when I was a kid growing up in New york as a jets fan we would play tackle football at school..even though as jets fans the dolphins were hated, we would still want to call ourselves the dolphins ...the qb was marino and the kids playing receiver were always duper and Clayton...I tell my own kids how great those guys were..if marino to duper and Clayton were around today....they would shatter records .

@@michaelfrazia4569 oh man, Marino would throw for 70+ tds in todays league and both duper and Clayton would get 2000 receiving yards..EASILY

@@Whompy420 the numbers would be insane...he was off the charts in the 80s...imagine that guy ever had a real run game in his prime?...

Imagine that trio in today’s NFL it would be scary they would be unstoppable. They were virtually unstoppable then.

You would need a crazy defensive back roster and a big pass rush.

@@oldworldorder9424 definitely but I’m saying it from the perspective of the rules in today’s NFL it’s virtually flag football compared to what it was. You can’t touch the quarterback you can’t touch the receivers if you couldn’t touch Marino good luck the NFL product today I feel like is awful compared to back in the 80s and 90s, but that’s just my personal opinion

Clayton should definitely be in the HOF,he was one of the best WR’s of the 80s

This is like a time machine into my childhood. I became a fins fan in 1981 and so many good times watching the, throughout the 80s and my teen years.
I had a rough childhood filled with abuse. But, the one beacon of happiness were autumn Sundays rooting for my beloved dolphins

add Dwight Stephenson on this highlight with his perfect snaps and blocking from the Center positon. Those 4 men were all on a different level while touching the ball.

I hated the Dolphins, but Dan Marino is the greatest pure passer with the quickest release and most accurate deep ball, ive EVER seen...and ive seen em all from Unitas to Mahomes...

talent-wise, if you put Stephon Diggs and Antonio Brown (in his prime) on the same team, thats what Mark Clayton and Mark Duper were...amazing route runners with speed, great footwork and great hands..

If these 3 played together in today’s easy game, no record would be left. These guys were 5’7, possibly 5’8” and would go across the middle, take balls away from much bigger defenders, along with catching anything near them. You should see Claytons hands now, what a mess. Look at those throws also.
