In my opinion Vol.3 is so underrated but if you look at that album Jay was being so ambitious. He had features from every corner of the country from Dr.Dre, Timbaland, Juvenile, to UGK. I feel he was feeling himself at this time as the biggest hip hop artist. This is a little before he came at Nas to make a play for the top. I will say this is 1 of Jay's last raw albums and his delivery after this album starts to shift. It's surprisingly a cohesive album considering the amount of features it had.

The Dynasty is way too low in my opinion also it’s the album that helped the exposure of Kanye and Just Blaze before the Blueprint. Agree with the ranking. I'm still banging the Hard Knock Life Album even now. Total soft spot for it. Totally over looked by some which is a shame. Who else could rap over a hook from "Annie" but Jay-Z. One thing I would say is that in creating "Reasonable Doubt", props to Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" album in 1995 guest-starring Ghostface Killah, as that was a big influence on the concept for Jay-Z's classic 1996 debut album.

American Gangster is so underrated… like the song pray is so vivid. I’d prob rate it like like 6 7 but it just felt like jay really tapped back in to that lifestyle fully all over again.
