I'm an American studying veterinary medicine in Costa Rica, which means everything is in Spanish. Sometimes I get confused because of the complexity of studying in another language so I love to watch your videos to help get things straight in my English-speaking brain. These videos have been a lifesaver for me. Thanks so much!
YESS this is the easiest trick ever if you have fractions, I was struggling during my test of balancing chemical equations because there were fractions involved, so now I know thx :)
I am a Nurse going back for my BSN and I am HATING chemistry lol. Thank you for explaining it in a way that makes it more understandable. It's still difficult but you are helping with your content.
I am taking chemistry 11 for the first time after 30 years and I would say your videos are my go to library. You make chemistry look so easy. Am really grateful
I didn't realized the video was this long 😳. I wasn't happy when I was at the end of the video. It felt like a 6 minutes video. Thank you so much I really enjoyed it.
Hi my name is RUTUJAAA Your explanation is best anyone can understand thanks & I proud u because u talk to in English 😀🙂 best wishes for next videos 💥💯👍👍👍
Your videos really help a lot I struggle in chemistry and my class moves at a pretty fast pace and trying to keep up can be difficult. But your videos make understanding easy.
Hi Melissa, love your work. Do you have any videos on how to calculate the equilibrium constant, solving equilibrium problems in the gas phase and setting up an ICE table?
Hello Melissa, your lessons have really inspired me to start my own RUclips channel, my students watch your videos alot. What app or device are you using in this video? I'll really like to use this technique for my videos. Thank you so much
QUESTION! after you rewrite the entire chem. equation--- do you balance them again? or leave the new chemical equation written out as the completed answer... I'm assuming you have to keep going until you balance them.
This is a midterm grade saver, my chem prof loves to do this thing where she will make up elements for an equation and have us balance them. I guess she does it because she's dealt with cheating in the past but I'll see something like balance Ju3Gh7+Uj9 = blah blah and I am like, really now?
I always follow your channel more than 3 years. I’m a fan club of your Chanel from Laos ( South East Asia) Very nice content. I wonder if u could share the method to create a video ? What software do u use to create this video ? I want to creat the video like you did to teaching my students in rural area during the pandemic.
I think I love it ,but I don't still understand better because I am still in secondary school, and l just got the app this evening I think it will help in my next week ,I love this and my intelligent teacher thanks a lot j
Really a very helpful video mam luv uh alot and really I am thankful for you😘😇God bless you mam۔۔۔۔۔aftr seeing your all videos my basic related to chemistry is clear now really you save my subject 😅😅 thnx mam......lots of love from India💯🥰
What I don't really understand because I am not totally convinced with the theory of " Black body radiation" cuz it's all hypothetical? U get me? Can u please explain it to me?
Is there a place I can find NH4OH+H3PO4 -> (NH4)3PO4+H20 worked out without doing the polyatomic ion trick? I'd like to see just how many more steps there are and just the difference between doing it both ways!
Thank you for everything. This has made learning chemistry way less intimidating! I hope to see more videos in the future!! Been subscribed since last summer.
Hi Melissa you are doing great with me. Please may God bless you. please, may you have a lesson on with me every weekend on science and understand everything in science aspect please. l am 14years.
You're going to run into problems using the polyatomic method balancing for hydroxyl combustion reactions. (C2H5OH+02-->CO2+HOH) At least i did, unless I'm just doing something wrong.
Laoshi/ teacher , you're a good teacher. When I was balancing #1-equation , I was like OMG! I don't have an EVEN number .....BUT you finally made my life easier. Thanks so much ........ This method of balancing EQUATION is actually perfect.
Im confused, if you got 13 from the last problem on the reactant side. Then wouldn't that make it 26, which wouldn't balance out with the 13 on the right.
Mis apart from this I have to ask you a question that how to find charges of polyatomic ions And MI's please please reply Me A beg from this boy And another thing stay home and stay safe😷😷
CH and NH are not polyatomic ions. You would need to separate every element out here. I recommend reviewing what polyatomic ions are: ruclips.net/video/PPfLDdIfOVA/видео.html
@@melissamaribel My teacher teaches a lot of the theory and concepts in Chem 1, but doesn't give a whole lot of example problems. So, for example, the gas laws, I know the formulas but can't always figure out how to use them in my ALEKS homework and on the test. Also, we are covering solution stoichiometry, freezing points, and depressions and I am having a hard time with those topics. We just started reactions and equilibrium and I don't understand how to do those problems.
You taught me what my teacher couldn’t for two months 👏
Breaking up the equation like that is brilliant.
Thank you Mark!
Since we are in quarantine this is so helpful thanks a lot omg I am so early
You’re very welcome! So happy these videos are helping 😊
You are a fabulous teacher. I love the encouragement you give! Thank you.

THIS IS THE 2ND TIME YOU HELPED ME UNDERSTAND WHAT MY TEACHER BACK IN HIGHSCHOOL COULDN'T EXPLAIN CLEARLY LOL
It really helped a lot
Lots of love from india
Trying to understand this from my childhood
Finally i have done it 😂😂
Thankyou so much mam
So helpful! So better than my teacher
I was so worried. Thank you!
This video was super helpful because I was so confused 😕

how about if there are two fractions involved? or there will never be an instances of two fractions?
Never seen 2 fractions in one problem
Can you help me understand ionic and net equations since I just started understanding how to balance equations?
Hi Melissa you are doing great with me. Please may God bless you. please, may you have a lesson on with me every weekend on science and understand everything in science aspect please. l am 14years.
When doing the fraction trick, why does the denominator have to be the same number as the subscript? What is that doing?
i dont know if anyone can respond, but why do we put the hydrogens and oxygens together (OH) instead of solving for them individually?
can you make a video on dispersion, dipole-dipole IMFs, etc?
You're going to run into problems using the polyatomic method balancing for hydroxyl combustion reactions. (C2H5OH+02-->CO2+HOH)

Agreed, don’t use this for any combustion reactions.

Like O2 is on the left side so wouldn't 13 multiply with it.
Actually wait, nevermind I understand,
Thank YOu! ::D
please help me balance C3H5N3O9 --> CO2 + N2 + H2O + O2. I am having a mental breakdown.
Mis apart from this I have to ask you a question that how to find charges of polyatomic ions
And MI's please please reply Me

You have to memorize those charges, I show that in this video: ruclips.net/video/nijb6UMvZuE/видео.html
@@melissamaribel thanks man take care of yourself
would CH count as a polyatomic ion? I thought balancing equations clicked for me and I ran into a problem and now I'm confused again...
so my equation is CH3NH2 + H20 = CH4 + CO2 + NH3.. would I write out C, NH, H, O and find the numbers for these?
I have the answer of the balanced equation but I have no idea how to get there :( I've been working on it for 20 minutes now
CH and NH are not polyatomic ions. You would need to separate every element out here. I recommend reviewing what polyatomic ions are: ruclips.net/video/PPfLDdIfOVA/видео.html
An easier method is just to assume coefficients and make equations to solve them .
what stops me just putting 5.5 in front of the reaction ''O2'' @ 5:03 and get it over with ? the equation is balanced , isn't it ?
5:17 I'm like fraction oh wow
But ur not supposed to u have to keep it whole numbers
I think I love it, but I don't still understand better
why did the subscript become 4 i thought u can only times with 2
how did this girl get lucky enough to be tutored by you??
Ma'am I'm left handed too

solve all this questions in 50 sec per question and i am also in class 8
