Once in 2019, my wife and I came from Russia to the Nürburgring in an old Lada 2101, then we were traveling with a small budget and there was no way to pay for a lap on the track. Then Misha gave us 40 euros, I still remember that day. Thank you Mikhail, it was one of the best days of my life.
A couple of specs if interested: Chassis is an original BMW E30 M3, raced for multiple years in VLN and 24hs NBR in Group N (close to stock) class, so still full interiour and so on. Suspension: Bilstein/BMW Motorsport Group N coilovers Brakes: Standard E30 M3 with Hawk HT10 Pads Engine slightly optimized, different (closer) gear ratios, and shorter (3.91) final drive. Perfect with the 80s music! This car is so special to drive, its so raw and pure, everything feels so much faster. Sometimes, not always, but sometimes, I think we need to get back in time. Because everything was a lot more emotional AND a lot more appreciated. What a beautiful lap. Nice to see the speedcomparison to the other cars. The e30 was a really fast car back in the days and is even more enjoyable today!

One of the best car and track combos that you could ever experience. I am very jealous you even get to drive an E30 M3, let alone somewhere as prestigious as the Nordschleife itself. If I could somehow get myself even a base model E30 with a manual I think my life would be that much better off.
The best analog non-turbo car of the last 50 years. It takes your complete concentration just to hopefully not crash it. My palms are drenched just watching this awesomeness.
Nice video, the look & feel of it plus the other cars on the track made me question when it was filmed, I was feeling like i was looking at an archive reel from the nineties, lots of very interesting cars you overpassed, I didn’t expect to see an autobianchi Y10 there for example… loved it.

That's what real car driving is all about, purity in his highest form! Rather something like that than being isolated with tons of horsepower with a bunch of elektronics and crash-tested safety standards.
That felt fast! Good to see all these classics on the track. Some of the closing speeds were scary. Nice every so often to get a "no added sugar" video but I do prefer when you talk a bit

The BMW E30 M3 is simply the best looking and sounding (touring)car ever… that engine is pure artwork, it’s legendary and should be on the UNESCO world heritage list… period.
It took me maybe 10 overtakes beyond the X19 to realise the age of the cars on track, so I watched it twice. I gave up counting early on, too vague guessing jumps in 40 50 & 60 years old. Please say you have a vlog in editing from the car park that day 🤞
Fantastic video. I love you Misha and I like hearing you talk, but there's something great about an occasional pure lap with no intro, just gnarly induction noise and a dogleg manual gearbox.
There is something special about the golden age DTM and BTCC cars. I know the road going versions are nothing alike, but it still feels amazing, knowing there is this tremendous potential.
A Fifty Grand golden Nugget. No way to do not fall in ❤️ with it. So impressive car... I would like to see that Sierra Cosworth on board too please. How Its perform on the Ring, it should be really nuts too.
It's such a cool time to own an E30. You get an insane amount of attention from the public and it offers such an incredibly pure driving experience compared to todays cars, all while still being quite inexpensive for a sorted example.
How beautiful a BMW 4 cyl. inline can be, no boxer, no V, no 6 cyl, and they aready weight around 1200 kg with full tank. After 30 years still a serious Touring Car, but hard work driving with private dance at the pedals and steering. Thanks for sharing.
I owned 1990 E30 M3 back in 1993 ,I traded in for a brand-new Sierra Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth , the M3 was such a better car In reality. To this day, the E30 M3 I owned was the best car I had in that decade .
