Bro dead azz, I flat out stopped playing. As an OG day 1 2k player the constant fluctuations of this game day to day, week to week, month to month and every year. They never keep what works or remove what doesn't. They do the exact opposite. If it's not broken they break it, and if it's broken they break it even further. I've said way too many times that this was it, but I'm at that point now I'm good. 2k25 is my jumping off point.
There has always been shooting latency issues park vs rec etc forever....and I usually just stay in the rec every year but this year the inconsistency makes the game more hectic than it needs to be
Folks: My Opinion. I last played 2k20. My 10 year old wanted 2k25, so here we are. I created a Board Hunting Lob Threat. Small Center, my style, fast. What has happen to this game? First, they have layered it with far too much complexities. All the Badges, then you have bonus on badges, then you have bonuses on bonuses. They have made it far to complex to the casual fan of basketball, LET ALONE A YOUNG FAN of the game, NBA. 2nd, greed. HOLY Crap, in 2k20, I would turn it up to HOF, run Back screens Alley Oops make some decent VC, today, VC is a grind. All you need to know, win the chip, you get 500 vc. SOMEONE do the math, you must play all your playoff games, how much vc per hour, DISGUSTING. Sadly, we at the mercy of this company, if you want to play a basketball game. It hard, NOT much else has changed to my eyes on the court, and Microtransactions, yeah, 8000vc PLUS for most gear and your reward is 500vc. FU Ronnie.
I wasn’t having a problem at first in triple threat with my AI corner dropping and leaving the man open. Now that’s all they do, I have to switch to them at all times to make sure they stay on there man. It’s ridiculous. Changed setting to stay attached and no help on cutting etc… it’s crazy man
@@dloading5858you are speaking for everyone by saying that, not everybody wants the same thing. When you say “yall” are never satisfied who are you talking about bro😂😂
Lately all I do when I fire up the game, do my daily spins and I end up shooting around in Mycourt for 5 mins then I just end up turning it off.. Other games are just more enjoyable it's that simple once I expanding my gaming options..
Never forget that many VC purchases are about improving gameplay. When they announced 9000 animations many people imagined improvements with gameplay. However, because the grind is very, very long and VC gives you a boost to "improving" gameplay, the brand has little incentive to allow good gameplay. This is key to why the algorithms adjustments via gameplay and downloads keep the gameplay many seek out of reach. If we are to effect the incentive for change, most if not all platforms should revert back to say last year's game, 2K24. Money was spent in the millions of dollars there and we are all used to how that game played. Send the strongest message by acting differently than before.
First problem with the game, is that you can’t make a versatile build and have fun. I honestly feel like having a 99 attribute in any catagory is toxic. It makes the playing the game unbearable when you run into a player spamming exploits. Second the game is broken, the entire game feels clunky and unpredictable. And 3rd,the game is made for you to get frustrated and make a new build. All the rewards are catered to making a build and spending more money. This is the least I’ve played 2k in 5 years
i've had my ups n downs with 25 but the most annoying this is the rng dribbling. you get pulled into so many animations that you just don't know what you're gona get. i feel like i can never do consistent combos cus i dont know what rng animation i will get.
Love the content … the problem with 2k is Mike Wang. For the past 4 years its has been the same centralized issue … shooting. The time for change is long overdue.
Awful Shooting, broken steals, something with post scoring being too good, and interior defense being bad are the only consistent things in every 2k.....I hate this ish
@@TheHippyFarmer It fluctuates throughout the whole year because either the community wants something changed or Mike Wang seems a change necessary when no one is asking for it.
Yea man I finally deleted the game today. I couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve been rhythm shooting since the game came out and now all of a sudden I gotta unlearn learning rhythm shooting cause they broke it with the last patch. I’m just done with it. It’s just not fun anymore
2k25 is a total mess right now. The shot contest is ass, interior defense is horrible, steals are op, rhythm shooting hasn't really been the same since the patch update, shooting is inconsistent, I keep getting a lot of bad lag spikes, and my center builds be running slow asf when I have a 70 speed when I'm playing online game modes now it feels a bit a slow and clunky. Idk what to do anymore.
