Shankar = Lord of classical singing mainly & well experienced in some other geners of singing too . Ehsaan = Lord of instrumental Chords (esp guitar) & well experienced in other Geners of music production as well. Loy = Lord of instrumental key tones (mainly synthesizer/piano) & well experienced in other fields of music production too. If u look at it closely, these three together are the LORDS of music and needs no one else to rely on. The wright words to describe Mr. Sonu Nigam is that he is the 'Prince of singing' who do need support from the other lords and kings of music.. Its because of his versitality and outstanding personality ,, He remains undisputed amongst all the singers of bollywood.. it was not a show; it was a pooja at Shankar Mahadevan;s house and they just asked him to stand up and sing. Its even more impressive that he was able to coach the musicians as he was singing impromptu.

I don't know about you all but for me Sonu's random singing is like a meditation ... I thoroughly enjoy his live performances than recorded songs... He can handle anything... He chooses to focus on his singing and performing.
Listen to "Tees Maar Khan" title track. Sonu sir has given total 54 voices in that song alone even chorus as well. I think that's his most difficult song
This clearly shows how instrument players are under appreciated. They get all the flak for small mistakes even if they never practiced for a particular song yet they played. And the singers always feel like they are the main character and without them there is no song, but they are clearly mistaken, without instruments you don't have songs, you can get n number of singers to replace. Even him asks for Sruthi in the beginning which an instrument needs to provide and then later mistreats the tabla player.
He was helping him out to understand the rhythm because he had already sang this song... but the Tabla man didn't know the tal which was used in that particular song...so he was explaining the Tala with imitating the rhythm...
Im pretty sure you have never been to any kind of live raw impromptu concerts before otherwise you would know its common and not any kind of mistreatment
