I think it’s important to draw a line and be firm with our kids about many western celebrations that are not for us as Muslim. I grow up in france and since the very young age my mum told me that I shouldn’t feel bad if my dad didn’t give her flowers 💐 that day because it’s not our tradition or religion. Now adult and a mother myself I told my husband that Valentine’s Day it’s not for me and I won’t celebrating it he accepted it and explain to our kids same as Halloween 🎃 . Yes my kids feel like they are missing out but I’m 💯 sure they will understand just like I do now . Proud to be a Muslim alhamdulillah 🤲. Let’s no forget free Palestine 🇵🇸 in every end of messages and comments.
