    Hi Bob, just discovered your channel. Have been trying to find a nice and relaxed birding channel with great info and tidbits like this! Not to mention great shots and exciting birds! Best Wishes from Florida!

      Thanks. I do them for fun. I'm heading north into the deep snow for the next two. You'll get a kick out of that, I suspect. Hitting the Everglades in March. I can never get enough of the place. Been going for 50 years.

    Thanks! It's interesting how many of the same birds, sea birds and inland birds, we see in Nova Scotia. Actually, the scenery all looks familiar as well!

      Paraphrasing a famous bird editor: "Every big day of birding involves eating something that ends with tos - cheetos, fritos, doritos..."

    Just found your videos Bob! Actually, I found a video you made quite a few years back of the Seal Island puffin tour after successfully booking my 2023 puffin tour tickets today. Also great to see my home of Kittery Point, as I'm currently out in Texas finishing up a master's degree and miss those views. Cheers

    The wife and I are planning a trip up to York, ME in October. I'll check eBird to see how October compares to January. It's our first birding trip to ME but I'm sure not our last. If you have any tips, they'll be appreciated - and I love the humor. Keep making the videos.

      Just back from a whirlwind trip through northern New Brunswick.
      I think you've made a good destination choice. Most sea ducks will have arrived from the north. Some late migrants will still be pushing through. Two spots you must do: The Nubble Light in York and Marginal Way in Ogunquit. For additional fun, try Laudholm Farm in Wells, which may yield more field and forest edge migrants. If you have time and inclination, Biddeford Pool is usually rewarding, especially out to East Point.

    Keep them coming!!

    Aha! You do film your own bird video. I saw your camera setup. What camera/lens do you use? (another great video by the way.)

      Yeah, easiest January excursion ever. Marginal Way and East Point Sanctuary can be a little tricky if icy.

    If you had to pick one week a year what would be your choice of a week to spend in these places looking for birds?

    no thanks Bob ,whats the rush ?

    • @Bob_Duchesne
      @Bob_Duchesne  10 месяцев назад

      Well, the underlying story is: How well do I know this part of the coast and where all the birds are? Well enough to find most of them in one day? Otherwise, yeah, no rush.

      Yes, corm-ma-rant here. How do you pronounce aluminum there?
