The dimensions of the dorm room and the furniture are towards the end of the video and listed below. 🔴 The University of Florida Dorm Tour
🔴 This is Graham Complex, which is made up of Graham, Trusler & Simpson Dorm Halls
🔴 Move in Day Traditional Style Dorm
🔴 Beds come slightly elevated, but they can be raised or lowered
🔴 Each student gets a bed, closet, desk, and desk drawers
🔴 During COVID, families of students can only help move in & set up during the 2 Hour move in window
🔴 95% of the Dorms have large service elevators for move in day, but after that, you have to take the stairs
🔴 But on the UP side, the stairs will keep you in shape
🔴 For additional security a FOB is required to enter each dorm
🔴 And then a key for the room
🔴 Lofting your bed is an option to gain more space
🔴 Note: This is the newer model bed frame, which you can fully loft, not all rooms have this same frame
🔴 Which can provide more room for a love seat, sofa, or a desk
🔴 The loveseat shown in the video is from IKEA and its called the KLIPPAN loveseat
🔴 Each dorm room has WiFi & 2 Ethernet wall ports
🔴 But students cannot install their own router or their printer onto the UF Network
🔴 So you’ll have to bring a cable to connect your laptop to your printer
🔴 Each student is permitted to have a refrigerator and microwave in their room
🔴 This is the average size of a 2 person traditional dorm at UF
🔴 Traditional style dorms have community bathrooms
🔴 Graham, Trusler & Simpson Dorms have 2 showers, 4 sinks & 3 bathroom stalls per floor
🔴 Each floor has its own lounge & kitchen with microwave

We made this video for students and parents interested in the University of Florida (UF) to make it easier to get a feel for what the UF Dorms are like and how close Graham Complex is to the rest of campus. Graham complex is comprised of 3 dorms and a center hub which offers a small store and a location to pick up mail. The dorm halls are Trusler, Simpson and Graham Halls. These are traditional style so they have community bathrooms. The things I like about the community living is it should offer more opportunities to make friends your freshman year.

Note: Thr graham. Complex dorms actually have twice as many showers, sinks, stalls as I put in the video. There are actually 2 separate bathrooms per floor and each bathroom has the following: 2 showers, 4 sinks, 3 bathroom stalls. I just wanted to update this video to make sure it’s 100% accurate for those students trying to decide which dorm they should pick. Good luck!

Great informative video! Do you which specific dorm you showed in this video... Graham, Simpson, Trusler? Just trying to determine if all beds in these dorms are lofted. Looking specifically for Graham info. Thanks for any insight!
Hi, that was Simpson Dorm on the top (4th) Floor. They have the new lofted beds that you can put a couch / love seat below. They also come with a ladder system. The pics of previous years or dorm room examples at the end of the video had the older beds that could only be lofted slightly higher than a normal bed.
Also, I said that there are only 2 showers per floor, but that was a mistake. Each floor has two different bathroom areas and each bathroom has a few shower stalls.

Where is basketball court
Hi, that’s a great question, but unfortunately I didn’t see any basketball courts right at the dorm. There may be, but I’m not aware of any unfortunately. . There are a few big gymnasiums that are over by the football arena which isn’t very far away.

Do you know if this is the same dorms athletes stay in their freshman year?
I don’t think so, but not 100% sure. I’ve heard they can stay in any dorms, but I can’t confirm that unfortunately.

How much does it cost per month living there
The room in the video is for a two person room, but UF has single, double and triple dorm room options.
$5990 for the dorm for the year and $4600 per year as an average meal plan. You can select different meal plans that have different prices based on how many meals you would like a week. You don’t have to get a meal plan if you don’t want one.

@@1UniverseGames hi Jahid, personally I think I’d you’re college age that you may like staying on campus in one of the dorms for your freshman year. This way you’ll meet other students and then I would probably recommend going off campus the second year with some friends to you meet to get an apartment unless you really like living on campus and want to stay in the dorms the next year. Often, if you want to become a resident assistant foe the second or later years, the university will usually give a free dorm room for being the resident assistant (RA).
