My email to the WaterPik. The WaterPik model WP-100W has a design flaw and should be recalled. I need a replacement switch for my WATERPIK WP-100W that was purchased 6 months ago. The fault is in the gear-switch mechanism that allows the internal switch contacts of the switch to be partially closed, this results in motor stalling at full position eventually blowing the thermal fuse. A DC motor under a load will run hot with too little voltage. A low voltage forces a motor to draw extra current thus blowing the thermal fuse.