I don’t mind the gameplay, I find it fun. But most players are very bad. Either trolling or bad. Bricking off HOF Dimer is crazy work. People say contests changed but I don’t see it.
I just spin the wheel for the daily reward then proceed to play sparking zero 😅 they should've never touched rhythm shooting like you thought you mastered something and then 2k just messed things up again.
At the end of the day, all we want is consistency, which is contrary to all the blatant RNG. I think what frustrates me and my friends the most is that over the last 3-4 years, we've essentially become 2k's QA team. We have to play through all the BS and complain enough for them to make (too many) changes. I'm at a point where i'm not even sure if the devs truly know how to fix certain bugs. Just feels like a bunch of trial and error week after week from them.
This is the 1st 2k I gave up on tbh. Last year I played comp 5s mostly and I can’t even convince myself to play it this year with how games feel so one sided most times with loose balls and shooting.
Outside of some things like paint defense, different shooting profiles and perimeter defense to a degree I actually enjoy playing the game for what it is atm
Before the patch I was shooting 65% from 3. After patch my jumper was broke and I had to claw my way back up from 30% sitting at 60% now. Im still missing wide open with a 98 3 if I make a few, when I KNOW my shot and use rhythm shooting and it usually happens when my team is winning.
My experience interior defense only exist against guards at times. Against another big is completely useless. Perimeter defense is a joke against screens. Shooting buff reward corner sitters. This game only benefit comp playstyles. You can’t be good at this game and win consistently any other way.
8:28 or when the other team is about to be in the bonus they will literally make your player get a blocking call and the player isn’t even holding circle for the charge!
The majority of 2k casuals do not take the time to lab their shot or lab anything at all. They expect to go right into online play and excel at everything.
Before the patch my sharp with a 93 3 ball could shoot fine in the rec and everywhere else. After the patch I recently got cap breakers and pushed it to 96 and yesterday I couldn’t hit a damn thing in the rec. I find it weird that I can shoot in RANKED 3v3 but not a REC game
Not enjoying this game at all. Feel like I have no control of whether I make a shot or not. After 3 straight makes I have come to terms expect that I will miss the 4th shot no matter how good I time it and how open I am. Vice versa, if I miss 2 shots I come to expect to make my 3rd shot even when I know I didn’t time that 3rd shot right
The thing is, I don't think those competitive folks get that 2K is for the average gamers like us. Most people who buy this game every year are just casual players. So they decided to give us different game modes to keep the hardcore players and the casuals separate. But here's the thing, these games are made for the competitors. The really smart, skilled players and top-level competitors were in the 2K league, and that didn't work out. Most of us, including me, just want to jump in and play. Forget about learning and mastering the game. How many people rely on 2K labs or 2K content creators to find the best jump shots or builds? Now, the gameplay stuff should be constantly improving. I think they should release a game and stick with it. Ignore the complainers who say shooting is too hard. Remember when they removed the L1+R1 combo to throw the ball down the court without looking? They wanted us to have better IQ and communication. But guess what we did? We discovered that you can just hold X or A to make the same pass. I'm not saying it's the worst 2K ever, but I feel like the gameplay time is limited for me. They've been around long enough to get it right. But I think they're asking the wrong people for feedback about the game.
There’s really one play style in this game. Small guards with a lock or big. Nothing else really matters. That’s what makes the game boring. Nobody wants to do the same exact thing every game!
Last week I could drive and dunk on centers with my Multi Talented Big, yesterday I’m going up with weak ass layups with the same stick application! 🤨🤦🏽♂️WTH?? This last patch just Effed up a decent 2K!
2k is addicting and I think I have a problem and need help. I put 2k over my Work, family, and own health. I will ignore my family in order to finish a game. I think about what I’m going to do with my cap breakers more than I think about what I’m going to do with my kids. I haven’t hung out with my wife in weeks. HELP
Ngl. My irl homies. And my 2k homies. We were very happy with the game at launch. Passing lanes were ideal. Made you think more and be more strategic when passing the rock. Personally. I only see 10-15 full court passes in a full season in the nba. In 2k. It’s after every single rebound. The shooting was perfect because you HAD TO LEARN HOW TO SHOOT. Once you got the hang of it. It felt like a win within itself. Did it have flaws. Absolutely. However, after this patch. It felt like they added more issues. And now, again, every centre that grabs the rebound is Tom Brady passing it to Edelman. And even IF youre in the right position to steal that pass. It’s like the ball double jumps over your extended hand.
