Based on my own research I am thinking I have had 3 bouts over the past year with Labyrinthitis. Each time though, no vertigo, but I get Diplacusis Dysharmonica in my left ear. Each time it's been the left ear. The last two times it happened pretty much back to back. Onset began with fullness in the ear, losing some of my lower-range hearing, followed by everyone sounding like a robot in my left ear. It went away after a week. The second time it happened 2 weeks after the first time it happened and it was the same thing resolving in one week after peak. Fast forward a year, I have it again. I had a cold and then this happened. So I'm hoping that it is just inflammation of my auditory nerve or something.
Is it normal to have this WITHOUT vertigo?
