That therapy episode was wild. Glad this show finally came out. I loved the shit. The way they established their marriage was complex and compelling.

Episode 6 was definitely the hardest one to watch, it was tough watching these two spiral down into the abyss of a broken relationship. The argument they had in the forest was real life stuff, if you have ever been in a serious relationship you have had those types of arguments. They are needed in order to move the relationship forward in greater truth and honesty. Their greatest problem at this point in their relationship is communication. They don’t know how to properly communicate their mode of operation in their relationship and in their missions. John loves the journey and adventure of each mission, his main thing is having some sort of fun. This is ok for some less dangerous missions but sometimes you gotta go and take care of business and he is not finding that balance.
John masks his anxiety and lack of belief in himself through humor and complacency which some, including Jane, thinks is stupidity or lack of knowledge. Far from it John is very intelligent in regards to his awareness, analytical thinking, instincts, and problem solving. John was always two or three steps ahead of Jane in his thinking and awareness of every situation, the problem was his execution of the plan wasn’t always good and got progressively worse each episode.
This impacted Jane who was all about execution and completeness. What is our mission, how can I complete it the fastest way possible. I don’t need to know you I don’t need necessarily interact with you, if I am to kill you I am gonna kill you, if I need to protect you I will protect you. She doesn’t care about enjoying the journey or having fun it’s about completing the mission and getting paid end of discussion.
Case in point the mission with the three black targets, John said he wanted point on this one and told Jane he could get it done in 30 minutes top. Well when you tell someone who operates in timing & efficiency this they expect you to execute the job in that timeframe. But then John starts enjoying the male bonding piece and starts losing track of the objective and time, plus brings in his personal relationship with Jane and says hurtful things that should never be said with strangers, he broke all the rules and Jane had to spur the finishing of the job. John has to learn the balance of having a little fun with an internal clock that says ok time to execute the plan and get it done. Jane has to allow John some leeway in how he handles but give firm timelines as to when execution needs to happen so John knows if you don’t handle it by this time I am taking control that way both know the expectation.
Episode 6 is the definitely the first signs that communication problems are spilling over from their own personal relationship to their business relationship and it is severely impacting their ability to complete the mission successfully.

This was one of the best breakdowns I’ve heard of this show. One I will disagree with you on is Jane had more emotional range, I loved how both actors played their characters individually and together but look at episode 7 when she was crying to Bev. Before she was in control at all times and lacked emotion but that scene she was crying and all over the place

English is my second language and I speak better than you. Why do you need to swear all the time? It add nothing. Its ok to swear once in a while if you want to express anger,
    other than that, its pointless.
