I do bare minimum for completions. Once im to red maps i may start to alc/corrupt for completion first, then ill still upgrade them if my atlas strategy and the map make sense, and also only if i know i can survive it. Save those alcs tho. They arent as plentiful early on. Feels bad to have to exchange a div or lots of chaos to get some alcs for completion still
great point, and now when you do a map is gonna be a league mecanic node so you can farm currency little by little, so you could assure the upgrades on the character.
farming yellow maps isnt a trap. Hes just a melee cuck so he struggles to do anyhthing. Play any normal build and read mods. Pretty much it. Yellow literally increases everything u get. In his case if ur running essence farm then ya nobody cares about rarity or quant or anything. Those specific case ppl are just sitting in low tier maps anyways because theres no real value in high end maps. I think its like t5 or t6 to get access to the good essence now
It's not a trap if your character is strong enough. When I play HC I run them blue like this, but when I play SC trade there's no reason at all to not alch and go as it's very easy to get a character strong enough to do so. He's speaking way too generally about it in this video as this is definitely not applicable to everyone. It's good advice for HC specifically and characters who are weaker early/new players.
Basically alching a map is not mandatory. And only matters if you are doing specific atlas strategies. If you are doing expedition / betrayal / alva / essence / bestiary alching a map won't change the outcomes, however if you are doing destructive play / altars you need more packs and alching will give you that..
It is a very good advice, but there are nuances about it. I personaly run every map rare if I can. Either because I dropped them rare (which was mentioned) or I just have a bunch of spare alchs. Low tier maps are not that dificulty even if they are rare because the mods are also lower tier. Running them rare when I have alchies to spare improved my league start quite a bit and also my atlas progression because rare maps just drop more maps period. Outside of that specific, Carn is 200% right when it comes to pleople trying to run league mechanics on rare maps. Unless your build is already well put togheter, running them rare will lose you a lot of time in league start. A lot of League specific mobs have mods, spells and attacks that regular map mobs don't have and can kill you if you give them 1 or 2 extra map mods. At league start I even run some low level logbooks magic instead of rare because of how rippy they can become. It if just more efficient not dying all the time, specially when you actually need levels to complete your build as fast as possible.
I've send this to my friend that always says I HAVE TO rare my maps, and that's funny because I also thought it's worth it, it was just to hard and not fun at all. Now I know I had nice idea, thanks!
not really just go for completion rarity and youl be fine and have a good build that's that simple ( white map = blue / yellow map = yellow / and red yellow corrupt
On SSF I usually run every map exactly once. First I run every available white map once as magic before starting with yellow maps as rare and then switch right to corrupted red maps. After I'm done with Atlas map completion I switch back to alch and go. Usually doing magic white maps gives you enough power to survive rare yellow maps, same for corrupted red maps. I assume the situation is slightly different if you don't do most lower tier maps first and skip them to get faster to the bosses.
When reaching red maps should I push higher tiers without getting the completion because I don’t have vaals / they are too difficult or wait with the progess till I can run them? Very nice quick and informative video!
U definitely want to alc the yellow ones and alc + Val the red ones for completion , ofc let’s say a yellow map and u already completed before u definitely just blue it. Basic stuff
my friends would always give me shit for running red maps as blue, but i can do then 3 sometimes 4x as fast as they do 1 yellow map, and i end up getting more for my time, but they always tell me to alch maps and that it's better, i've just never really believed this, the only time i alch is either, giga end game, conquerors, or progression requirement. I suppose giga juicing as well but that's like, you're putting in the time to roll/prep the juice etc so then it's fine.
Just curious, what is your ideal atlas for playing HC SSF at league start? I assume it's either essences or expedition (or both), but which do you rush first? And how do you decide when to take map drop / kirac related nodes vs go for more essences / expedition nodes?
in ssf you go kiracl first for free and easy atlas completion and also getting uniqu emap bc you can't get them on trade and for the other point after kirrac weel just take everything bc in ssf you need everything . then when you have a solid build and can invest some scarab or something else you love go for it and make a altas tree that focus on that mechanic
Man my friends for making fun of me for making this, I have done that for couple leagues. I level faster because I die less, spends less currency and still dropped a headhunter haha. I run full breach blue maps and level to 95 reeeaaal fast.
eh, I honestly run every map after my 5. rare, first 4 are blue, but then always rares, case when I do them blue, I just run out of higher tiers immediately, if I would be constantly doing T1s and T2s, allright, but higher tiers and I would ran out of them, dunno if I am unlucky compared to others, but that is unfortunate reality for me, I tried it, long time ago, so maybe it changed since then, but well, I am skeptical tbh
i just start running rare map once i get to yellow tier
no way, same! i also start running some corrupted maps once i get to red tier
@@aspidinton I'm so glad I'm not the only one doing exactly this

Big thank you, I fell into that trap.

For sc the choice is simple. Atlas points > less deaths.
Nothing is more irritating than using a Vaal Orb on a red map you want to complete for Bonus and it changes to another map.
@@MrVvulfluckily we have kirac with scouting reports to target farm uncompleted maps

I wish we could run through every map 1 after another like acts

I only do the mininum to get my map bonuses. Most of the money comes from atlas investment anyway.
Great video, a caveat you should have added at the beginning though should be: Stop running your maps rare (unless you are EA)
Sure, but it's still good advice for 90% of players.

im a bit nooby but jun is really nice in hcssf for the orbs and gear early but yeah expedition essence and harvest are all good

Another good reason not to alch your maps is, you won't have mana to kill stuff lol
i didnt alc at the start on my first character...but i forgot about it and start doing rare map on new season then i dead like 5 times each map 😂
good info
I alch the maps that require it to get the bonus points on the atlas. Or if I have them to spare, which I usually do.
Yea same. That is an important distinction.
You are originally a french speaker, i would say from Morocco. i'm i right ? I am originally from Algeria and can detect my brothers =)
Huh I always run anything above yellow rare even if I already got completion neat
but if i run it rare and its no big deal, why wouldnt i?
if it's not HC it's always alch + go for me but definitely for HC
Follow this advice, especially if you're using one of Quinn's builds 😂
Noone in the right mind would use one of Quin's builds. Not even Quin would use them, if he wasn't actively cooking. RAMPING.
Great advice! Only going run rare and corrupted maps for the atlas point then down to magic.
Thank you, I always do opposite. Alc + vaal -> die @ t14+ This time I'll do it right way!

Specifically white maps.
Once you hit yellow maps you SHOULD run them rare to get the atlas points, just dont waste your alchs on white tier maps.
