Memphis is a distribution center that is why the roads/street are horrible. Lots of truck traffic. We can't fix the pavement quicker than rigs can tear them up.
This was my last run at Indian River. Such a shame. I absolutely loved the job, but the miles were not there. I asked repeatedly to run, but it fell on deaf ears. I don't understand it at all. That customer is no joke! It's tight! Lol
Last company i was with you got peopenet messages warning you that you cannot park or do a 10 in memphis go to west arkansas or elsewhere due to freight theft+driver stickups 🤠too many cowboys... can u do 10s at the washout facilities?
Bad when there not full all the way u will take a beating in city driving light and up and down hill take alot to get use to but it getting better just have learn and expect the surge to hit it been the one's u not expecting that get u
Just speaking from experience... if you get the wrong DOT officer your in for some hefty citations for the amount of "impeding your visibility" through your windshield
Still waiting for the recruiter to call me back. They said they would call me back and still nothing. I wanted to try indian river, but they don't seem to care about recruiting drivers it seems.
Good morning. You do not sit at Indian River Transport unless you are on your 10 hr or a 34 hr break. On average, everyone drives at least 40 percent deadhead miles, and the rest are loaded miles. Just 3 weeks ago, I had deadheaded 3,000 miles from Bensalem, Pennsylvania, to Tulane, California

Good morning. Yes, you are able to do a 10 hr break, or sometimes you have a 34-hour break at the tank washes.
Hows the surge on those tankers?

Hiring freeze right now, No trucks available
If you do eventually get hired, don't be surprised if you end up sitting around a lot. Trucks are nice, though. Lol

As of now, there is no hiring freeze. Our recruiting department has a lot of applications that they have to check out. Keep calling.
