Does someone know if he used already effects on the tracks such as HF /LF EQ and stuff or is this just very good quality right of the box? • @snail415
      @snail415 5 лет назад +3

      When double or quad-tracking, you always record each track individually. Moreover, if you can record the dry signals and re-amp after, you have a ton of flexibility with how each take sits alongside eachother. Basic starting point is to take two tracks and hard-pan them, then the other two maybe 2/3 as much each way. I've done 5 tracks (leaving one dead-center or stereoized, but you have to play flawlessly and thin-out the EQ to make it all work.

    Misha, man, I pray to God you read this.
    Go all the way bro, go slamming brutal death metal and death metal, it's 100% what's good now, and it's actually what we want to hear- if you don't go this direction then you will have to be a slower paced progressive metalcore band, like it or not you will end up being comfortable with this pay grade but ultimately the good stuff, the stuff we want to hear, isn't in this cockride of our parents generation of rock and I mean that it's only different in style of vocals, they used the same instruments and made them sound great live, like you, but your music is more refined, made to sound how you want it and it's perfect, timeless.
    Spencer doesn't have to do abysmal lows, crazy highs, doesn't think it will work in any of the songs you guys write in this new genre, but you can expand and do death metal with topics around mental health, Spencer showed he's a beast on the mic in juggernaut that means he can really do some chilling stuff with the context of the horrors we are complicit in creating, such as when my brother had a mental breakdown and despite letting the police know of this they threw him in open population in the winter when the jails heat was out so they just left the doors open, leaving my brother scared due to his reality crashing down, cold, and in pain likely as he has worked fast food 45+ hour weeks for 6 years in a row and he was 22. This common mistreatment of mentally ill is worth writing about as uncountable losses are had even today in gang violence and the vast increase in not only killings by cops but homicides in the street in general. The death in this modern day environment is laughable and something we should bask in a higher culture during as the elite can only possess wealth while we possess culture and Periphery, Infantectomy, Angelmaker, etc.

    Hello. Great video series on your way of composing, really amazing! I have some technical questions about capturing your guitar and bass lines in cubase. The first is what type of card are you using, and if there is any type of preamplifier. , DI or any other device between the cable that comes out of your guitar and bass to the card both in the direct signal and in the processed signal of the AX.The next and last question that I would like to answer is how many Dbfs RMS you record the signal inside the Daw, that is, how many average input DBfs RMS does your Cubase mark on the input channel meter that you record through? (-20Dbfs ....- 18Dbfs .....- 14Dbfs ....- 12DBfs ...._ 10DBfs ................?) Thank you very much for all Misha !!.

    • @guitarfreak2105

      I don't want to speak for Misha but my idea as to why it sounds so good is he is using a template that he made for writing in cubase. I'm sure he has the drums pre programmed to sound a certain way with compression, reverb and post processing already done and maybe even some processing on guitars and bass already.
      Takes some work to setup but once you do you can get things sounding pretty good out of the box. One thing I do is track with my limiter on so that way everything is as loud as it should be.

      @pullen6091 4 года назад +1

      I got really tired of that after a while. Last year I spent a solid 2 weeks setting everything up to make a few template variations and that has worked wonders. All my presets are setup to where drums are really just minor tweaks. Bass has "clean low" and "dirty high" tracks ready to go. Rhythm guitars double tracked but there's 4 tracks so I can pan them to a specific pocket I like. Then I have ready to go 3 lead tracks and 3 cleans (a left, right, and center and just duplicate when I need more) Then I just have busses on top for drums, bass, rhythm, lead, clean. Master buss is fed by aforementioned busses and into main out. Presets are setup on busses (aside from individual pieces of drum kit) unless I go for something more specific with individual tracks. Just spend some time with your DAW and take some time on each piece of the puzzle to where you can make templates that come close to what you usually go for.

      It is probably the same one that Nolly uses, which he talks about on the Periphery nail the mix.

      Eric Weissenborn just opened the session. FFL1 and Virtual Tape machines on the output.
      Yup, there is vbc fg grey on instrumentals and virtual mix rack.
      In Misha’s case I bet it all could be on the master bus:)

    Miiiissshhhaaaaa!!!!!!!!! You guys should be releasing new songs or (singles) every week or month on your new band owned record label. The new album hail stan wasexcellent but it left me wanting more since it had been so long since p3. I know u guys have TONS of bulb demoes u could work with or stuff that hasnr even been heard yet. By the way i loved its only smiles and bonergarden a shit ton. I like the new album and i really wish u guys would put more of the softer songs like that on the next album u release i watched an interview with spencer a few weeks back and he said moving foreward u guys will be going more towards the darker sound like hhail stan was but even darker on the next album i really hope that doesnt mean that even more of the songs are going to be heavy than softer cuz ya the heavy and dark stuff u guys are good at but honestly there is to much of that in the genre and metal music as a whole pretty much all metal is heavy and dark and in my opinion it will just end up sounding like everyone elses music. The periphery i grew to love was spencers amazing clean vocals paired with more upbeat melodic music and guitar riffs just like its only smiles or garden in the bones (bonergarden) another style id love to hear more of on the next is sounding like lune or sattelites u guys are amazing tho and no matter what i will always be a super fan till the day i die. Heck im only one fan tho so i know u probly wont even read this and i wont get my wish but id like my input to be out there for a chance at least.

    If I'm correct, you're recording the processed signal from Axe-Fx instead of DI. Is this something you just prefer or do you do that to help to conserve the processing power for other tracks?

    What program are you using? I know you have ggd listed.. but what is the recording software? I’m trying to get into recording at home and want to invest in something that will be worth it in the long run.
