Had the doctor faced similar circumstances and struggles the ML had faced, he would have been different too. She met Dr Shao when everything around him was going great. Imagine Dr Shao being defamed and incarcerated for almost a year, his mother going mentally ill and then dying..All we were shown were only good things when FL was with Dr Shao. Life aint roses always. If writers were to show FL with Dr. Shao, they would surely not show Dr. Shao understanding and jolly for 30+ episodes. Writers would create misunderstandings between them for sure. And, if Dr. Shao were a ML and still alive, you guys would be rooting for the second Lead there as well. Many would have even commented that Second lead should be the ML.
Money is loyal to money. They also tend to retain their privileged or elitist circles even if some of them are assh***s. They grew up together, inter marry, go to the same private schools, schooled in elite schools abroad, know each others secrets but most importantly do business together. If you go back and spend 1-2 min rewatch that scene on Episode 27 starting at 35:25 The English translation goes " what happened to the baby?" But her father was really saying to them she lost the baby suddenly asking them what happend between them(NOT THE BABY). IF that help. The script in Chinese is accurate but the "what happened to the baby?" Is not, that line shouldn't be there. "You lost the baby" or "you miscarriage"

This is seriously ridiculous. 😫 I can't with this drama anymore. We are 30 episodes in and it's STILL literally nothing but heartbreak and misunderstandings. After all of this time of her ignoring his feelings and pushing him away, he does it to her. They finally acknowledge each other and she can't handle one dinner that she was clear was given in his honor? Because she's upset about a dress? Then a side conversation? She just up and leaves? Then starts the nothing he does is good enough or will make her happy?

@L S the English translation on that specific part was not so accurate. If you go back and spend 1-2 min rewatch that scene on Episode 27 starting at 35:25 The English translation goes " what happened to the baby?" But her father was really saying to them she lost the baby suddenly asking them what happend between them(NOT THE BABY). IF that help. The script in Chinese is accurate but the "what happened to the baby?" Is not, that line shouldn't be there. "You lost the baby" or "you miscarriage"
