Go hálainn ar fad! Nell, tá meangadh gáire álainn agat agus guth an-speisialta. Is breá liom an bealach a chasann tú! Thar barr! Amhrán iontach piocaithe agaibh chomh maith. An-deas an beirt le chéile. ❤

Actually the song is called "An Cailin Aerach", not to be confused with "An Cailin Gaelach".

Como a maioria dos Irlandeses estão deixando seu próprio idioma morrer?

It’s all in Ireland’s history. The English played a huge part in the death of billions of languages and cultures around the world, including their own neighbouring nations cultures and languages. There’s a lot to it.

OK, I don't understand a word of this, but am I correct in suspecting that the song is a dirty joke?

Hang on, actually, it can't be. Maybe I'm just utterly stupid, but looking up the lyrics to Cath Chéim an Fhia gave me a completely unrelated text - no "falde dalde" interlude, and what words I can identify from the singing (my level of Irish is somewhat bad) like "cuig" and "bhí" don't appear in them...

    It's "Cath Chéim an Fhia".
