    3 cups - Glutinous rice flour
    3/4 cup - All-purpose flour
    1 3/4 cup - Water
    1 tbsp - Salt (optional)
    Oil for frying

    I tried this recipe with cheese inside. It’s so good and yes it doesn’t flatten once out of the hot oil. I did it yesterday and today for merienda. I used 1 cup glutinous rice flour just enough for us to consume. I just adjusted all other ingredients based on the 1 cup GRF.
    So that’s
    1 cup glutinous rice flour
    1/4 cup APF
    1/3 + 1/4 cup water
    A pinch of salt

    next time chef.. sa mixture ng flour and rice flour add a little niyog... omg sarap and half half ng gata and water is much much better...

    Hi Simpol chef and community, I’d love to make this but have a few questions 1) how far do you poke the untried dough balls? 2) what is “washed” sugar called in the US? 3) is the technique of putting sugar on the frying balls from a certain region? (As I’ve never seen that technique) 4) can I substitute the water for coconut milk for added flavor? Thx 🙏

    Don't need to stay with just caramelized sugar...after cooking these Carioca you can drizzle melted milk chocolate, strawberry jam, cream cheese icing...etc.

    My God! Salamat po.. ganyan pala lutuin yan ang mahal dto yong 3 piraso $3.50 grabe nmn mahal ang tinda nila.
    Magluto na lng ako at bibintahan ko yong store na yon ng $2.00😂😂😂

    Wag m isama ung sugar sa frying. Set ka seprate pan to caramelized the sugar. Then once fried na ang carioca. Just slighly and quickly dip and out lng ung carioca. Pra mas presentable.
