  • MPC (drums and sequencing)
    JP-8000
    Virus Ti
    TX81Z
    Opsix and BigSky reverb
    MicroFreak
For some reason, the JP-8000 likes to play on the same MIDI channel as my lead (Opsix) despite being on different MIDI channels, but sometimes it works out in a mix like a happy little accident.

    Great song! I love it!
I am in a simular situation as you. I am 37 years old. I have Asperger's and dyslexia. I have never had a relationship, never even a short term relationship. I also have low status job, which is okay, but it would be nice to have a job were I could use my talents. I am also into music. I have been playing guitar since 2002. Greetings from Sweden!
    Keep it up!

I am a noob in musical instruments. Why are there so many piano keyboards? Even if someone is a good pianoist, is he/she supposed to be jumping from one keyboard to another in this set up? I just want to learn how it works because i am interested. Thanks.

@demonslayer9772 that's a good question, actually, and now that you mention it, perhaps I should do a video breaking down the process. So what I've done is sequenced everything- the MPC on the right side of the video is the "brain" of the setup, sending midi data to all the synths. Each synth is on its own midi channel. I'll set a sequence length to, say, 4 bars, hit "record," the MPC plays a metronome click at the tempo I've set it to, and I play the part using the midi keyboard controller to control the particular synth I want to use. The notes are quantized, meaning aligned to the closest beat grid (and I can go in and move a note if it's off timing, using the MPC touch screen). I do this for each layer of the song, so usually I do the bass line first on track 1, then a lead using another synth, and so forth, and I can copy patterns to the next sequence and add variations. When I turn the knob on the MPC, it's switching to the next pattern/sequence, which starts as soon as the currently playing one ends. I can also play on top of the sequence on the synth's own keys, too, for more variation, but I'm not very good at live playing, lol. Hope this helps.
