More problematic: Kara said no to a date with him and he still continues with gifts ( coffee) and text messages. When he points this out, she’s fine with it. This sends a damaging message

If you like a person, why your friends have to spell it out to you? Also I am speaking from the way the writers want to portrait the difference not how Kara perceives them.

I don’t think Lena’s being manipulated. She’s just going through this Non Nocere experiment knowing full well it violates human free will. If she continues with her belief it is the best for humanity, it will be a terrible shock when Kara thinks differently.

I don't know of you recognized him..but this man was the one in season 4 when Lena and Kara/Supergirl where in prision to find something about Lex etc.
I'm like... The thing is that these human trials prove that Lena isn't planning on taking over. This is sounding more like an option she can offer. The problem comes when it's not voluntary.
It will end up being used involuntarily and Lena will get the blame. ☹️☹️
@@america6545 Well yeah, obviously. That's how that kinda ish goes. But I'm glad we had a chance here to see that she genuinely is thinking of it as a thing people will do on purpose rather than she's going to hit the whole world. It was important that she was horrified at it going wrong.
Also, Katie was just too damned gorgeous in this episode. The gay screams coming out of me disturbed my neighbor. (Who upon seeing a screenshot I texted to explain the shrieking replied, "Dayum, okay she can get it.")
What's going to go wrong is that Lena will probably abuse this power

If the Kara/William romance is gonna be a thing, I just want Kara to tell somebody, anybody why she likes him. She told Winn in the part 2 episode that she didn't know if she liked him and wasn't sure if she wanted to go out with him. She should say why she wants to now. Also does she not care anymore that she'd be lying to start their relationship?

So Lena doubled down instead of taking what Kara said to heart. I kind of see where Lena was coming from. In her mind she wasn't doing harm, she felt Kara was labeling her unjustly. It's not until 5x18 that Lena realizes Kara had been right
I'm with you --- I hated the William/Kara romance scenes they are hinting at -- I completely shipped Karamel but every scene with William/Kara is so cringeworthy

Anyhow, back to this show.. As much as I love Lena and think she is a major BAWSE, I wish she would confide in someone who ISN'T Lex, like Sam in the alternate timeline.. My issue with what she's doing is taking away people's free will to create a utopia (I think loosely speaking that is how oppression can begin with good intentions)

Also do you think the nice prison man reacted like that because he is a nice guy, I know he’s in prison but maybe it will have the opposite effect on him or something because none of the other inmates reacted like that and it shows them been bullies so it would work properly with them.

I think they are going to put Kara and William together , but I think that at the same time Lena is going to forgive Kara and I have the feeling that Kara is going to care more about Lena , then William thinks that is best if they are nothing , because he sees that Kara cares so much more about Lena than him.. THEORY

I really want an episode where Lena is successful and her “Do No Harm” thing goes off all over National City and affects everyone and then Lena’s first thought is to go see Kara but when she does she realizes that because of what she’s done, Kara and her no longer have a connection and now Kara has no desire to make her happy or express any emotion. Then Lena would have to wake her up out of her state of mind and beg her to help undo it. BAM! I just made an episode

I like this guy, but honestly Supergirl has been garbage for the past few years. Lex Luthor is the best thing about it. The only thing that would make it better is if Lena became permanently evil. Other than that, the show is very uninteresting

