I love this show but this speech is the reason people like my dad hate awards. People don't want to see you read a laundry list of names they want to see you say something about why you love making your show or something important about anything.
@gill426 Nothing of the kind. I don't sense an air of negativity whatsoever. DD & GA stood like 2 ft away from each other; I didn't think they needed to be huddled up. This was the first major award X-Files won. The focus was on the moment. Besides, it's not polite to talk behind someone while they're giving a speech.
What the...what the hell is wrong with them? David and Gillian stepping away from each other so far, what was going on back then? They used to always stick together making cute little comments or at least sharing mischievous looks but here they look as if they reeeeaaally had some issues with each other. Weird and kind of sad.

GA attended this show with her then husband. The cute Duchovny/Anderson stuff happens in later award shows after GA divorced her husband.
