I dont think its possible for the season 3 to be released this year as the studio behind tokyo ghoul is currently working on One Punch Man Season 2 and from what ive heard they will start working on TG season 3 as soon as they finish with One Punch Man Season 2....TG season 3 is confirmed but i think we'll have to w8 a bit longer for it, maybe mid 2018 or so i think....

This is the info I have heard from the creators off Tokyo ghoul they said that Kaneki surrenders to the CCG and loses his memories but I hope he gets his memories back by Touka and then Kaneki became a ghoul investigator and was given the name Hasie Sasaki and he is going to have a squad called the Quinx squad and they all ghouls like Kaneki and yes we are still gonna be seeing Touka and the fam in a new coffee shop but in season 3 Hinami is now 16/17 years old and joins Aogiri, aslo Aogiri starts to turn humans into ghouls and there might be a possibility that Amon might get turned into a ghoul and Kaeki's hair will be half black and white
