I love being able to live vicariously through you Mr Canyon, it’s just difficult to limit the number of things I “need” based on what I see on this channel!
I've just finished dicing up some fimonda pink/purple inserts and they are fantastic now in the canyon trails. Fills the tire perfectly and still retains very good sidehill on a 7lbs trx4 sport kit (8lbs with the wheels fitted)
I agree the rupture ain't it the flatiron looks mo-better, I know you said nobody asked for independent front and rear on a crawler but I've always wanted to try it, that's why this set up is so intriguing not really linked not really leafs but workin a treat🤔 thanks for sharing.
The problem is, everyone* except for Element have basically abandoned the 12.8" wheelbase. So my options in a full body are limited. The Enduro, Trail/Knightrunner, and Ecto/Zuul from Element, Defender from Traxxas (and others,) but I don't think Pro-Line or JConcepts make any bodies that aren't 12.3" WB, save for the 14" WB Silverado PL makes for the 10.3 Gladiator. It's a shame.
I own an element Utron and am very pleased with it considering the first IFS was crap. I would like to suggest Flatirons with Injora greens, maybe even four vent holes.
I have a ifs 2 converted element and that initial tip over at slick rock of "you thought this was a normal rig ... suffer" is felt beyond the screen bit once you work with the ifs and not against it then its as capable as a regular rig in my opinion, just requires more thought on tire placement rather than axle over all... make sure to grease the pins though cause it gets squeaky
It's sad but......not all crawlers can be awesome. That one is definitely more unique than many others. Can't wait for paint day??? Maybe that could be an episode? You have a bunch to paint right?
I dont know if I like this rig, but definitely seems to be fun I like that new JConcepts body, want to get the tucked full body for some build, probably with Tusks LPs or simmilar
I must be getting used to seeing race and drift. I saw the camber change in those turns and was like, what did they do with those control arm lengths. I'm guessing they weren't going for negative camber gain here, that would probably be too grippy flippy in the cornering :). I really like this build, I need to catch up and watch the live to see the start of it. Leaves out back and this IFS, and you'd have pretty much any 4x4 pickup or SUV from the last 40-50 years
NGL, I'm definitely considering slapping some leafs on there, as it would allow me to drop the wheelbase to 313, which means I could put pretty much any body on it.
I was there when you were building it. This is capable, as capable as it did appear. If you keep making this level of capable someone's gotta have to shoot the crawlers down while they are climbing 😆 (with a stacked-mag .45)
I don't know if softening the swaybar would be a good idea-- the stock bar is pretty soft already. As to brass rings, I'd like to avoid as much extra rotating mass as possible for this guy. The inserts are already 70g each, about the same as a brass ring. I would prefer something 3D for this, if just to keep weight down. Well, that and the fact that the Flat Iron needs a soft insert.
I drove my ascent in the snow and three of the shocks lost oil. What do you think would be the best way to rebuild them. I don't want to buy new shocks. And i don't have any oil
You can replace the seals and bladders with Traxxas big bore rebuild kits (TRA2362) and that will help a great deal. As to the shock oil, I recommend you buy some. If you're on the most extreme of extreme budgets and can buy a single bottle, I would say 40wt (500cst.) Versatile enough to fit most applications.
I don't get how you have the Injora Swamp Claws only in S3 compound? I've just checked Amazon UK and they are only available in S3 here too. But they're in S5 compound in 1.0 wheel size. All the common tyres come in S5 but it seems 1.9s are more selective in options 🤷♂️
The PBS of RC! Thank you man.

Now let’s see him run Mavericks! Bet he’ll be SUPER quick 👌👌
I couldn't think of anything to say, but i heard the algorithm likes more than four words in this box, and also likes. My job here is done.😊
More than four words? Check

I feel like this build with the IFS needs to have a ‘92 Chevy pickup body.

Big Mean Jolly Green has always been my favorite rig in the canyon, This is no longer true! Missing Link is now my favorite rig in the canyon fleet! 🔥
This is a really cool addition to the fleet. Now we just need Element to release a builders kit that includes IFS.
She’s a beaut, Clarke!
Can't wait to see the 2 tone

I would try the 3brothers with out the rods if u still have a set. Great job as all was 👏

You know I feel like the Swamp Claws do feel a little greasy at times. Do you feel like the Injoras will improve when the lugs ware down?
Great truck!!! What would you think of the amazon benedict harry 2-speed? I think Clank has it? Ridiculous top speed and good crawling speed.
I know not which to recommend, but 100% agree, 2 speed is indeed in need! 😉
It's sad but......not all crawlers can be awesome. That one is definitely more unique than many others. Can't wait for paint day??? Maybe that could be an episode? You have a bunch to paint right?
Very surprising. Would a set of non-injoras fill out ruptures?
If you're gonna put all the weight on one side, you should put it on the right so it works better on Qualen.
I dont know if I like this rig, but definitely seems to be fun

I like the wider offset..... that's my 2 cents. 🤓
Shooting for ~9.75". Currently browsing hubs.
A dual purpose truck should be allowed dual sets of tires. Rocky's and Speedy's.

Would the assembly mounts work as a headache rack? Not sure what to call them…..

Have you tried a softer sway bar and brass internal wheel ring

You know I was thinking that the flatirons had a little to much tread so I cut some of mine out
wider is nicer - and stable-ish - maybe cut a bit of lug of the faltiron and softer insert as you said
What happens when you add leaf springs to the front IFS?
I guess it would flex even less than it does now.
@@CrawlerCanyon that’s probably true. One things first sure, it would make for a fun comments section.

I have the 64mm swampclaws on my ax24 and them are some gnarly, sticky, rad looking tires
I really like the body❤