Wtf do you mean passing lanes were ideal that shh was broken and too easy now it takes skill and timing still too easy to get if you know what you are doing but you deserve the steal if you get it.
The problem with defense is these players are making 99 perimeter and high steals and think that’s gonna cut it it’s not you still need skill but have no other defense what about interior block vertical strength all that shit matters in basketball these boys wanna make high rated offensive players and don’t understand balance
Feels like they reverted back to 2K24 after the patch! SMH 🤦♂️… They chose to listen to a large group of casuals complaining and totally changed the game’s dynamic responsiveness. Was it perfect before the patch? No, definitely not - steals needed a 15% nerf, interior defense a 5% buff, and that’s that. Shooting was totally fine before the patch- it allowed for skill based gameplay-But now it’s WAY easier to shoot with square 🎯, rhythm shooting is broken, interior defense is buffed to the max (pulling people out of dunk and layup animations with no foul 🤨). Steals are fine, but maybe they could use a slight buff. Now the game feels bland, boring, and animation-driven. Every player plays the same if you don’t have a PG. It’s mind-numbing 🥱 - this bs totally killed 2K this year. The only fix? Mike Wang and the team need to revert back to Vanilla version of the game and revert back Day One. At least then, it will feel like a fresh, complete basketball experience, where every build was unique. Shooting was fine and rewarded-rhythm shooter for those who chose to learn the skill based mechanics of the game(minus the catch delay - which I was also okay with), and movement felt fluid, rewarding players putting in time, energy, and effort. Skill actually mattered! 2K failed hard with this patch, and I’m genuinely disappointed. I’ve invested &&$ in 5 builds, and now the game feels practically unplayable. Like this comment if you agree, and let’s run it up to get Mike Wang’s attention for a real change! 🙌💯
When Felicia with the beard was on 2ktv as a dev.....I knew this game was going to have issues....when we started catering to the smallest minority globally we have stumbled into a land of participation award winning mentalities...and if you're trash at the game...don't worry the pro player mechanics will advance your player and nerf your opponent....this RNG and SBMM BS only caters to casual and below average player bases across all games
FYI you could have a 99 dunk, you will get thrown out animation or miss if you don’t have the playmaking and physical to support the style of play.. n yes strength helps fact not needed but def helps
2k25 made me so mad last night I spent $50 on a new build last night I’m a whole 91 over and 6’9 and losing to 7’3s who are 66 overall and they still back me down and win and and score like I’m not there
well i think they're on the right direction, changing core gameplay features is not an easy thing, you could say they did re-vamp dribbling last year, and they're still on that path in 2k25. They implemented rhythm shooting, go to shots, and they made the animations look a bit more smooth, visually. The implementation hasn't been great though, but i think those changes were needed, and eventually by working on it they should end up with a less clunky product. I think they should concentrate on that instead of putting out these fortnite FPS mini games and WNBA's stuff literally nobody is playing. I think they did a pretty good job fixing the latency too, cuz i play rec and theater and its pretty damn smooth on my end. Game used to be mad delayed
can't shoot since the patch, i used to shoot about 50-55% before the patch, now? i'd rather not say. Fades, no problems, stebacks, all the stuff that uses the shifty shooter badge, no problem shooting those either, about the same as before the patch.. my main problem is WIDE OPENED CATCH+SHOOT... this is aggravating me to no end, since the patch i keep missing wide opened catch+shoots.. its pretty embarrassing.
Brooo me too I thought if I was a great shooter before the patch . I was going to be 60% after the patch but I’m not even confident anymore 😂I’m 45% now wtf

On godd. Thats factss. And you lose games you definitely supposed to win. All you have to do is pass the rock and play some defense. I agree 💯
The fact that I jump in the paint while playing hands up defense is insane!
