xingqiu and chongyun are best friends in the game infact i think their friendship is the strongest friendship yet in this game. They’re also designed for each other in gameplay. Other than that xingqiu like to tell chongyun ghost stories and tease him sometimes by getting him to eat chilies. As well as they also mention each other in their character stories. Another big thing is that in an interview with one of the designers of genshin impact when it got to xingqiu and chongyun they said that xingqiu gave chongyun a tassel not only as a sign of friendship but that he will become a greatly successful exorcist one day. A few days later chongyun gifted xingqiu a handmade tassel as well. Chongyun also talks about xingqiu in his hangout event. but yeah that’s why it’s a very big ship

@@TO5993-j they have a hangout event in the quests with barbara, bennett, noelle, and chongyun it’s not really about their backstory but he mentions xingqiu in chongyun hangout, and you can unlock his character story by getting his friendship level higher and by doing that you defeat bosses do commissions etc.
