    No film has ever been more successful than 8 1/2 to described so creatively well the line between reality and imgination; where the true life is.

    Fellini is the best! Watching his movies is like to take a journey into a a great poet's mind

    I like this scene, all of the people in his life there to participate in his circus. The filmmaker puts his/her own world on display with every work of art he/she produces.

    Quando sono partiti i titoli di coda sulle note del Grande Nino Rota, non sono riuscito a trattenere le lacrime. "Se la vita è quella cosa che accade quando ci occupiamo d'altro "; Fellini ha raggiunto il risultato perfetto mostrandoci come il processo creativo e la vita sono tutt'uno dinanzi al Tempo oggettivo dello scorrere del Tempo. Proprio per questo lo considero il film più "realistico" della storia del Cinema.

    I have the impression that the images are actually not taken from the movie, but shot on purpose for the trailer. For example I don't remember Mastroianni having a whip in the final scene (but he does in the harem scene). Am I mistaken?

    • @raulqa
      @raulqa  3 года назад +2

      That is exactly what happened. He changed his mind about the ending, which was on a train car, and used material for the trailer to make the ending, but they are not the same shots.

    • @jean-francoisbrunet2031
      @jean-francoisbrunet2031 3 года назад +3

      @@raulqa So it is even more extravagant than I thought, in the sense of more luxurious. I thought the last scene was shot, so to speak, in excess, to provide material for the trailer; but it is the other way round, and the trailer was actually conceived from the start as a separate little movie! Is there any other example in film history?

      You’re right, but it’s even more complicated than this. You can see here in two short frames the actress Claudia Cardinale. But you won’t see her in the actual final scene of the movie. And you know why? Because she was busy with another masterpiece that have been filmed in the same period (Il Gattopardo by Luchino Visconti).

    la scena finale pensata da FF in ORIGINE era molto diversa, e piu' lugubre
    si concludeva sulla carrozza di un treno, con tutti i personaggi muti
    treno che andava nella notte con destinazione incognita