I hate them automated animations smfh.... why am I moving and I did not move my player on the game. That shit need to go ASAP
No cap
Then sometimes u can’t put ur hands up at all
Also sometimes if you reach it makes you jump as well which makes no sense lol
@@CodeRedFame shit dumb as hell smh
Sometimes it feels like I’m playing a basketball game movie and I know how it’s gonna end.
There has always been shooting latency issues park vs rec etc forever....and I usually just stay in the rec every year but this year the inconsistency makes the game more hectic than it needs to be
Having not played 18, 25 is easily the least fun I’ve ever had on a 2k ever. 21 may not have been great but I still at least had fun playing it.
The shooting is just so inconsistent there’s no reason I should be shooting better in the the Proving Grounds then in the Rec just doesn’t make sense
Haven’t been back to this channel since the “missing shots is your fault” video so appreciate the valid feedback Allcity🍿
Getting pulled out of dunk as a big against 6'3 guards is the worst😂
5 days clean of 2k lol. Ill keep yall updated 😂
AllCityLive, I feel you on the inconsistency on shooting too.
Defense has left the building post patch
Completely to me and i have a lockdown build smh wasted my money
Last 3 years fam. Game comes out, buff offense, nerf defense and then the game is trash
The defense is fine
@@alexisclutch3200you are tweakin. This defense is trash garbage.
@@AllergicToBS8393 this is why the game sucks, you have people like this. You can't contest a shot...... It's fine
FU Ronnie.
Game is random asl it feels like it doesn’t even matter what build I use
I wasn’t having a problem at first in triple threat with my AI corner dropping and leaving the man open. Now that’s all they do, I have to switch to them at all times to make sure they stay on there man. It’s ridiculous. Changed setting to stay attached and no help on cutting etc… it’s crazy man
Pro play is killing 2k.
THE MORE REALISTIC / SIMULATION THEY TRY TO MAKE THE GAME THE LESS FUN IT BECOMES💯
They need to back to being simple
I don’t think it’s pro play but I think there should be a way to be in control of your player

He is right on 736. This game is the worst unplayable 2K I’ve ever played in my life.
Been missing wide open lay ups with 90 lay up gold physical finisher etc.. on ball menace (Hof) pops up then the player blows right past me smh
This is the least I’ve played 2k in 5 years
i've had my ups n downs with 25 but the most annoying this is the rng dribbling. you get pulled into so many animations that you just don't know what you're gona get. i feel like i can never do consistent combos cus i dont know what rng animation i will get.
i hate that they're so many missed layups & that the passing is so terrible even for those with higher pass ratings
Change your pass settings most people ignore that
Nah he ain't lying the passing in this game is horrible, it's like 2k doesn't care about players that like to pass
@@jonesoverton9209 an most YALL keep the default pass setting lmao then cry about how you can’t pass based on nothing but your actual attribute lmao
@toxicmelody6228 what's wrong with shooting?
@@TheHippyFarmer
It fluctuates throughout the whole year because either the community wants something changed or Mike Wang seems a change necessary when no one is asking for it.
Yea man I finally deleted the game today. I couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve been rhythm shooting since the game came out and now all of a sudden I gotta unlearn learning rhythm shooting cause they broke it with the last patch. I’m just done with it. It’s just not fun anymore
@@Jtbg80you’ll be back by tmmrw 😉
2k25 is a total mess right now. The shot contest is ass, interior defense is horrible, steals are op, rhythm shooting hasn't really been the same since the patch update, shooting is inconsistent, I keep getting a lot of bad lag spikes, and my center builds be running slow asf when I have a 70 speed when I'm playing online game modes now it feels a bit a slow and clunky. Idk what to do anymore.
Just stop playing it lol that’s the only thing there is to do
@CodeRedFame yea no shit 💀
I continue to reject the 2k beta until it is free.