I know it's weird to say, but the say you feel about Kara and William is the same way I feel about Barry and Iris.
They play them up like this golden couple but I just don't see it.
Iris loved Barry since she held him in her arms crying as children? Why not get together in high school?
She finds out her she Barry are destined to get married? Says screw destiny and agreed to marry Eddie.
Barry is even worse, dates Linda and tells Iris he doesn't feel that way about her when she gets jealous, and immediately goes back on that when she confesses. Cue time travel and Barry IMMEDIATELY BREAKING UP WITH LINDA TO ASK OUT IRIS.
Spends MONTHS STALKING IRIS in Flashpoint before even TRYING to ask her out, not to mention the fact that when he was "introducing himself" he states they went to ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOGETHER, meaning they're BASICALLY STRANGERS and could be leading entirely different lives.
I'd be fine if they had at least TRIED SOMETHING NEW where they didn't grow up together, but Barry was wanting to have his parents and date Iris(using memories from an alternate timeline).
Patty MIGHT be in danger from Zoom? Break up and send her away to Opal City, WHERE HE CAN'T PROTECT HER IF ZOOM COMES AFTER HER.
Iris GUARANTEED to be in danger from Savitar? LET'S GET MARRIED!!!! (AND IT TOOK MUSIC MEISTER TO SHOW HIM WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THAT IDEA.
I always just felt that the "Iris West-Allen" byline was maybe a red herring, like Iris adds his name to hers, as a true sister, knowing he's going to vanish in Crisis,so the Allen name at least doesn't disappear as well.
I don't blame Lena, ik its wrong but i guess she has a reason. In season 3 Supergirl aka Kara didn't have a good relasonship with Lena, and I feel like Lena was just trying to help Sam. I know that Lena isnt right or wrong, but you know Kara betrayed her and lied to her for months.

T.O T.O she still has her memories of all of his wrongdoings and to be quite honest it’s insulting to her character to seek advice from or even work with her brother who, by the way, she shot and killed so he would never hurt anyone again. She read his journals where he states he manipulated her etc and she knew and knows he is far from redemption and that’s why she killed him you silly goose :)
So in conclusion, she is acting like a super idiot. You are allowed to disagree, but I think you’re wrong

I feel the the same about kara and William tbh it like there trying to through them in or faces and make us like them . I would much prefer if kara didn't have a love story and worked more on her job reporting like in season 1. I just don't feel the chemistry there like they try and make out there is .
I, too, had to pause at the beginning of the show, thinking this must be a Game of Thrones crossover! When William showed up again (after such a great hundredth episode,which was all about how Kara felt about Lena), I literally yelled at the TV “NOOO!“. I cannot believe that they’re going back down this storyline. Ugh! No chemistry!

They aren't pushing anything. Kara is struggling with dating like any other normal person and normal ppl can be stuck in between liking someone but not being sure if they're ready

Bird she’s known William like 4 seconds and her biggest regret in dating him is like “well I don’t want to have to lie to him about my identity” and she’s already done that (or concealed her identity is you prefer) and 2. She just met him so I’m just a little bit confused as to why she would even trust him enough to want to tell him in the first place. But idk I still think they’re forcing a bit. But maybe that’s the only way they can give her a new love interest so it’s 50/50 for me
@@Sam-J well I mean the only reason shes questioning if she should tell him is bc the way Lena turned on her and that has now become a proven fear of hers. As far as William I don't really care for him and believe he has another motive but I will say Kara has went from thinking he was a jerk to finding his backstory and now to seeing a nice guy in the new world, its been what 11 episodes so id say hes been around

Idk maybe I’ll grow to like him, but if that’s so he needs more screen time and I need to see the chemistry develop. I don’t want the show to say “oh they like each other” you should be able to just see it, other than their awkwardness and gifts (via William).

Love the characters-- well most of them-- but this episode was clunky.... Agree w you; not into the Kara-William romance. I think they work great as friends and partners, but not more. Not into the Obsidian and the No Harm stories.
It’s getting really hard to watch this play out. I’m Okay with writers giving Kara a date but can we build this up. Like you guys just jump the gun and know we are suppose to think they are great together. It’s just weird! Getting Alex or Winn to co-sign doesn’t anything and so out of character for them.

UK viewer here so I'm super late. This episode sucked, it's like the writers are so anti supercorp and I don't know why. Maybe it's not the writers but someone higher up. Is Melissa not ok with Supergirl being bi because it's definitely possible.
