I live in Michigan & ride mostly trails & old gravel pits turned into huge ORV riding area, I ride a 22 RM-Z450 & the MX30 suit me well. I'm 52 & have been riding dirt bikes since I were a child, these are one of the best all around tires I've had...I'd recommend them to anyone that rides similar terrain. I've been in sand pits, hard pack, med pack & I've not washed out the front end unless I deserved it, but the rear hook up is amazing in all said terrains. But that of course is my opinion, nobody has to agree with me.

I like the Battlecross X30 and used it for a while. I found it had decent traction in most situations and wore fairly well. It also performed ok even when half worn out. However, I prefer the Michelin Starcross 5 for all-round performance - although it wears out much faster and does not hook up as well as the X30 when worn.

So about 6 years ago I bought a cheap, beat up old Suzuki RMX 250 with no power valves in it, so that I could get back into dirt biking again after a long hiatus. The bikes tyres were shot, so I put on a fresh set of X30's. I am a weekend warrior and dont race and I dont ride that often, maybe 15 to 20 hours a year. I ride mostly sand and gravel with a few stints on rocky terrain. When I sold my bike, the rear still had about 70% tread left and the fronts were virtually still new, so I can attest to their longevity. Grip wise, they were good in sand and fine on the rocky stuff. I never got a punture. They did like to step out quite easily when you powered out of a corner on gravel though. Maybe that happens to all tyres, I dont know, but my RMX wasnt exactly a rocket ship, so suspect the stepping out was due to lack of grip on the hard pack. I only ever had them on my bike so cant really compare them to other tyres. For the price, longevity and all round decent performance, however, they are definately a very good buy. I just purchased a Husqvarna WR300 and am going to put the same tyres on that bike. After the short test ride I did on it I can tell that its a bit of a beast, so will see how the X30's hold up on that bike compared to the RMX.
