    Starting each strand with the seed beads before adding the bigger beads is such a wonderful tip. I just restrung the last multi I made and it works so much better. It’s more more flexible. Thank you!

    I watched this tutorial like half a year ago but I’ve been terrified of not getting the length right. But honestly worst comes to worst you can always remake it. At this point I’ve made more complicated projects and I’ve never even done the multi strand to this day. The one thing I and not sure about is the visible thread around the toggle. A wire guard wouldn’t work because you would need it for each strand. It really does look amazing and may not even be an issue. There is a clear benefit which is how easy it is to twist as much as you desire and I’m pretty sure the less you twist the longer it is.

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  8 месяцев назад

      Hi, you can extend your thread easily. Look in my shorts there is a video explaining how. The thread in the loop of the toggle is not as visible as you might think. The only thing I can say is, try it. You can always take it apart if you don’t like it. 😁

    Thanks for this wonderful video. Of course you can use hardware attachments for multi strand bracelets, but I think this is a great alternative (and sometimes more professional) to using crimps, cones, etc. Also, I believe you could do this technique with large hole beads and heavier thread or cord, going through each bead strand one time. For example, if you want to use ethnic or metal beads, etc.

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  3 года назад +1

      Yes, I think that would work, good idea. I think this looks so much prettier than a bunch of crimped strands, though if done well, that can look really good too. But it’s a nice alternative.🤪💕

    Okay, so your preference for wire and thread or whatever differs from mine, I guess. But, I just started trying to make stuff at the end of July and I have no idea what kind of substitute to use for your preference. I'm going to try what I have but I wanted to ask: if you're using 8lb nanofil and I have some .012 in/0.30mm Beadalon supplemax monofilament illusion cord, would that suffice? I am going to try with what I have right now, but I would like to know what you'd suggest (besides just buying Fireline or whatever brand you use). Thanks.

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  3 года назад

      Of course you can try anything you’d like. I am not familiar with all the threads and fishing lines available. I only know those I use often. I recommend Fireline or Nanofil. But like I said, definitely try what you have. If you find it difficult to work with, then, get some fireline😁

      Brittany Lemons it doesn’t because, you sew through it again and as you come back through to start your next strand, and each after, the thread is wound through so many times, it is more than secure. Good question😀

      For functionality, the round end is hard to pass through, if the body of the bracelet is wide. It needs to be narrow on that end to pass through

      Buy any beads 4mm round and smaller. You can actually use any shape. You can use 11/o and 8/o seed beads too. Don't over think it, just string small beads. You need 3 6/0 seed beads, a clasp and some fireline. This is meant to inspire your own creativity. Its a technique video.

    I don’t understand the use of the 6/0 bead followed by 11/0s at the ends of the strand near the clasp. Is it functioning like a crimp cover? Does it enhance mobility?

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  3 года назад +1

      The 6/o seed bead, allows for many passes of thread through the end to attach to the clasp. It has a wide hole and hides all the thread coming up from the strands, it is functional and aesthetic. The 11/0s, at the start of each strand, allow the strands to lay together nicely where they enter the 6/0. It is a design technique that allows beauty, flow and function. So the answer to your question is yes.

    • @MaggyShannon

      @@GGCBeginningbeaders Thank you so much for answering my question so quickly! At first I thought it looked a little strange, but when the bracelet was complete it did not show very much and I certainly can see how the design is strengthened and improved by it. I’m a beginner, and I've had quite a few pieces fall apart on me.

      @@GGCBeginningbeaders Hello, next morning here, I'm embarking on what I hope will be a creative day. In future, would you please do a tutorial on selecting bead cones for use with multi-strand necklaces? I am having a bit of a nutty over color mixes, and that’s one way I've seen of making the work look polished. I can do the math to determine what circumference bead cluster will fit in which cone, but the artists on RUclips never seem to get so technical. (Or maybe they are really hiding it?).

      A piece like this , probably twenty five dollars. I used cheap beads and didn’t spend a lot of time on it.

      You can get seed beads from beadabeada.com and budget bead box for the other beads and clasps.

    That just seems like alot of work and high probability for mistakes. But the bracelet is great

      Actually, it’s very easy. The only way to know is to try it😁

    Sorry for being so stupid but the big 6/0 seed beed sort of takes the place of a crimp. You add 11/0 seed beads to the ends of strands of bigger beads to make the strand lay flat.

      Yes, that’s exactly right.

      Diana Moon I did it off camera, and say that. By this point in the video it was too tedious and repetitive to do it on camera.

    Why wouldn’t you just double up the string so you don’t have to backtrack and re thread ?

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  10 месяцев назад

      You could, but it can be hard to pass through some beads and it tangles a lot.
