Hey! Thank you for that video! It really helped me learn the game, especially with all the confusion about the instructions and misprints etc. One feedback I would give you though; your video would gain in appeal if you would speak slower and in a more articulate way. Especially for tutorial videos, this would really help. One example I have is at around 20:30. I could not get this part completely the first time. Cheers!
Glad the video helped! I am always fighting a battle between making the videos shorter and also getting all the content covered. I try to ennunciate but sadly I have been a mumbler all my life which is odd since I am extremely outgoing and am used to public speaking. I will keep trying to be conscious of the mumble and strive to be better, thanks for watching!
@@OffTheShelfGameReviews Yeah I completely understand. I am actually the worst when it comes to mumbling to be honest. I am not a native english speaker so even though I am pretty fluent, it might also play. Depending on your target audience, it might not be a big deal. Good luck with you channel! I’m subscribing!
Heya! I could never sort out how to play this game w/o this video!! Ty!! But question on Repair action: the revised rule I see on the Tau site says you repair 1 Hull plus 1 Hull for each Engineering and Command die. Around 24:47 your example skips the automatic repair 1 Hull. Was this an oops on your part or have the rules changed more? At this point I’m sorta temped to just play this game however I enjoy it and call those the rules…That’s the perk of being a Solo board gamer!
Excellent tutorial, very clear for the most part. one question about team away missions, both players roll all their dice, both players assign their dice, can they fill 2 of the boxes with dice (1 per player) before they need to reroll, or are they still limited to one filled box per turn as a team?
Team rules use the exact same restrictions as a solo away mission, the only real difference is you effectively have a double sized dice pool. So basically better dice odds but same gameplay rules. Hope that helps!
The manual for this game is so badly written, a lot of the information you've covered wasnt in it or easily found in it. You've made this such a clear game now, Im looking forward to actually trying it
away mission 49 has a hazard with a timer with max 5 timer markers, and then you lose the next planning phase as a failure. does the timer reset or is it considered a dead away mission and discarded? the manual doesnt say anything an nobody is talking about it on the forums
Take this with a grain of salt since this was a borrowed copy and I cannot open the box to confirm but I do believe you lose the card and it is discarded.
I like this game a lot and with your great video, its easy to follow the new rules/changes! Many thanks for this! 🏅👍🙂
Amazing! Finally a rules tutorial with the updated rules. Thanks so much for that!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
