The issue is that the problem is a LEGAL problem, not a jury problem. But the judge has already decided the legality, (before this even begain) so you know its going to the jury. Thats what they want. The issue is that they are connecting two unconnected things. If the NDA was in furtherance of an election manipulation, then NDA's are not illegal. For the NY law to "influence" an election it has to be of ILLEGAL MEANS. AKA, the NDA has to be illegal. Not the reporting of the NDA for tax purposes. So the first crime isnt actually done, so the 2nd is irrelevant to the first.
