It cost about $200 to buy ADS dual wall piping for culvert. This is a lot of time to make a pipe and hdpe will out last painted drums. Just my 2 cents.
I actually priced out the ADS and it was anywhere b/n $26 and $35 per foot before tax. I agree in that it will last forever, so might be worth the investment. These barrels cost me $60 though plus paint. Figured I make a video in case someone on a low budget needed some inspiration. Appreciate the feedback 👊🏼
24x9.6' ADS at Tractor Supply is $399 so he saved some good money doing this. They could last a while depending on climate and soil. I did something similar in a desert climate, and the tubes are doing fine after almost 10 years.
