  • I don't know if this qualifies as ASMR, but here's a set of official A Dance of Fire and Ice levels that I would listen to on the regular, and each one with Pure Perfect rating (all Green Perfects). Played on Strict where possible. Maybe Emomomo wouldn't be quite in my top 5, but the rest are definitely my favorites from the game so far. ADOFAI is a one-button (or any-button) and relatively strict rhythm game, and it's pretty inexpensive, too. Definitely recommended.

    9:25 Artificial Chariot (Level 12-X) - Pure Perfect
    11:16 Classic Pursuit (Level 9-X) - Pure Perfect

    (I wish the game gave you the option of playing on Strict on everything, but it only seems to be available on the levels with super high BPM sections)
    I'm quite good at the following games and sports:
    - Five Nights at Freddy's Series
    - DDR (also while Juggling)
    - Dungeon Defenders
    - Basketball & NBA Baller Beats
    - Running (also while Juggling = Joggling)
    - Skill-based Arcade Games (e.g. Super Shot, Two Minute Drill, Cornhole, etc.)
    - Pump it Up
    - Overcooked and Overcooked 2
    - Retro:Grade
    - Build-a-Lot
    - Several Others...
    If you have requests within the games that I still play, or if you have a game that you'd like to request, feel free to request it. I usually have a pretty busy schedule, but I try to make time to relax and play some of these games. Hey Sterf have you tried some of the featured custom levels yet? There’s some pretty cool levels recommended by the devs in there that are worth checking out at some point if you haven’t! Though it’s pretty easy one that I really enjoy playing is Classy Kitty cause I like swing maps. Awesome video btw if I ever want to listen to these levels being played, especially to better understand the rhythm, these videos are my go to cause your sense of timing is borderline unparalleled lol

    • @djsterf
      @djsterf  Год назад +1

      I downloaded a few...I've very frequently had a stigma with customs in anything. I'm not really interested in the top-end spam or like 4-keys-at-once type charts at all, but some of the more cool-rhythm ones I may try at some point. +Thanks!

    • @midatlanticgamer9737
      @midatlanticgamer9737 Год назад +1

      @@djsterf Yeah I totally agree with your view on them, I personally only really play the ones that are still 2 key at most and rhythm focused over just speed and there are still a decent amount of levels in featured that fit that criteria but yeah I get where you’re coming from. A lot of rhythm games at high levels I feel kinda lose out on what makes it musical and instead focuses on just pure technical, high speed rhythm. Personally that musical aspect where the levels’ charting compliments the song and almost feels like another instrument in the piece is what makes the rhythm genre so cool to me

      @@midatlanticgamer9737 I tend to treat it the same way I treat hot sauce -- if it's super hot just to be hot, I'm not into it. If it's any range of hot and has really interesting flavor, I'm definitely into it.

    about how long does it take you to perfect these from just playing it for the first time to 100%ing it? this looks pretty difficult and fun

    • @djsterf
      @djsterf  Год назад +2

      To go Pure Perfect? 'It Go' took way longer than I wanted LOL (144 tries at the moment, though that does include learning it, which took about 1/4 of that). Rest are a lot less (Options I've played at least 60 times with a lot of -1). I had a stream where I first played things a while back, so that one is fun to revisit if you want to see me struggle on a few and excel on another few.

    '(I wish the game gave you the option of playing on Strict on everything, but it only seems to be available on the levels with super high BPM sections)'
    Strict does nothing unless the level has a super high BPM section (I think 330+?). In ADOFAI the higher the BPM the stricter the timing, and 'Strict' makes it so the tightest timing it can reach is tighter.
    Anyway, It Go Pure Perfect is damned good

    • @djsterf
      @djsterf  Год назад +2

      o tru, so it doesn't make a difference when it's not available then, correct? lol thanks @ It Go -- it took longer than I wanted for sure to Pure Perfect it.

    • @Patashu
      @Patashu Год назад +1

      @@djsterf Yeah exactly. Normal caps at 310 bpm/+-32.26ms, Strict caps at 500 bpm/+-20ms. And you're only offered the option to change to Strict if it would make a big enough difference, I think 340 bpm is when it starts being offered? Hence why you can't play One Forgotten Night on Strict but you can play Options on Strict.
      (Some other windows, for contrast: DDR perfect is +-33.33ms, DDR marv is +-16.66ms, Rhythm Doctor Hard is +-40ms, Rhythm Doctor 'Very Hard' is +-25ms, ITG Fantastic is +-23ms on modern setups)
