pen leo 2a7v hull at the front so it is quite too powerfull, but easy to kill (if there is no russian bias)

Gaijin Abrams doesn’t need the m829a3 makes no difference! Even tho that’s the round or higher that sep uses, then proceed to give Russia a 700 pen round at 10.0 on a t80 chassis. Abrams that are already by gaijin definition light tanks got even lighter. You only have enough armor to produce good spall, US engineers never thought or tested Russian rounds on their tanks. But hey the list and the trends keeps on going. Russia falls below 50% win rate here you go OP tank for motherland. US still at 32% with a round that half the time doesn’t produce any spall, you have to shot everything 3 times and most time gets you kill.. Cus everyone wanted and ask for spall liners on already broken tanks.
I think, compared to the leo 2a4, the survivability is a bit worse. The main reason is the gun depression and like you said, its just a T-80 with a big gun and the leo has a lot more things going for it. The main reason I think people might play it in the long run is the HE at 10.0, its a big round

its disgusting how much this tank survives, reinforced breech armor (247mm thick so no autocannon pen) absolutely eats 105 darts, side eats them, driver viewport bounces them and makes them dissapear somehow, barrel also absolutely loves to bounce the darts, and again the breech also sometimes completely eats them

it eats dm23 like nothing. shot loads of times straight in to the driver compartment and nothing. even block dm33 quite abit

HE is much easier to use. APFSDS often overpenetrates with very little spalling

As overkill as this gun is, its probably less effective than a t80b 125 just bcz it reloads in 6.5 sec and not 10. 3bm42 (the round most soviet MBTs at and around 10.0 have) can already pen 2a4s in the turret, hardly anything bar the IP M1 and M1 HC can actually tank it up to and including 11.3. To add to that, it doesn't do that much more spall than the 125 and it's still susceptible to volumetric and well angled armor shinenigans. The full strength of the shell only comes into play at top tier with it being able to pen the 2a7V and strv 122+ (just barely with the 122, post pen damage is minimal) in the hull at close range.
From a performance pov, id rather play a t80b honestly, much faster reload, gets ERA (with ~650 heat pen u can reliability go thru 292 btw, it doesn't even need to be tandem), gets hunter-killer (292 doesn't as far as im aware), a coax 7.62 + roof mounted .50, gets thermals and better turret and gun traverse speeds. 292 gets the haha funny meme gun with HE that goes pew pew and blows the socks off anyone in it's path but it's not as competitive as a turms imo
Sidenote, since 292 is based on the late production t80bv model, it gets the t80u hull armor which is almost immune to 120 Dm23 and M833 but M900 will zip right thru. Weakspots still very much apply tho

The best balance would be to sell turms/2S38 with a discount to dilute experienced Soviet corp.
If my memory is correct a T80 it does not have pivot gear
It would make sense. Something like that would add weight and make the transmission bigger so it's probably not needed if the whole idea is for the tank to be smaller anyway

A little over a month ago I noticed that with my Leo 2 as well, it just keeps burning like for some reason. It never used to do that before
Yeah, it didn't burn like that previously. And also the turret ammo rack just bursts into flames when the engine catches fire.

aThe problem is that it has HE which can kill no promlem if u see the big toe of the enemy and second it hase good armor ... At 10.0 the Ru are to strong Su25k, 2s38, bmp2m ... and now that ... and for all of the u dont need to grind ...

I will state that the OBJ 292 and the OBJ 477 Molot have the same gun but in world of tanks they don’t have 650mm of pen they have 954mm of pen.

The concussive effect should be enough to knock out the crew or severely damage internal systems, so yes I think so too. And to be fair to the game, HE shells do actually work sort of well when they hit the right spot.

It doesn’t get thermal, era, gun depression nor reload time. Even the stabilizer is no use for a gun this big. All this is is just gun and firepower

Leopard 2a4 and Abrams has dogcrap armor. Can't say if thats realistic but its gaijin. And Chally 2s are pretty poorly armoured considering how heavy and how much of it they have
They're artificially nerfed for balancing. Ammunition and armour aren't what they should be historically.

The first leopard 1 is ultra mid, idk about the leopard 1s after as I skipped 9.0-9.3 as my friends advised me as they see loads of uptiers but I wouldn't call them OP looking at them. Maybe if they didn't see the up tiers
The Dart cannot pen ERA, and I keep bouncing or nonpenning frontal Leopards.
I usually aim for the lower hull or the gunner sight and the dart seems to do just fine.
U can't non pen leopards it's a guaranteed pen

I think the issue with a tank like this is that it is just unplaceable. It works the same in almost all high brs, gun kills everything, it gets killed by most things, its works the same way in any br with FSDS

It’s not a bad tank. They’ve nerfed the round. It ricochet’s more then it should… It needs thermals @ 10br. Because it faces more uptiers then down tiers. If there is actually down tiers? And being an event vehicle it should have a premium….
I'll explain the downtier with an example.
You have a Leopard 1A5 (9.3 at RB)
You join in a match with the max BR 9.3 > You got a downtier. You will only face enemies the same BR or lower than you.
Uptier is when you face a higher br.

Hm yeaht he T series is not as bad as people think. It get´s a lot of laughs, for example because of their lackluster performance in Ukraine. And that is fair. But T-72 are really outdated it is just fair that such an old tank´s performance isn´t all that good on a modern battlefield. T-80s and T-90s performance is at least in my opinion also lackluster, because they were used in battlefield wich were not optimal for tanks in the first place. And it should be noted that they were never used like they were really intended, as part of a giant tank army followed by thousands of mechanized infantry and artillery. I have no idea whether the Soviet invasion plans would have worked. That the west won the cold war was not, because of their tanks. As you said, their design has pros, but also a lot of flaws. Flaws who showed how less the Soviet Union cared about their men. I would always choose to be part of the western plan.