NBA 2K25 IS LOWKEY DEAD ALREADY💯💔💔1 OF THE WORST 2K GAMES OF ALL TIME
It’s a great game pro play is just bad . Like how every streamer says in order to have fun in this game “you can’t take it serious”
I disagree, last year 2k was worse for me . Latency this yr not as bad shooting.
Sadly man I thought this game had so much potential somebody has to drop a basketball game to make them give us the game they use to give us
I don’t mind the gameplay, I find it fun.
That update to shooting ruined the game for me. Before their was a skill gap. Now everyone can shoot…
It's a video game for 1, but if you play defense it forces misses
@@TheHippyFarmerfr.. dudes complaining are the guys who don’t play defense and like to sag off to go for steals or double team the ball handler.
Dunking hasnt been a problem for me with 55 driving and 81 standing at 7ft, but im not trying to yam on 3 ppl in the paint
I don't know if this was intentional or not but I noticed in every 2k25 thumbnail, you don't look happy.
Bring back College Basketball please… give us a no money spent basketball game
My experience interior defense only exist against guards at times. Against another big is completely useless. Perimeter defense is a joke against screens. Shooting buff reward corner sitters. This game only benefit comp playstyles. You can’t be good at this game and win consistently any other way.
This game was better before the patch might hang it up by November
2k has the same problem the nba is having. They keep trying to force players to play a certain way.
The amount of wide open lay ups missed is ridiculous.
We need to talk about the slow passing giving defenders easy steels in the passing lane .
All the good 2k devs left this years game and are working on GTA 😂😂
There’s really one play style in this game. Small guards with a lock or big. Nothing else really matters. That’s what makes the game boring. Nobody wants to do the same exact thing every game!
I was shooting just fine before all these updates
Crazy you dropped this lol I got fed up and deleted 2k25 and went back to 24
i got hof deadeye with 95 midrange. ppl get so mad when you hit middys on them lol
Last week I could drive and dunk on centers with my Multi Talented Big, yesterday I’m going up with weak ass layups with the same stick application! 🤨🤦🏽♂️WTH?? This last patch just Effed up a decent 2K!
NGL kinda had fun playing 5 AIs in the Rec on my Big 😂😂😂😂 but this is year HORRID
This has been my favourite 2k since 19
Defense is definitely a cheese for offense can't get over how they treat us 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sadly after making 3 builds and had some fun. I'm done with the game.
Is it just me or after patch you don’t get as much ankle breaker animations🤦🏽♂️ seeing people fall was a highlight this year💯
2k is addicting and I think I have a problem and need help. I put 2k over my Work, family, and own health. I will ignore my family in order to finish a game. I think about what I’m going to do with my cap breakers more than I think about what I’m going to do with my kids. I haven’t hung out with my wife in weeks. HELP
Them allowing whites and normal timing online will never make sense to me. Can’t take the game serious at all just hop on when I’m super bored
Yes, it’s absolutely terrible. I’ve resorted to playing college football. 🤷🏽♂️ and I’ve spent like 200 250 on players
Dunking is okay but it’s not near as good as it was last year. The frequency of dunking has been reduced and the dunking meter is worse.
The game was alright pre patch. They just needed to fix lanes steals and driving dunks. But they fcked shooting up even more instead
Passing lanes were definitely not “ideal”😂
Even with all the changes With Good Internet you can adapt remember internet,Your TV plays a big part of your gaming experience
6:48 fact 🎉 we are done with 2K BS
There is rng in every aspect of 2k. Every single animation in 2k is decided by rng not skill
2k25 made me so mad last night I spent $50 on a new build last night I’m a whole 91 over and 6’9 and losing to 7’3s who are 66 overall and they still back me down and win and and score like I’m not there
Hof set shooter and Hof deadeye together pop up on every shot....I highly suggest running these 2 together
Bro most teams lose because of their turnovers. It’s what separates the best from the casual
well i think they're on the right direction, changing core gameplay features is not an easy thing, you could say they did re-vamp dribbling last year, and they're still on that path in 2k25.
High dunk on a short build like 6’3 is just not good at all. You get taking out of every meter dunk and just miss wide open dunks when a C is just standing close to the paint not even in the direct path of the dunk. Its sad
